Great location

If you want to experience the history of Waxahachie, come enjoy the coziness of this restored 1925 home. Relax on the front porch swing or take an evening stroll in the historical neighborhood. You will feel welcome and comfortable.
The shiplap walls, hardwood floors and original restored wood windows are timeless, the kitchen and baths are beautifully updated and pristine.
You will hear the train since we’re close to downtown which is a 3 min drive or a 15 min walk for festivals or concerts.

The space
This home offers two bedrooms, the first with a queen bed and the second with a full bed. There is a half bath off of the bedroom with the full bed. The full bath is off the main area. The living room is roomy and the kitchen with lots of natural light. The laundry room has a stackable washer dryer you can use and there is a back entrance to the house. All the windows are in working order they have been restored. There is lots of room for parking in driveway.

Guest access
You will use the entire house with your rental confirmation. There is spacious parking for two vehicles in the driveway. The on property driveway is 125 feet in length (from the sidewalk to the front of the carport).
There is a covered carport you’re welcome to use during your stay to protect your vehicle from any weather.
We have a front porch with a lovely porch swing for you to enjoy and lots of room in the backyard for sitting or relaxing. There is keypad access on the front and back doors.

Other things to note
We enjoy living in this beautiful neighborhood. It is quiet and reminiscent of days past. We would like you to know there is a train track about a block away but it just adds to the nostalgia of the hometown feel.
There are typically a variety of local events happening here In Waxahachie on any given weekend either downtown or close by at the civic center. We are conveniently located 3 blocks from Nelson University.
Getzendaner Park is also about 3 min away with shady trees , pavilion, restrooms, and places to sit to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

When my husband and I purchased and started this remodel next door, we loved learning about all the history of this home! We put in long hours of sweat equity and also utilized talented craftsmen to restore and showcase her character! We are so excited for guests to come enjoy and experience the history of this home.
