Neighborhood highlights

This lovely neighborhood is mostly woods and fields. I was once told there are more deer than people in this area. I know most of the neighbors who live near Peaceful Hills Retreat, and they are very friendly and at times have been extremely helpful. We have a great community in this quiet, rural area. The wildlife is abundant here, and it's not uncommon to see wild animals while driving here. The most common animals you'll see are deer, turkeys, groundhogs, skunks, hawks, and there is a pair of bald eagles that you may catch a glimpse of on Hwy 50. There are no bears in this area that I know of, and I've been here for a long time. Feel free to take walks down the lane by the creek and there is a nice entrance to access the creek by the bridge. If you do venture into the woods during the warmer months, beware of ticks. They're in the woods and tall grasses, so be sure to use bug repellant if hiking the trails in the woods. The creek is definitely a favorite place for guests, since the sound of the the sparkling stream is soothing to the soul! The spring water is cool and refreshing, plus you may see some crawdads and minnows.

My brilliant brother told me about Airbnb when I went to visit him in the Carolinas. I experienced my first stay in an Airbnb home. It was a lovely two story home, and it made the week very enjoyable. The host was very friendly and helpful. I went on another wonderful trip to Kentucky and stayed in a newly remodeled Airbnb apartment. I later went to Niagara Falls and stayed in a Canadian Airbnb home. I’m now sold on Airbnb’s. It’s the best!
