Where I went to school: University
Traveling and swimming have always been my passions. I moved to Florida from New York a few years ago because I loved the climate and proximity to nature. I consider myself a very private individual but traveling to new places and meeting new people brings out the best in me. I enjoy boating, swimming and collecting shells and driftwood. This year, I started creating “art” using driftwood found around Ormond Beach. Interior designing and restoring furniture are some of my other passions. I like to recycle, paint, stamp and reuse furniture and create comfortable and pet friendly spaces. There are a few pieces of my furniture scattered around the house. My traveling started early. Vacations were always important to my family. We spent 2 months a year in my grandmother’s house for summer vacations. Her house was located in a lake region in Poland. It took us about an hour each way by bike to get to a secluded lake in the middle of forest. We went there every single day. These were some of the best times of my life. They taught me to appreciate the beauty of nature and realize that, without it, our lives would be much duller and boring. I remember pausing to hear rain drops hitting the treetops and thunder in the distance. I remember the crisp water around me, the smell of the lake and being in my own vast "underwater" world for most of my childhood. Gardening is another passion of mine. Planting shrubs, creating focal points using planters, flowers, pots and mulch or gravel is very rewarding to me. I enjoy watching bees, butterflies and other critters take advantage of these areas. These moments become my own little time for meditation and rest. I hope that my vacation home will be that source of relaxation, joy and escape from the “every-day.” I hope that you will enjoy fishing from the deck at the property (I fish using corn as bait). I hope that you’ll kayak and uncover super places full of exotic birds, dolphins and manatees. So far, we have only seen a couple of manatees very close to the house but this was an unforgettable experience. I was able to collect a multitude of shells which are now displayed throughout the house. Leave your worries behind, relax and enjoy all that this tropical retreat has to offer. Thank you!
