Vacation rentals in Custer County

It was our first anniversary and we wanted to get out of Boise and celebrate. We looked at McCall, Cascade, Sun Valley and Ketchum. We found the PERFECT location in your amazing AirBnB in Challis. On the trip we saw fall colors, historic sites, breath taking scenery, deer, elk, mountain sheep, turkeys, antelope, a blue jay and a chipmunk! The centrally located, historic building was converted to lodging and has rustic charm while being updated with all of the modern amenities. It is impeccably clean and organized with everything you would want or need. It is furnished with many intriguing and one of a kind pieces. very artistic, woodsy and western. To maintain the historic integrity they had to be creative with some of the modernizing construction and it resulted in fun, quirky and charming solutions that added to the experience, We loved it! Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay. Stanley is beautiful and this apartment is located in the center of town. Jim and Karin answered all our questions. They were very flexible and accommodating with checking out after we got our vehicle stuck in the snow and needed a bit more time to deal with that. The space is small but very comfortable and cozy. Has everything you need. The town was mostly shutdown due to it being off season but the restaurant that was open had a great bar and food. There are also a grocery store and gas station in town that stays open throughout the year. All the locals were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time visiting the hot springs, snow shoeing and exploring the area. We hope to be back and will rent from them again for sure.

Cute, well planned use of space. Nice interior design. Must have been recently renovated, everything spotless. Kitchen had everything we needed, spices and pantry basics too. Short walk to SV lodge. Loved it and stayed an extra day.

Great place to stay while I was assigned to the Wapiti fire. Place is clean and right near the bakery. Would definitely like to stay there when I'm not busy with work.

This place is a gem of a find! Cozy, and comfortable with all the amenities, the home is also interesting and in a great location. The ratings tell you what a great place Shaw Mesa is, but during the fire threats the owner was thoughtful, responsive and unexpectedly generous when they threatened our stay. We look forward to returning and having the adventures available nearby!

We had a lovely stay! The apartment was clean and cosy, check in was easy, and Rebecca was helpful and quick to respond. Would stay again.
