Monthly Rentals in Makanda Township

Peaceful, Quiet & Comfortable. Plenty of room for our group to spread out. 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room upstairs and the same downstairs. We all slept so soundly.

A perfect multiple pet friendly place to stay in a small town close to both Carbondale & Giant City Lodge… great for a two night stay to get some local cycling in & dinners out at the GC Lodge & lots of options near the college campus. Appreciated all the extras for our dogs, as well as the use of a 2 car garage & washer/dryer… FYI the mattresses are extra firm, which I liked… while my wife was so so on. Would definitely stay again if travel back this way for more riding w/pets. The host is a super fast & friendly communicator… thanks again Anita.

Candice was a wonderful host. Her home is cozy, warm, and welcoming. Kitchen allowed us to cook if we chose to or the list of recommendations gave us options to pick from. Location near the National Forest and State parks is what drew us to the home, but the pond and patio were added bonuses. Enjoyed coffee in the morning watching the birds at the feeder and wine in the evening down by the water on the dock. Lots of local wineries and eateries to choose from to fill the days up. Bedrooms were clean, large, and comfortable. Thank you for a great getaway. Can’t wait to come again.

The place was great. I’d recommend Giant City State Park which was very close by for hiking and lots more. This was a great country getaway and was very peaceful. Will definitely come back.
