Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hubbards

Such a beautiful AirBnB. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 1 infant. Spacious and wonderful views. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Lots of outdoor sitting areas, and we enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fireplace and canoeing. A great location for exploring Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and several beaches. Melissa was a wonderful host 😊. You won’t regret staying at Three Sheep’s to the Wind.

We had the pleasure to stay for the month of August. Great location overlooking a lake, just a short walk to a small quiet beach on the ocean. An old railway track converted to biking/walking path close by. Close to groceries and restaurants. Great location for day trips to Peggy’s cove/Halifax boardwalk/many parks and beaches. The home had everything you need. Just bring your swim trunks and spirit of adventure. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

Everything that you could have possibly needed was available. Close to a small little town that had restaurants, grocery store etc. The views in and around the cottage were spectacular

Marvellous start of our 5+ weeks Nova Scotia - Newfoundland tour. Lovely apartment with outstanding view located directly at the beach.

Our second summer stay was just as wonderful as the first. More familiar this time, so the whole family felt right at home. Chris was once again very warm and welcoming in his communications. Look forward to our third stay next year if we can be so fortunate.

What a beautiful location. The suite had everything we needed and we fell asleep to the sound of the surf. Need to go back and stay longer!

We rented the tent and cabin as a group of four and had a lovely stay- the cabin was a good place to warm up in May and the tent is well equipped with a full bed, lighting, battery pack. The hot tub was a great place to unwind. Loved seeing the goats, guinea fowl, a bunny, and pups on the property and Heather was a great host!

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

Beautiful house, incredible views from the house and just a short walk to the beach from the house. Lots of games for adults and kids. Very well equipped in terms of plates cutlery etc we did not see any wildlife but we know there were some outdoor nighttime critters because the Easter eggs we hid outdoors for the kids were almost all gone by morning!

This place was just what we needed for our stay in Halifax. We were within walking distance of local restaurants and a cycle shop where we could rent bikes. The inside was cosy, clean, and really made you feel welcome. Andrea was responsive and a lovely host! Would definitely recommend. :)

Gerry is an excellent host. He is caring and full of attentions. His tips are super useful. He cares about your wellbeing. He sure does the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. He has done a lot for me. I definitely recommend.

We had an incredible trip at Candace's place. The home was stunning and was perfect for our group of 6. If you have the opportunity to book your trip to Halifax here, I would definitely recommend!

PAM & J.P were extraordinary. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an unexpected extra. Gustave is going to miss Maple a lot. Small comment WHICH IS NOT A CRITICISM. The refrigerator is not very big, so don't do too much grocery shopping at once. We arrived with too many things and not everything fit. But again, that's okay. There's a grocery store not far away. It's very easy. Just don't plan too far ahead if you have a big family like mine. The pool is amazing!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches. We had a great time with the family!!!

This was our second time here. Felt like home. Great, thoughtful hosts. Hydrostone is great. Walk to town is easy with lots to see on the way.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Port Williams, Nova Scotia. The host was warm, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish; this is the first time at this property and we will be back. The house was spotless and spacious, with large rooms and clean, well-stocked bathrooms. There was plenty of space for our group to gather, work, and chat comfortably. We especially loved the deck and the huge backyard—it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Parking was also plentiful. We were minutes away from great restaurants and cidery/brewery and distillery. As well as a great walking path (tide was out Sunday at noon was a great view. Highly recommend this spot for groups or anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway!

We've stayed at this Airbnb multiple times, and it consistently offers a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The space is always clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, with a stunning ocean view that never gets old. It's a reliable choice for both short and long stays. Highly recommend!

If you are looking to stay in Mahone Bay, this is a perfect spot! The apartment was beautiful, spotless and had lovely views over the bay. You can walk to restaurants, shops and the hosts Chris/Sandy/Kip were so responsive and helpful with any questions. We had dinner at Betty’s (recommended by hosts) and Rebecca’s and both were terrific (make sure to reserve). The shops offer some really unique things and our favourite was the Lighthouse Market (right beside our apartment) as everything is made in Nova Scotia (shop Canadian 🇨🇦 - ELBOWS UP!). We bought some really neat things to take back home to Ontario. We went hiking on the Dynamite Trail and there are lots of options for hiking. We definitely plan to be back!

D'Arcy and David's home was absolutely 5*, recommend to everyone. The bedrooms are located on the upper floor which could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems, otherwise it was perfect. Spacious and welcoming, we felt right at home. Bright and cheerful, with beautiful views. Has everything and more! Delightful, helpful hosts! An absolute treasure. You won't regret booking here! Would book again for certain!

Absolutely loved our stay, Sara described the property very well. This home is 150 years old, and is a great piece of history. We enjoyed the fact that it doesn’t have too many modern update’s, just the necessities for comfort. Sara was amazing to deal with very prompt response and easy to communicate with. Our next trip to Nova Scotia we will contact Sara to see if this house is available.

The accommodation was as described. It was spacious and very well equipped with comfortable dining, seating and bedroom areas. The location was convenient for accessing the highway , the Eastern Shore and Halifax . Grocery, fuel and restaurants were nearby as were walking trails. I would definitely stay again.

Donna is by far the best host I have ever had the pleasure of staying with, she was so responsive about everything and flexible with our needs, she was like our Halifax mom. Her recommendations were spot on and she could not have been better to us.

This cabin is in a very beautiful part of the world and is right by the lobster pound which made for a great experience. We were not prepared for how rustic the cabin is …. It’s not insulated so it was pretty chilly and we should have had the heaters set up. It was a nice stay and we did enjoy the space (particularly the beautiful hydrangeas) as well as the proximity to the ocean.
