Perfect cabin for a trip to Iceland! It was small but that's what we were expecting from the description, and the space was enough for our needs. The host was very quick to respond anytime we had a question. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this home away from home! It had everything we needed. The hot tub was so nice after a long day of hiking and the laundry machines were a blessing. Favorite spot we visited was the Gjain - a hidden oasis that required a bit of F road adventures. If we ever visit again, we will try to reserve this place. It was wonderful!

This is a great location, on the circle and also close to a lot of different options of towns to explore. The sauna and hot tub (no jets) were a great addition and in good condition. The shower was outside in the sauna room, which I may have missed, but worked out well. The couch bed in the living room was the most comfortable one I’ve ever had the kids use. They slept well! It was well stocked, lots of windows, and a perfect place to spend the nights. There were lots of outlets for charging. I didn’t even really need to have brought an adapter. Close the door at night, we were told to, and learned that the midges are no joke!

We had a wonderful cosy stay here and found the accommodation very comfortable. We were traveling as a family, 2 adults and 2 kids (3 & 6) The kids absolutely loved the outdoor space and the many games to play with and enjoyed spotting and hearing the ptarmigans and other birds that came to visit the garden. The hot tub is a very relaxing place to enjoy the amazing views all around. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora on 2 nights which was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this beautiful accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing time with incredible views yet not too far from towns and other sightseeing opportunities. We hope to be back one day.

Our family of 6 had an absolutely fantastic stay here. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved that there was a great walking path just up the hill behind us and the town was an easy walk or short drive. There's a Bonus grocery store close by and great restaurants (try the flights of beer at Olverk!). It was a great base for exploring the sights on the Golden Circle. We loved trying out the sauna, hot tub and cold plunge while watching the birds. It really could not have been more perfect. Thank you so much for hosting us.

if you are looking to unwind, relax, take in beautiful views and take advantage of your natural surroundings this home is perfect. my wife and I loved spending the first couple days of our vacation here and hope to return to Akranes one day and will look to stay here again. thank you Odd and Frida!!

We had a wonderful stay here! The view is so beautiful - we loved walking along the beach and taking in the views. Watching the seal in the water, the birds and all of the little sea creatures at low tide was a treat. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and was well-stocked. The beds were comfortable as well. We loved relaxing in the hot pot in the evenings while enjoying the view and listening to the birds! The area is amazingly beautiful. We loved to drive around the fjord - and even spotted a whale 2 different times! The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with. They were very responsive and helpful with the couple of questions that we had. I highly recommend staying here!

A cozy stay, great if you are looking to get away from the city. It's a bit far from any convenient stores so pack up before you arrive. Overall, a great cabin.

Very peaceful and homely cabin in beautiful surroundings. Svanna is very helpful and the cabin is well kept and cosy. Rural location - we were lucky enough to catch the northern lights 4 nights in a row! Would happily stay again, thank you ☺️

Good tiny home that we used as a base camp to go exploring Iceland from during our week there. Fits the description and photos. We saw wonderful northern lights right above the house !

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

A wonderful week staying in the cottage and toured through the Golden Circle. 3x the northern lights seen due to little light pollution nearby! I'm glad there was underfloor heating to keep the cottage at temperature.

The scenery was amazing. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch, though admittedly a bit chilly in early October. The cabin was very cute, well laid out, clean, and with many small touches that made it wonderful. Only downside was that the hot water does have a strong sulfur smell and the kitchen sink is shallow resulting in water often spraying out of the sink due to the high water pressure. Aside from those two minor issues that place was perfect solitude. One other item to mention is that the nearby waterfall trail was very worthwhile. You park in the nearby small neighborhood and walk up an ATV trail. It was amazing to be the only people around the waterfall and to be able to hike further up the mountains.

One of our memorable accommodation is this one with its very lovely cabin inside and out. It’s so cozy we dont want to leave! Everything we need is right there and it’s spotless. We learned of the story of the cabin and it became a more special stay. Thank you for allowing us to arrive early and all the suggestions we can do around the area. It was easy communicating with you and we had a fantastic stay!

Maria's cabin is out of the way on a small lake. The scenery is beautiful. The cabin had all the necessities and comfortable beds. One bedroom was on the small side, but the main bedroom was large. The only issue was a difference in how America and Icelandic people make their number 1's. I thought the Wi-Fi code had a 7 in it but it was a 1. After I figured that out, the Wi-Fi worked great. :-)

Stunning location, so peaceful, had everything you needed, very responsive host. Great location for the National Park and snorkelling at Silfra, just 20 minutes drive. Stunning sunset our first night and incredibly comfortable bed. Highly recommend the cottage and host

Nice cottage in a quiet environment, just off Reykjavik, managed by dedicated hosts.

We had a very great stay in Hafsteinns house and enjoyed the house and the surroundings very much. The house was well equipped with everything you need. We had a problem with the pool (the water pipe was frozen), but Hafsteinn reacted very quickly and send a plumber the next day to fix it. On the negative side, there is a bit of a lack of storage space for personal belongings and actually only one bedroom is an actually separated room, the other two "rooms" are open to the living area.

Lovely stay, horses were beautiful and right outside the accommodation, sunsets were amazing, quiet, peaceful surroundings, slept very well after busy days of exploring the South Coast.

Hans and Elsa were really good hosts and provided all the information we could have needed, answering questions and providing information speedily and accurately. The accommodation was perfect for my wife, daughter and me, and was in a wonderful peaceful setting about 15 minutes from Reykjavik. Everything that was needed was available, with the exception of WiFi, but Hans did explain beforehand that they were trying to set this up but it was currently a 'Bit of and experiment' - but we did have good data coverage in the area through our own mobile providers. The television in the accommodation didn't work either and no programmes were available, but that was relief, as we did spend long days you exploring all the south and western areas of Iceland. We would certainly use this accommodation again if coming back to Iceland and wanting to stay in the same area, and would happily recommend it to other who want a quite base from which to explore this part of Iceland.

The owner was very friendly and made sure we had a baby crib on location. We were only there overnight, so we didn't have much time to explore. The beach was nearby, but not in view. Seems newly renovated. Was a nice place for our overnight stay.

The description corresponds with the advertisement. Kristin sent very detailed instructions how to get to her house! Very much appreciated. The house is located in a very quiet and beautiful environment.

Although a little tricky to find at first (google maps sent us completely wrong) but if you look for the golf course, you can't go wrong. The place itself was fantastic, with stunning views and in a great location on the golden circle with all the main sites being within an easy drive, a nice restaurant a few minutes down the road and Selfoss easily accessible with more restaurants.
