Renovated Tidal View cottage. Tranquil views of the salt marsh from back deck. Attention to detail throughout the new kitchen, bath, A/C and heat, adorable furnishings & décor, cathedral living room ceiling. Large deck, comfortable seating, gas grill & new hot/cold shower. Steps to private beach.

The space
Marshfront cottage offering beautiful views of the ebb and flow of Scorton Creek and the tidal salt marshes! Cottage offers 2 bedrooms (queen in one and bunk beds in the other) and a sleeping loft with a full. Beautifully updated by new Owners in 2015. Renovated with attention to detail throughout the new Kitchen, Bath, flooring, light fixtures and adorable furnishings and decor. 2 new Flat Screen TV's - One in Living room and 2nd in front bedroom. Slider in Bunk Bedroom leads to a new private deck with 200 sq ft of additional living space...comfortable seating, gas grill and new hot and cold outdoor shower. New A/C & heater

Perfect location - we are across the street, just over the dune from Cape Cod Bay and East Sandwich beach.

Perfect for Kayakers...launch right off our deck at high tide into Scorton Creek! Ductless wall AC unit cools the cottage when the ocean breezes just aren't enough.

Suitability: Minimum Age Limit for Renters, children welcome, non smoking only, pets not allowed.

Easily accessible to East Sandwich Beach, Scorton's Creek, route 6A & rt 6, Sandwich Village and Barnstable.

Other things to note
Linens: Please bring your own sheets, queen size for the front bedroom, 2 twins for the back bedroom, and full for the loft. We do provide pillows and all beds have comforters. Beach Chairs also provided. Remember to bring your own toiletries - including toilet paper, tissues, soaps, shampoos etc. You can also rent towels and sheets from Essential Rentals here on the Cape. They will drop off and pick up for no charge.

COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR DEEP TURNOVER CLEAN
We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our guests stay safe before you check in by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) Laundering pillow covers, mattress pads & comforters on each turnover.

Neighborhood highlights

The cottage is across the street from East Sandwich Beach. The beach is a very quiet, private stretch of one of Cape Cod's best beaches. You must make time to check out the huge sandbars at low tide.

Beach access is across the street from our cottage. Turn right onto street. About 200 steps you will see a driveway (this is public access) on your left. When you look down the driveway you will see a flag pole. That will let you know you are in the right driveway.

Sandwich is the oldest town on the Cape. If you have time you should visit downtown Sandwich. It’s a 10-minute drive from the cottage right off of 6A. If you go, stop at the Sandwich Glass Museum. It houses original pieces created during the 1800's and provides demonstrations of glass blowing technique. Also downtown is oldest house on the Cape, the Hoxie House. The other place you might enjoy downtown is Heritage Museums & Gardens (it’s a favorite when we have people visit) Lovely gardens, a very cool antique car museum.

If you want to Kayak you can call Rideaway kayak. You can launch from the back of our cottage at high tide. They will deliver & pick up to the cottage. They have both singles and doubles. They also provide the lifejackets. 508-247-0827

Bike Rentals – Cape Cod Bike Rental, 40 Route 6A Sandwich MA 508-888-8030. There is a great bike route at the Cape Cod Canal.

My husband first started coming to this area of Cape Cod in 1962. His family will be spending their 53rd year this summer in August, with well over 25 friends and family coming to enjoy hanging out at the beach. We now have our 5th generation of family continuing on with the tradition. I fell in love the first time I came here with my husband and his family. We got married on the beach right across the street from our cottage. We purchased this cottage and renovated it last year keeping in mind the 53 years of tradition and thinking about future generations spending time on the Cape. It's great place for a family vacation. Get ready to start your own family tradition in our beautifully renovate cottage!
