Great host, he suggested us great places to visit around the area and gave great suggestions. The location is very quiet and nice.. We forgot our kindle at the house, he was kind enough to ship it to us as well.. will definitely recommend

Our family enjoyed our stay. It was like sleeping in a treehouse! Ocean views, beautiful sunrises, frogs singing at night, and so many stars. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful with local tips. It was a magical stay!

Great place, extremely close to Volcano National Park

This place was totally awesome! It was so beautiful and peaceful! We slept so well! The house was well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Denise and Brian are the best hosts, making sure we had everything we need. Itineraries were provided so we were never bored. We will definitely be back for a stay in the beautiful rainforest on the Big Island! 🏝️

The cutest place! Safe and friendly environment. Sitting on the porch star gazing while listening to the frogs and crickets is so peaceful. ***Excellent place*** my wife, two teenage daughters and I stayed here five nights while visiting family on the big island. Probably in my top five Airbnb‘s ever. Extremely comfortable beds, cold AC, perfect location, the lanai is amazing. Kitchen has everything you would need. Yes there is noise being on a busy street, which I was concerned about, being a light sleeper. But between a white noise maker app and earplugs, I slept amazingly well. We will be back!!🤙🏼

We loved our stay here! So peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was a perfect end to our days of exploring! Great location for Hawaii's Volcano National Park, Black Sand and Green Sand beaches and sites in Hilo. Would love to stay here again sometime!

Everything was clean and very tidy. It was a nice and secure secluded place with lots of nature, and the coqui weren’t very loud. It seemed like they had just about any amenity that you could need for Hawaii and the host was kind, gracious, and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend for very large/heavy vehicles.

The property is beautiful and it is apparent that the owner wants to share with others what makes this area unique and special. The extensive library provided information about the area at your fingertips while enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or taking a stroll on the grounds. Thank you!

We had an incredible stay in Volcano, Hawaiʻi! The home was cozy, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Volcanoes National Park (which was just minutes away). The host was welcoming, responsive, and provided thoughtful touches throughout the home—everything from local guidebooks to fresh coffee. We especially loved sipping our morning coffee on the lanai while listening to the sounds of nature. If you’re looking for a serene, unique experience close to the park, this is the place. Highly recommend!

We chose this property because of the close proximity to the ocean. There is no beach but you can definitely hear the waves crashing and it was very tropical. Besides the house next door, it is very private. Plenty of kitchen appliances, plateware, and silverware. The neighbors were friendly, including their dog. Overall, we had a great stay would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for peaceful, quiet time on the island.

This is a lovely quiet location close to Hilo and Volcano NP. We loved having the pool and the amenities of a well thought out home.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

We have been to Hawaii 15 times and this was our favorite home to enjoy. Everything from the spacious, beautifully landscaped yard and comfy lanai (even with a fan!) down to the soft cotton sheets and towels was so enjoyable and made us feel so cared for and simply in paradise. I also appreciated the condiments in the fridge, coffee and soy sauce in the cupboard. It was lovely having Michelle across the street and we enjoyed some coconuts from the property. The ocean was a 5 minute walk and was spectacular. We will surely return. Thank you, Michelle! Aloha!

We loved staying here. The property was spectacular -- we really enjoyed walking along the cliffs looking over the ocean, and we spent hours in the pool. The pool was the perfect temperature. The beds were comfortable, the home is spacious, and we enjoyed sitting out on the lanai in the mornings and evenings. The neighborhood was also great for walking/running. We'd love to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you're traveling with kids.

We are very happy with our stay, and sad to leave it. This is a BIG rental (2000sf? 2500sf?) at a very fair price. For our family of 5, this was more than enough space and we probably could have fit another family in here with us. The place is in very good shape, clean, and has the just-right combination of amenities to comfortably enjoy the rainforest climate. That said, don’t book this place if what you want is an air-conditioned condo - there’s no A/C and the charm of this place is leaving every window open, listening to the rain (showers pass through every day, then clear blue skies), and being serenaded to bed by the sounds of the surf (just across the street) and peeping frogs. We also LOVED how quiet it is here (surf and frog sounds, not planes or road noise), but that does come at a cost - expect to drive about 15 miles to just about anything, including pretty heavy traffic once you leave the neighborhood on route 130. For us this was a fine trade and I’d recommend it 100%
