Welcome to Sand Castles Cottages, Cottage 9. (See all nine at www.airbnb.com/p/scc) We are close to two public beaches and located between St. Joseph & South Haven, MI. Our property is unique in that we have 9 vacation rental cottages on one acre. Built between the 1930s-50s, it is one of the last properties of this type along Lake Michigan in this area. We have tried to keep the old charm while adding modern amenities. This listing is for cottage 9 and it is SMOKE and PET free.

The space
Cottage 9 is a two bedroom unit that is part of a duplex which is back to back with cottage 8.
This cottage sleeps up to 5 with a queen bed in the master, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a twin rollaway or the futon couch. All linens are provided.
The kitchen is small but fully stocked with all the items you would need to cook. There is a full size fridge, Keurig with pods, blender, toaster, microwave, full size gas range, dishes, and pots and pans.
The private bathroom has a shower.
There is a dining table for four. This unit has a screened in porch with an outdoor dining set and seating. Along the side of the cottage there is a gas grill and communal fire pit with firewood provided and outdoor games available (like cornhole, volleyball, croquet, ring toss, bocce ball)..
The unit has a smart tv with Roku and wifi and in guest mode you can stream from your own accounts.
The space is small but comfortable and efficient…the perfect place to relax after a busy day in SW MI.

Guest access
Two public beaches on Lake Michigan are located one mile north and south of Sand Castles Cottages. Hagar Beach Park to the south has a large park with playground and picnic area. We are located on the lakeshore road m63, right between St. Joseph and South Haven, MI.

Other things to note
Our cottages can be rented all at once to provide a nice stay for groups!
No tents please.
We are firm on no pets.
Pack n play available upon request.
No marijuana smoking allowed on our property.
We have bikes to borrow, use at your own risk.

Sand Castles Cottages is truly a family run business! We purchased the cottages 12 years ago and our family has grown up around them. Traveling with our homeschooled kids has been part of our life and we split time between Michigan and Florida. The beach is one of our favorite places to be!
