All the outdoor beauty of Dublin on a 3 hour Howth e-bike tour. We meet outside, to the right side of the main entrance to Howth Yacht Club, at the green double gates on the Middle Pier in Howth. Following a briefing & short practice to give everyone a chance to get the hang of the bikes, we cruise at a leisurely pace to discover Howth Harbour, hearing about Howth Castle (our very own Game of Thrones!). On back lanes and shortcuts that only locals know we explore the unknown & quiet south side of Howth Peninsula to Strand Road and Sutton Martello Tower overlooking the UN Biosphere of Dublin Bay. Before you know it we will be at the top of Howth Head with panoramic views; North, South, East & West. Along little known trails across the heath lands we find Baily Green and the epic cliff paths, to views over the Baily Lighthouse and beyond. Our local insight brings these classic locations to life, weaving history, nature, legends and tales with modern times. Freewheel back down to Howth Harbour where our guests can use their new found local knowledge to truly make themselves at home with memories of an Irish day that will last forever. While the e-bikes do a lot of the work it is important you are able to ride a bike & have a good sense of balance. We ride on loose gravel paths and fields both on and off road and away from the busy trails.

Learn how to make a sterling silver ring from scratch, with our AWARD WINNING EXPERIENCE! Start off by marking your silver to the length you require by choosing which finger you would like it on. Then, you'll use a handsaw to cut it to size, you'll learn how to form the ring, using a mallet to shape it to the ring mandrel. You'll watch as it is soldered in front of you by an expert tutor—all the time, she will explain exactly what she is doing. Then you'll learn to file it by using different hand files—this is fun, as it is when you get to individualize your ring, deciding what curve you would like it to have. This can make a great difference to the end result. Next, you'll choose from three very different textures. You get to use your creativity with the planishing hammer to achieve the texture you require. People love this part as it's when you make your ring truly individual. Finally you get to choose your polish. Some people like it polished only on the inside, to give it an artistic/rustic look. Others like the glittery sparkle of a fully polished ring. Arrive at BAR 1661... A short tour of our historic cross street nestled amongst Dublin's historic fruit markets while welcome drink is being prepared. Return to our adjacent drinks factory for a Belfast Coffee, our house drink, a cold brewed poitín version of a classic Irish Coffee served around our custom centre table made from local Irish Sycamore. *We will then take you on a guided tasting through the history of poitín and on a journey from the 14th century right through to modern day. There will be four poitíns to try, each tying in with the spirit's notorious history. We will sample a second cocktail as we wind down the tasting. Guests are welcome to stay and book seats in the bar to further explore our cocktail creations and sample one of the largest selections of Irish spirits in the country. We also have our award winning cocktail list inspired by local history and an Irish bar snacks menu. At this social dining experience , you'll help Ann cook a traditional Irish dinner that you'll then enjoy together in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Learn how to cook ( and then enjoy ) soup with seasonal ingredients, Irish Soda Bread, Colcannon and Beef and Guinness Casserole, and your own Irish Coffee ! You will make your own loaf of traditional brown soda bread, I will then demonstrate how to make an Irish stew. While they are in the oven we will go to our best local craft pub for a beer tasting and then we will return to eat our meal. I will provide you with recipes and you will get to take your loaf of bread home with you. Other things to note This experience is not really suitable for vegetarians but they can be accommodated as long as I know in advance.

During the hour long class you will learn few basic steps and moves from Sean-nós and Irish step dancing, and a bit of the background history of traditional Irish dancing and music. We'll start with a short tour in the thatched cottage. Then we'll jump right into the dancing. We'll learn and practice the steps without the music first, we add the music afterwards. Towards the end you will have an opportunity to record all the fun of your experience to share it with your friends, loved ones, and on your social media. You will also be able to record the steps we learned during the class. In the end we can discuss any mysteries and/or questions you have related to the Irish music and dancing world. I’m also very happy to share with you where you can find authentic traditional music in the pubs. To finish off the experience I'll make a short dance performance for you. Other things to note Alternative times can be accommodated This experience is suited for all fitness levels! We won't do anything extremely physically demanding. The main goal is to try out an easy dance step/steps and have fun.

You'll discover the future of food at our coastal landbased aquaculture farm tucked away amongst the maze of old stone walls in Rossaveel. Guided by Sinead and Cindy, you'll experience the joys of identifying and foraging seaweed along the rugged coastline and enjoy a tour of this modern aquaculture system. We'll provide you with a delicious tasting of fresh seafood dishes that makes use of the seafood grown on the farm as well as fresh wild ingredients foraged from the nearby sea. The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale ! We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love. Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way. These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city. During our kayaking journey, we will encounter many seals who are always happy to meet us. They usually follow us around the island. The island is filled with wildlife from sea to sky, Puffins, Gannets, Gulls, Seals and even Dolphin's have been spotted in the areas of the island. Before we leave Howth Harbor we shall improve our skills and fine-tune a safe plan to cross to the island. After 20 minutes we will arrive at Ireland's Eye to be greeted by a most beautiful beach overlooked by the Martello Tower which was built in 1803. We will have plenty of time to explore this exciting place which is steeped in Irish history and if we are lucky we can enter the sea cave at the rear of the island. Ireland's Eye is a well-kept secret and is fast becoming the most attractive place to visit in Dublin. Bring a towel, Sun Cream, Sun Glasses, Camera, Strong Runners, and a committed attitude. All trips are weather permitted. Although our guides are experts. It is up to each individual to demonstrate the necessary skills and fitness level required to make it to the island and back.
