“I had a wonderful stay here! So clean and felt right at home here. Communication was very easy and have clear instructions on how to get to the property as well as messaging me to make sure my stay was going well. Lots of personal touches which was very welcoming, a whole binder of things they recommend to do in the area which was helpful and great restaurant suggestions. Nice and quite, yet not too far from things. Would highly recommend staying here!”
A unique Alaskan B&B. This cozy yurt stay includes homemade breakfast, wood heat, electricity, and clean, private outhouse. Yurt guests are welcome to use the private full bathroom with shower in the adjacent house. Private deck ideal for aurora viewing. Expert dog musher/host Eleanor offers sled dog tours or mushing school on site.
“Initially, we thought the “just short of magic yurt” name was cheesy but one night only here solidified the absolute accuracy in name choice for this special place. We tacked on a dog sled ride before check in and loved reading Eleanor’s story and spending time with her sweet pups. The yurt was one of the top highlights of our Alaskan adventure... and we especially appreciated the simple advice of “don’t forget to look up”.... while the northern lights weren’t Eleanor or the yurt’s doing, the sky danced an incredible number for us that we were lucky enough to witness from the comfort of the front deck. Truly, an Airbnb that I would recommend to anyone who asked.”

“Dave and April were such amazing hosts and their home was perfect for our 4 day stay in Fairbanks. Dave was very helpful in giving us tips for our stay, including helping us staying up to date with all the new COVID regulations so we didn’t have any surprises when we arrived at the airport. Their home was clean, cozy, and in a great neighborhood not far from a number of restaurants, grocery stores, and Fairbanks attractions. We hope to be back in Fairbanks soon, and will be sure to book Dave and April’s place again in the future!”
