My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Stay in a picturesque Victorian farm house sitting on three rolling acres in the middle of nowhere, but only a 3 minute drive from the nearest Walmart and other amenities. This home was a great place, lots of space for us to spend time and the view of the river was gorgeous. My kids felt right at home and while the neighbor houses are really close it was still quite private. Not walking distance to the town but we were able to take a long walk down the road without much traffic and it was beautiful. Lots of board games my kids enjoyed playing and was so nice that snacks were provided. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Cathy was the ultimate hostess with the mostess!! She was amazingly responsive and quick to act on any requests or questions. Her home was well kept and was obviously lovingly maintained and designed to make her guests as comfortable as possible. She went above and beyond when she provided a gift, card and some small decorations for my mom's 80th birthday, which we were in town to celebrate. Will definitely look to see availability when coming to town again. Thank you, Cathy!

I had a wonderful stay at the cabin Airbnb! Beth, Brittany, and Matt were absolutely amazing hosts — super welcoming and helpful. The place was spotless and had such a refreshing vibe. One of my favorite touches was finding the fresh eggs in the fridge — chef’s kiss! The outdoor space was so peaceful, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The goats, sheep, and cows added a nice farm charm without being a bother at all. I even made a new buddy with the farm dog, who stayed by my side while I enjoyed the fire at night. Truly a special experience — I’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay here in Valparaiso! Loved the location! From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the views, the peacefulness, the birds singing, and the amenities. We really enjoyed the dome, sitting in the Adirondack chairs, the coffee bar, and the fireplace. The bed was super comfortable. This was a perfect location for us to visit the Indiana Dunes National and State parks.

Renata is a great host and her place is really amazing. The house is with spacious living room and area where you can play tennis and other games . The kitchen is very functional and fully stacked. The backyard overlooks the river and has very comfortable sitting areas . We enjoyed every moment of our stay and we already plan to come back !
