Places to stay in Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Brilliant location in the middle of the golden circle for seeing and doing everything, Can be tricky to find first time with certain navigation apps, I would suggest a what3words location or a shared google pin, Good amenities and facilities in the cabinet, The hot tub was great to sit out and see the northern lights, Took us awhile to fill up and get the correct temperature but once sorted you get amazing views of the sky The two single beds pushed together were very comfortable, A second pillow would have been a nice touch But overall really good place, Lovely cabin, Good amenities and amazing location:)

A beautiful location that felt out of the way but was not far off the road. Great suggestions for local attractions and we changed our morning plans and drove the short drive to Gluggafoss waterfall which ended up being one of our favorite sights of the trip! Saw the northern lights beneath the cloudy skies which was a nice surprise given the weather as well.

Margretarhof house was a peaceful place to stay. The weather was a bit harsh during our stay, so we could not fully enjoy the hot tub in the house, but I am sure that the house can provide more in nicer weather. Very quiet and private, so recommendation goes to people who are seeking for that. The only inconvenience at first was that the shower didn’t drain well, but the host sent out someone to take care of it on the next day after we noticed them. Overall, we had a great time.

Luckily saw the aurora, the house was cozy and the yard was huge.It was clean and at home.

As a person living in the city, staying here is absolutely a new and great experience for me. Quiet and calm. We even saw northern light for the first time of our lives right outside the Terence. Hosts are super nice and horses are super cute. What a great experience for us.

Very nice little cottage. The place is quiet. Perfect for the little stop we needed before returning to the city.

Stina's cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It was a great base for exploring the south coast of Iceland. Sveinn communicated well and was very accommodating. It was warm and cozy in winter, and we were able to see the auroras on our last night.

I really like Lilja place. It has everything you needed and super clean. Especially all the romantic decor and candle.

We really enjoyed our stay here for our trip it was 1 of the 4 we stayed In and definitely my favorite! The chair in the living room was so nice and the view out of the windows was so relaxing! We even got a beautiful two hour show of the lights on our last night there! Close to town but feels secluded! Would 100% stay again.
