Cottage vacation rentals in Grindavik

Perfect cabin for a trip to Iceland! It was small but that's what we were expecting from the description, and the space was enough for our needs. The host was very quick to respond anytime we had a question. Would definitely recommend!

Wir haben uns auf Anhieb in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Umgebung ist ruhig. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kleinkinder. An Platz mangelt es nicht und auch für die Kinder ist alles sicher und gemütlich. Die Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns alles bereit gestellt was man zur Versorgung braucht, auch der Check-In verlief einwandfrei. Katrinn hat uns genau über die Lage und den Ablauf informiert, trotz nächlicher Ankunft war sie und Asta gut erreichbar. Wir sind Katrinn unglaublich dankbar und würden die Unterkunft, wie auch sie als Gastgeberin immer wieder weiter empfehlen!

What a fantastic place! We were a family of five and loved staying here. The scenery and bird song is beautiful. The house is extremely well equipped for everything you could need. We would love to come back!

Our family voted this the best of all that we stayed at in Iceland. Beautiful place. Much bigger than any other location we stayed. Most receptive host! We will stay here again.

We had a magical time at Sabrina’s cabin! Sabrina was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed as well as close to many sights. We saw the northern lights from the cabin our first night! Unforgettable :) Book it!!!

Had a fantastic stay at Gunnar's cottage. Everything we needed was at hand in the cottage. It was warm and cozy and and perfect for relaxing in the evening. We used the hot tub a couple of times and it was great. Managed to see the northern lights during our stay and it's a perfect location for seeing them and travelling around the Golden circle. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing place to stay!! The cabin was perfect for 4 people! Cozy, but we still had plenty of space! The cabin was easy to find with helpful directions from the host, with stunning views of the lake from the deck and dining table. The location was perfect for what we wanted to see in the Selfoss area, and the property was quiet and very peaceful. The icing on the cake for our whole Iceland trip was being able to relax in the hot tub and admire the northern lights above!!!! Thankful to the host provided amenities, like the camera tripod which was awesome to use for northern lights photos. Highly recommend this cabin, and would definitely book again!!

My husband and I wanted to get away from the city and out in the country. This was the perfect place for us. The scenery around the cabin is breathtaking. We enjoyed the hottub and we're also able to view the Northern Lights on a few nights. The amenities inside were perfect and just what we needed. I was a little apprehensive about the shower being outside in a separate building, at first, but the water was hot and the pressure was excellent. Our stay was perfect and the communication with Vidar was top notch. Such a beautiful place.

Good tiny home that we used as a base camp to go exploring Iceland from during our week there. Fits the description and photos. We saw wonderful northern lights right above the house !

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Gudny was an amazing, generous, and kind host. We felt immediately right at home and the home is well stocked with everything you could need as you adventure around Iceland. The location was excellent for our needs and it was quiet with beautiful views. The home was exactly as expected and the hot tub and outdoor shower were excellent! We would 100% stay again and highly recommend staying!!

Een heerlijke week overnacht in het huisje en getourt door de Golden Circle. 3x het noorderlicht gezien door weinig lichtvervuiling in de buurt! Fijn dat er vloerverwarming aanwezig was om het huisje op temperatuur te houden.

The scenery was amazing. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch, though admittedly a bit chilly in early October. The cabin was very cute, well laid out, clean, and with many small touches that made it wonderful. Only downside was that the hot water does have a strong sulfur smell and the kitchen sink is shallow resulting in water often spraying out of the sink due to the high water pressure. Aside from those two minor issues that place was perfect solitude. One other item to mention is that the nearby waterfall trail was very worthwhile. You park in the nearby small neighborhood and walk up an ATV trail. It was amazing to be the only people around the waterfall and to be able to hike further up the mountains.

One of our memorable accommodation is this one with its very lovely cabin inside and out. It’s so cozy we dont want to leave! Everything we need is right there and it’s spotless. We learned of the story of the cabin and it became a more special stay. Thank you for allowing us to arrive early and all the suggestions we can do around the area. It was easy communicating with you and we had a fantastic stay!

Maria's cabin is out of the way on a small lake. The scenery is beautiful. The cabin had all the necessities and comfortable beds. One bedroom was on the small side, but the main bedroom was large. The only issue was a difference in how America and Icelandic people make their number 1's. I thought the Wi-Fi code had a 7 in it but it was a 1. After I figured that out, the Wi-Fi worked great. :-)

We stayed with our two adult children for hunting some northern lights. The accommodation was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. A true recommendation if you look for a private, clean, quiet and modern stay with stunning views. Ragnar was always available and a helpful host.

Très bon logement et très bien placé pour voir des aurores boréales que nous avons pu voir deux jours de suite ! Très bien chauffé et pièce de vie très agréable . Cuisine bien équipée. Endroit facilement accessible . Bois de cheminée fournit . Eau minérale fraîche fournit . C’est un excellent logement . Petit bémol , l’une des chambres est vraiment petite pour un couple adulte.

We had a very great stay in Hafsteinns house and enjoyed the house and the surroundings very much. The house was well equipped with everything you need. We had a problem with the pool (the water pipe was frozen), but Hafsteinn reacted very quickly and send a plumber the next day to fix it. On the negative side, there is a bit of a lack of storage space for personal belongings and actually only one bedroom is an actually separated room, the other two "rooms" are open to the living area.

Die Unterkunft ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um verschiedene Orte des Golden Circles zu besuchen. Bei Schlechtwetter lässt es sich ebenfalls prima im gemütlichen Haus verweilen. Die Waschmaschine war für uns ein grosses Plus.

A beautiful place to stay, stunning views, clean accommodation with everything needed for a comfortable stay and a friendly, accommodating host. We would definitely go back ☺️

Un séjour chez Rainer qui nous laisse un merveilleux souvenir. Très bonne communication, maison au calme dans un espace sécurisé, bien située. Maison très bien équipée et très propre. On s'y sent comme chez soi. Seul regret: ne pas avoir pu rester plus longtemps. Sans aucune hésitation, une adresse à retenir.

We had a wonderful stay at Margrets place. Good location for the golden circle and walking distance from ‘the Red House’ restaurant - we ate the best lamb we have ever had there! The cottage is located behind the sea surrounded by lovely gardens. The cottage is so cute, we are so pleased we got the chance to stay in a typical Icelandic home. The bathroom is downstairs, the stairs are steep but no problem for me or my mum at all. The bath is the best especially after a long day sightseeing. We would stay here again for sure :)

Dieses Häuschen ist nicht nur ein Ferienhaus, sondern ein Zuhause. Und das merkt man, sobald man eingetreten ist! Die Küche ist super ausgestattet; sie bot uns alles, was wir benötigten. Die große Badewanne war zum Aufwärmen an kalten Tagen perfekt, ebenso wie die gut funktionierende Heizung. Das Sofa bildet den heimlichen Mittelpunkt des Hauses, von dem aus wir gerne den Sonnenuntergang beobachteten. Das Schönste für mich war, dass man aus jedem (!) Fenster das Meer sehen konnte. Trotz der Nähe zum Flughafen bekommt man erstaunlicherweise nichts vom Fluglärm mit. Der Kontakt mit Charlotte war unkompliziert und herzlich. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, vielen Dank dafür!

Hildur's cottage was so lovely! I stayed one night at the cottage and wished I stayed longer. From the moment I entered the cottage, I was in awe at how cute and cozy it was. The cottage is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities that you will need. Highly recommend booking this cottage, you won't regret it.
