Castle vacation rentals in Elbe

The castle is a dream! Our stay was cut short due to no fault of Ludmila or her family, but they were extremely helpful and accommodating to us. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home!

An idyll where every detail is right. Be it the lovingly curated bouquets of Jurate, the breakfast egg in individual hardness or the morning sun rising above the Elbe that falls into the room. Beautiful place where the whole team has breathed new life. To think, come down, hike. We will be happy to come back.

It was beautiful there! Idyllic village and incredibly quiet! Very nice hosts and very accommodating! Castle apartment even bigger than expected :) you had your peace but also never felt left alone. Would do it again and recommend it ☺️

The property has interesting architecture. I felt right at home I was provided with a room with 3 beds, and the room would have offered plenty of space even for 3 guests. Accordingly, the space felt generous in my situation. The place has a kitchen, which I think is useful, even though I didn't use it during my stay. Located in a village that seems rather remote to me, although my perception can of course be deceiving. I liked the area. In my opinion, the only problem is the very adventurous turnoff from the main road. I had to drive backwards every time because I could never turn so sharply to the right in one go. For me, it was more exciting in a positive sense, but it should at least be mentioned. I keep this place in mind for a trip with friends, because I think it's very good for groups. Clear recommendation.

Viktoria offers a great accommodation in a castle, everything was exactly as described and she was truly helpful and communicative! We really enjoyed the weekend in such a beautiful, cozy and relaxing place. Definitely recommend it!

Daniela is the groundskeeper for Franz and she is a wonderful host. It's a beautiful house/castle with lots of room. the master bedroom is upstairs with a bathroom across the hallway. there are two rooms downstairs with a bathroom in between. Internet is sufficient for one person to do zoom video calls. WiFi signal in the bedrooms downstairs are a bit weak. But then whose working when you have such beautiful backyard (acres) to explore. Daniela and her daughter gave us the best tour of the castle. highly recommend this experience.

A very cool experience! The rooms were impeccable, shower and toilet were also completely sufficient. Frank is a great host and tells many great stories about the house! The nights were super quiet apart from some creaking floorboards, which makes sleeping buildings built in 1666 all the more authentic! We enjoyed the tranquility and nature in the courtyard very much and the dogs were in paradise. Lots to explore, both for people and four-legged friends! All in all: Again and again!

We were warmly welcomed and got many useful tips for the area. Despite the language barrier, our children played great with Vlad and Helena's children, the garden was superbly equipped. The beds could use a new mattress, the bed in the children's room was quite old, everything else was functionally furnished. Thank you for a great ten days in the beautiful surroundings.

A unique, charming place with lovely and very hospitable people. The neighborhood is perfect for both blissful rest and active sightseeing. I highly recommend staying in this atmospheric manor house, we will definitely be back :)

The apartment is very nice, well maintained and spacious. The equipment of the apartment leaves nothing to be desired. The light-filled rooms invite you to linger. On the terrace you can enjoy the fantastic evening moods. The location of the apartment is perfect. On the one hand, it is nestled in beautiful nature in an absolutely quiet location, on the other hand you are very quickly on the Elbe and in the old town of Dresden. Unfortunately, I was unable to really enjoy the place due to poor health. Still a very nice place!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the castle. The unit was very spacious and full of charm—you could even climb the tower. The location could not have been better with a bakery, Italian restaurant and market just steps away.

I highly recommend the sauna. It’s more than just another electric sauna in a room. The relaxation area is the key. Everything was thought about. Robe, sauna hat, even a cold water bucket mounted in the shower ceiling. The only minor thing I would like to mention is that in this room, it’s not a real queen bed, it’s two single beds putting together and there is a gap between the two beds. If you really need a seamless queen bed, probably need one of their other rooms.

We spent a very varied week in the Zarchlin area and had a direct and stimulating exchange with Marianne and Daniel in addition to the beautiful accommodation, which were available for all our questions. The small kiosk in the house and the large vegetable bed have made self-catering easier and enriched us as bicycle tourists. The description of the estate, renovated with care and passion, matches the reality we encountered.

I was at the Viecheln mansion with my dog over New Year's Eve, as my dog is afraid of fireworks and firecrackers. Our room in the basement of the house was very well shielded and also quiet on New Year's Eve. I spent a lot of time in the cozy library and also used the relaxing sauna. In the shared kitchen, there was everything you needed. We will be happy to come back.

A perfect stay! The place was simply sumptuous, even more beautiful than the pictures. Everything was spotless, impeccably clean and with great attention to detail. Florian was very nice and always easy to reach, even though he was on vacation. The apartment is authentic and the garden was perfect for us with children. The highlands and the long hallway were also a hit with the little ones - ideal for playing.

Thank you! A wonderful, upscale ambiance. The quiet location is also great, you can walk right on the Franconian Saale virtually at your doorstep. The center of Bad Kissingen is also very close.

We were guests at the Herrenhaus Viecheln for the second time because we simply liked it very much there and we wanted to experience the house during the Christmas season. The Christmas concert provided a nice occasion. The manor house is a harmonious total work of art to touch and we enjoyed every minute. Thanks for the great breakfast 😊
