The castle is a dream! Our stay was cut short due to no fault of Ludmila or her family, but they were extremely helpful and accommodating to us. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home!

Daniela is the groundskeeper for Franz and she is a wonderful host. It's a beautiful house/castle with lots of room. the master bedroom is upstairs with a bathroom across the hallway. there are two rooms downstairs with a bathroom in between. Internet is sufficient for one person to do zoom video calls. WiFi signal in the bedrooms downstairs are a bit weak. But then whose working when you have such beautiful backyard (acres) to explore. Daniela and her daughter gave us the best tour of the castle. highly recommend this experience.

What a place!! Wonderful apartment steeped in history. Super clean comfy and well equipped. Arnoud was so friendly and helpful. Nice pool and bar snacks etc too. So pleased to find this place.

We had a great stay. Relatively easy to get to train stations and shopping. Quiet place and good rooms. Clean and everything you need immediately.

A very cool experience! The rooms were impeccable, shower and toilet were also completely sufficient. Frank is a great host and tells many great stories about the house! The nights were super quiet apart from some creaking floorboards, which makes sleeping buildings built in 1666 all the more authentic! We enjoyed the tranquility and nature in the courtyard very much and the dogs were in paradise. Lots to explore, both for people and four-legged friends! All in all: Again and again!

The apartment is very nice, well maintained and spacious. The equipment of the apartment leaves nothing to be desired. The light-filled rooms invite you to linger. On the terrace you can enjoy the fantastic evening moods. The location of the apartment is perfect. On the one hand, it is nestled in beautiful nature in an absolutely quiet location, on the other hand you are very quickly on the Elbe and in the old town of Dresden. Highly recommended for a small (or large) getaway to relax. There is delicious wine that you can buy via a trust fund. Very neat and clean shared kitchen, also the bathrooms very pleasant. We'll be back!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the castle. The unit was very spacious and full of charm—you could even climb the tower. The location could not have been better with a bakery, Italian restaurant and market just steps away.

Enjoyed our stay, unfortunately there is very little to do around the immediate area, but that is our fault for not researching. The castle is spectacular, totally renovated with taste and care, antiques everywhere.

I highly recommend the sauna. It’s more than just another electric sauna in a room. The relaxation area is the key. Everything was thought about. Robe, sauna hat, even a cold water bucket mounted in the shower ceiling. The only minor thing I would like to mention is that in this room, it’s not a real queen bed, it’s two single beds putting together and there is a gap between the two beds. If you really need a seamless queen bed, probably need one of their other rooms.

We spent a very varied week in the Zarchlin area and had a direct and stimulating exchange with Marianne and Daniel in addition to the beautiful accommodation, which were available for all our questions. The small kiosk in the house and the large vegetable bed have made self-catering easier and enriched us as bicycle tourists. The description of the estate, renovated with care and passion, matches the reality we encountered.

I was in the Viecheln mansion with my dog over New Year's Eve, as my dog is afraid of fireworks and firecrackers. Our room in the basement of the house was very well screened and also quiet on New Year's Eve. I spent a lot of time in the cozy library and also used the relaxing sauna. In the communal kitchen was everything you need. We will be happy to come back.

Really pleasant experience - we only stayed for one night but wished it could’ve been longer! It was well equipped, very spacious, and had a nice garden area with a view. Would absolutely recommend.

It was a really great family stay! A great adventure in Weitersroda Castle, with easy-to-use fireplaces for self-heating, a super nice host and everything for a memorable experience! Thanks to Florian for everything and we will be happy to come back to this colorful, cozy and exciting castle!

Super nice house, very lovingly prepared and is perfect to really slow down.

The description fits perfectly, check-in was straightforward. We had the Count's Room without an en-suite bathroom. The beautiful modern bathroom is one staircase higher. There is a parking space right by the house. On foot you can walk directly along the Saale into the city, very nice!

The second time we were guests at the Viecheln mansion because we just like it there very much and we wanted to experience the house at Christmas time. The Christmas concert was a great occasion. The mansion is a harmonious work of art to touch and we enjoyed every minute. Thanks for the great breakfast 😊
