Little Piddle is a charming, self-contained annex set within the garden of our home — the perfect spot to relax in Dorset.
Surrounded by nature enjoy views across fields and the water meadows, with the River Piddle flowing through our garden. It’s a haven for wildlife lovers, with plenty of birdlife to watch from your own private balcony.

The annex is self-contained, offering privacy and comfort during your stay. Ideal for couples or solo travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle.

The space
Welcome to our peaceful and light-filled annex, perfect for a relaxing countryside stay. Overlooking the tranquil river and water meadows—home to wild birds and visiting swans with their cygnets—this calming retreat offers both comfort and natural beauty.

Inside the Annex:

A bright, open-plan space featuring a kingsize bed, sofa, coffee table, and dining area
Smart TV and superfast Wi-Fi for entertainment and remote work.
Private balcony with stunning views over the river and fields—ideal for morning coffee or evening wine

Kitchenette Facilities:

Fridge, toaster, microwave
Tea & coffee making facilities
Crockery, cutlery, and utensils provided

Bathroom:

Private, with a full-sized bath and shower over bath

Additional Amenities:

We are happy to accommodate an infant with a travel cot & can provide a single mattress on the floor for a child at no additional cost. Should an adult wish to stay as a third guest on the mattress, there will be a small supplementary charge.

The space is perfect for a couple or solo person- but if the guests wish to book with a child/baby/children then we are happy to accommodate their needs.
We can also provide a highchair/baby bath.

We are happy to also accommodate well behaved dogs with sensible dog owners!

Bike-friendly: guests are welcome to store bikes securely in our locked garage or shed
Just a short drive to Puddletown Forest, a popular spot for cycling and nature walks

Please note:
Due to external steps leading to the annex, it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. However, the steps are equipped with handrails on both sides for added support.

Guest access
Guest have sole use of the annex during their stay, private bathroom within annex,

We would be happy to show any children staying our 20 hens in the paddock and sheep (including 2 bottle fed lambs!).

Other things to note
There is an abundance of beautiful places to explore locally, including the iconic Jurassic Coast, the stunning Studland Beach, and the famous Durdle Door. You'll also find a wide variety of places to eat, from charming Dorset pubs — one just a lovely walk away in Little Piddle — to award-winning restaurants.

A true local gem is Langham Wine Estate, a picturesque vineyard offering wine tastings, à la carte dining, and special events such as seafood nights accompanied by live music.

For history enthusiasts, Athelhampton House, a magnificent Tudor manor with gardens, is just a two-minute walk.
