Peaceful, clean, and well-located

Guests consistently describe the cottage as peaceful, clean, and a great base for the national park
Our cottage at Bath Hollow Farm is nestled into the woods, right next to the Cuyahoga Valley, but also conveniently located to all the Akron and Cleveland area attractions and amenities. It's the perfect home base for exploring CVNP, relaxing in nature, or seeing a show at Blossom.

We love sharing our little farm retreat and hope you find it as peaceful and rejuvenating as we do!

The space
We've tried our best to set up the cottage for maximum relaxation, with an emphasis on enjoying the surrounding nature. Both floors have large windows, for plenty of sunlight and awesome views of the farm and woods.

You'll have two living room spaces to kick back in. The larger one on the first floor has plenty of comfy chairs for hanging out or reading. It has a desk for any work you need to get done, and a new queen sized pull out sofa. Also on the first floor you'll find a full bath with a bath tub, and laundry.

Upstairs you'll find the second living room with a smart TV where you can watch any streaming services you have, connected to the full kitchen and dining area. There's one bedroom upstairs with a queen bed, and another full bathroom with a walk in shower.

We're super close to so many of the best things to see and do in the area. Here's a list of some of our favorites:

- CVNP - the closest trailhead is the Hampton Hills hiking trails, just 2 minutes away!
- Towpath trail access, 3 minutes away (the towpath trail is 101 miles long from Cleveland to Zoar, south of Canton).
- Mountain Biking at Hampton Hills, 3 minutes
- Blossom Music Center, 5 minutes
- Szalay's Farm, 7 minutes (popular farm market for food and live music - seasonal)
- Downtown Cuyahoga Falls, 12 minutes (lots of fun dining, shops, and views of the Cuyahoga River Gorge)
- Peninsula, 12 minutes (a cute town in the middle of CVNP with dining, coffee, and shops)
- Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, 9 minutes
- Downtown Akron, 15 min
- Downtown Cleveland, 30 min

We have a large barn next to the cottage that we rent for events and weddings, but don't worry - there won't be a wedding during your stay! We only rent the cottage here on airbnb on days when we don't have other events!

Guest access
You'll have access to the whole cottage, the picnic table on the patio, the balcony deck, and the immediate yard. You're also welcome to wander the grounds where you'll find short walking trails and hammocks to relax in!

There's a firepit nearby the cottage that you're welcome to use, and we usually have some self-serve firewood available for purchase.

You will not have access to the barn or other out-buildings on the property - we kindly ask you to refrain from entering any of the other buildings. Thank you!

Other things to note
We're Melissa & Brett, and we live just next door (a quick walk through the woods), so we're usually available to help if you have any needs during your stay! Just send us a message through the Airbnb app if you need anything.

We also love hiking, biking, paddling, and cross country skiing in our local parks, and love to share recommendations!!

Occasionally we will be at the barn (next to the cottage) to give tours to prospective wedding couples, or to do landscaping or maintenance work, but we'll always do our best to stay out of your way!

We sometimes have small yoga or meditation classes in the lawn or the barn - if one of these happens to coincide with your stay we'll let you know so you can join us if you'd like!

The cottage is set up for a maximum of 4 guests, so please no larger groups or parties!

You will not have access to the barn or other outbuildings during your stay. If you're looking for a place for a larger gathering, let us know and we can chat about the barn rental!

The cottage is at the end of a 1/4 mile long gravel drive which may be snow-covered in winter - we do our best to keep it plowed!

Neighborhood highlights

Bath Hollow is located within 10 - 15 minutes of so many of the best things to see and do in our area, and plenty of dining and grocery options, but it's also secluded in the woods on a large private property. The best of both worlds!
