Calm and convenient location

Guests say this area is peaceful and it’s easy to get around.
My 1898 Victorian has been separated into two units. You have your own entrance to the apt that makes up 1/2 of my 2nd floor and the entire third-floor of my house, located in the heart of Deforest. Walk to restaurants, parks, and other establishments.. I would be happy to share recommendations if that’s something you would like.

The space
I live on the first and part of the second floor of a beautiful old Victorian with my two teenage boys. Your apartment is on part of the second and the entire third floor of the house.

Guest access
You will have the entire third floor of the house and part of the second floor to yourselves. We share all of the outside spaces including the side yard, front yard, backyard and front porch. We spend most of our outside time in the fenced in backyard with our dogs. You are welcome to join us there. Our dogs are friendly, but they will run if they get let out of the yard.

Other things to note
I do have two dogs. They are both friendly, and they don’t always get enough attention so sometimes they bark. Thor is small and he likes to howl with the firetrucks. Diesel is big and can look scary but he is the sweetest dog. Even so, it’s always best to proceed with caution because dogs can be unpredictable. They are very curious, and so whenever there is an opportunity, they can get out.

Also, I do allow up to three pets, and I do my best to thoroughly clean in between guests. That being said, if you have pet allergies, keep in mind that dogs and cats may have been in the apartment before you. The pet fee is $75 for the first pet and $50 each for the second two, due at booking.

Neighborhood highlights

I love Deforest! It is close to Madison, the interstate, and the two towns/villages on either side.. within walking distance there are great restaurants, bars, a bowling alley, a coffee shop, a bakery, a spa, the library, a bank, a walking trail, tennis courts and a park with paddle ball, basketball, a sprinkler park, a playground, and a band shell.

The dragon art fair is the first weekend in June, which is across the street from my house. The farmers market is every Tuesday through the summer, and there is usually a weekly concert at the band Shell. The Fourth of July it is huge here and the parade goes right past my house The fireworks can be seen (and heard) from my back yard, and so can the music.
