Great Location: Volcano to Hilo

KateRating, 5 starstoday
Kerinne (and Mike!) were lovely hosts. They met us when we arrived to show us around the apartment and had lots of good information on places to eat, grocery shop and see. It was so lovely to go to sleep with the sounds of frogs wake up to hearing her chickens in the yard. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals and the rice cooker was a real plus! I would certainly stay again when visiting as it’s well situated between Hilo and Volcanos National Park.

Gorgeous Ocean View 1 Bedroom apartment

DanielRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Everything was clean and organized in this place. Actually turned out to be more spacious that we thought. While the place is clean, people staying should expect to sweep once a day simply because of the location and if you like to have the windows open as we did. Again, not a complaint or reflection on the host, simply what is needed in the country area! Our stay was perfect. Oksana was always east to get ahold of and always accommodating. Kitchen was great, beds are nice and washer/dryer setup is quite new! We definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Hawaii, experience her beauty and enjoy sleeping quietly outside of "tourist" hustle and bustle. Lastly, the stars are absolutely stunning as well as the moon over the ocean!
A quaint eco-friendly cabin is nestled within a lush tropical landscape, featuring a welcoming wooden deck. Surrounding greenery enhances privacy, while the cabin's design integrates seamlessly with nature. Nearby, a stunning view of volcanic activity and coastal scenery is depicted.

This place is a gem when visiting Volcanoes national park. Totally quite at night and gorgouse by day. About 23 min to the park. Super cute and totally what we love about tiny houses in Hawaii.

Spending time on the lanai drinking a morning coffee or eating a meal while enjoying the landscape is something you don't want to miss. David and Kevin are awesome hosts, anything we needed was either in the guesthouse or they had it to share. Thank you David and Kevin for your hospitality!

I've stayed at Carol's place at least 5 times, and it never disappoints. If you're going to the Big Island, want to get away from the stale resort experience, and are looking for something unique, this is the place for you. Great price and great experience.

Country Guest Home

VictoriaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Awesome stay here! Beautiful wraparound deck with vibrant garden and flowers. Prakasit’s dad greeted us when we arrived and kindly let us know he was in the other house if we needed anything. He also respected our privacy. The studio was great with comfortable beds, a full kitchen with everything you need to cook including spices, and a full bathroom. Amazing value for what you get. A minor concern came up and Prakasit was on top of it right away. Would recommend this place 110%!

Blue Banana Bungalow - Tropical Hawaiian Hideaway

PenelopeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The place was wonderful! Looked exactly as it was in the pictures and was so nicely kept up. The hosts have really put a lot of detail into this location and we loved the binder on the coffee table with so many local things to do and places to go. Everything was provided for us, they even had beach chairs for us to use. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend for anyone looking to stay near Hilo.

We had a wonderful New Years celebration together and we became fast friends! Thank you, Sarah and Bles!! Many good years to you both! Sincerely, Paul, Ana Terese, Gubby, and Keiki kitty :)

Cozy Cottage with Fresh Rainwater Hot Tub *No fees

T. MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We have stayed at many ABnBs from Shenandoah to Big Bend and from Alaska to Everglades and this was the most thoughtfully prepared place we have visited. From the multi type charging port to the heated towel bar, to labeled switches, to supplies likecoffee, tea, borrowable raincoats and beach chairs it is obvious that the host wanted to meet your needs. The place is beautifully surrounded by copious flowers. The stained glass accents are pretty. We did not use the hot tub or grill but they were very nice. Garret was responsive and helpful the bed was comfortable as were the pillows.

House of Bonsai Vacation Rental

AlexRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Carolyn and Mike's Air BnB is absolutely stunning! I think it's even nicer than the photos. I loved opening the window by the bed at the end of the day to let the cool breeze in. The bed is so comfortable, the living area is lovely, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The bathroom felt luxurious and the shower was wonderful. There's plenty of closet space too. Overall, it's very private and serene. There are so many decorative touches throughout the space that make it so charming and cozy. Carolyn and Mike were very friendly, generous, and kind, they felt like Ohana. The complimentary breakfast was lovely! She helped me pick out some of her beautiful handmade jewelry to bring home as gifts. They're very caring and responsive. The location of the rental is right near Volcano National Park and there are several really good restaurants nearby as well. The Farmers Market in the Village was a lot of fun to go to too! I would definitely stay at Carolyn's Air BnB again!

Cozy cabin near Volcano National Park

MarkRating, 5 stars15 months ago
As Brenda says, do not listen to your GPS, follow her instructions and you'll get there just fine (we got lost and she came and got us to follow her to her paradise) She has a great set up and she is the BEST host we've had, very personable and by the time we left we felt like we were best friends. Left my phone there and she came and met me somewhere to bring the phone back to me. She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable at here place. If we come back she will be the place where we will be staying! Thanks Brenda, you are someone special. -Mark and Ruth

Chateau Kilauea @Lazy Acres.

KristaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you are planning on spending time at Volcano National Park - stay here! Lily and Brian were helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Hospitality was top notch. We enjoyed the indoor-outdoor lifestyle so much! Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was set up to cook really anything you could want. We spent the mornings before our hikes in the infrared sauna and outdoor shower. Followed by espresso on the deck. We got sweet hellos any goodbyes from the well-behaved family dogs. Lazy Acres is a truly special place. We cannot wait to return! So much more I could say but just trust you will love this place. Experience it for yourself!!
