Alan's place is accurately described. It is a work in progress in some areas but it was still well worth the stay. The castle is quite unique, and Alan was extremely friendly.

Alan described it just well. Gregg was exactly what I thought it would be. We chose this stay because of the charm that we knew it would offer. Thank you again Alan and I wish you the best in your next venture. Hopefully we are able to return when everything has transitioned. Will be amazing to see it.

Our stay was simply wonderful: the home was stunning, the bedding very comfortable, the breakfast delicious, the hosts incredibly helpful and hospitable. Not only was every detail of our stay attended to with care, the local suggestions the hosts gave included directions and suggestions as to which way to drive the loops to Cliffs of Moher to take in the best sights and stops on the way. We highly recommend a stay with Chris and Orla!

Staying at Carraigin Castle was one of the best stays of my life! The location was so beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. It was hard to choose which spot to have my morning coffee as there were so many gorgeous spots to choose from! The castle is so cozy. We loved sitting around the fireplace in the evenings. Tina the caterer made the most delicious dinner for us during our stay and provided a lovely welcome basket. I would absolutely stay here again and I definitely will be recommending Carraigin Castle to my friends and family.

Our family couldn't stop talking about this stay and experience. To stay in an ACTUAL castle... we only wished the walls could talk! The place was beautiful, private, and decorated fantastically! There are no t.v's etc as described but that was a BENEFIT. We played games and talked by the giant fireplace. Had dinners at the great table in the kitchen. And dressed up even in fun outfits they provide to add to the experience. The location is great! The hosts list the amenities near by and are spot on with recommendations. Also as a runner, I went for runs on the roads in the morning and felt safe and awed by the surroundings.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

This was such a fun experience, and such a treat to stay in sign an old castle. it was a dream to stay here for our honeymoon, and the complementary bottle of wine and breakfast were icing on the cake. It's so worth splurging a little, and honestly it's priced very reasonably for the experience!

Excellent comfortable space in a renovated castle complex. Very different and interesting space with tour offered. Good breakfast with excellent coffee. We would return on another trip without question.

Very comfortable place to stay. Clean, warm, spacious and in an absolutely fabulous location for walks and exploring Connemara. Ballynahinch Castle in walking distance for a lovely meal out, although best to drive (4min) in the evening as the roads/pathways are unlit.

The castle is a magnificent place to spend a few nights. It is just outside Claregalway, but you feel like you're in a scenic countryside. Our room was so spacious, and had a beautiful view of the river next to the castle. It had a big, beautiful bed, a place to sit and watch the river flow, and was peaceful.
