Muddy Cottage, Ballincolla, Union Hall

MatthewRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a lovely week at Muddy Cottage. Perched on a peaceful hilltop overlooking the beautiful water at Union Hall the location is beautiful. We felt at home straightaway, with plenty of space for a family of four. Despite being very secluded, it's a just a walk down the hill to a good coffee shop (Nolans), pub (Dinty's), lovely restaurant/bar (The Dock Wall) and handy store (Centra). We spent our time exploring the area, stunning scenery and so many beautiful beaches and views. We enjoyed: - A bracing walk on Long Strand, after fish and chips at The Fish Basket - The windy views from the Baltimore Beacon - Exploring the local towns of Skibbereen and Clonakilty - The golden sands at Barley Cove Bay - Anakista Bar (the tin pub), with beautiful views and a great pint of Beamish on the way to Sheep's Head - Space and time to relax, without the crowds of some other areas So much more to explore next time!

Stable Cottage, Fortwilliam Estate

AlexRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Myself and two friends had a lovely stay at Fortwilliam. The location was lovely and it was a short drive into Lismore. We drove into Dungarvan on a few occasions and went to Clonea beach and used the HotPod. We explored the estate, walked along the river bank, found the beehives, it is a beautiful place. The Stable Cottage had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was lovely and warm. We were very lucky with some beautiful weather which enhanced our stay. We were met by Karl at check in, he was very helpful and provided us with some local information, closest supermarket etc and told us if we needed anything to let him know. Over all it was a lovely stay and we would recommend Fortwilliam to anyone looking for a nice base to explore west Waterford.

Heir Island Holiday Homes - Timmy's Cottage

AdrienneRating, 5 stars47 months ago
Timmy's Cottage is really clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well-stocked with equipment and there are books and games (& a TV with Saorview too) available for those days that the weather isn't up to much. The Location is lovely and check-in and communication with Tadhg were very pleasant and easy. A good house for a family or a group of friends. The House is about 20 minutes walk from the pier and about 10-15 minutes to the main beach, Sailing School, Pizzheiria/Café, Island Cottage Restaurant and Gallery. There is a closer beach, but it is most easily accessible by boat/kayak although if you are prepared to hike (off-road) you can get there on foot too. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to others.

Absolute peace and open with sea views

DenisRating, 5 stars10 months ago
"Ait mo Chroi" ( Where my heart is ) is a fantastic getaway location. The house is very clean, spaceous , bright and airy, secluded, and very well equipped. We would recommend it to family and friends It is a bit off the beaten track. A car is essential to get to shops, restaurants etc. We had a car and bicyles. We are leisure cyclists, and enjoyed the quiet country roads. We know the area very well. It was very frustrating that a bye road, shown on the OS map and we have cycled down in the past, is now inaccessible, gated and overgrown. This has greatly increased the distance to the local beach.

Room - Mountain View Double/Triple-b’fast included

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Paudie and Anne were simply outstanding hosts in their fantastic home; we could not have been happier with all aspects of our stay. We loved the friendly chats over great breakfasts, and their helpful tips for local restaurants and for the “must do’s” for our Ring of Kerry” drive. A wonderful experience, and highly recommended.

The Stables, Barn Conversion

GillianRating, 5 starstoday
We stayed at Hesters for a local work event and can highly recommend this property. The communication from Hester was first class and the property was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. The cookies, eggs and other treats were a lovely touch. Safe parking in the farm yard.

Castle Freke Estate, The Stable Cottage

KarenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We loved everything about our stay. The cottage was very ample, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We had so much space! We loved the dogs, goats, sheep, horses, donkeys, cows, and cat The walk to the ocean was marvelous and we loved walking along the beach. The grounds are amazing: castles and a beautiful family church from years ago. But the best were the people! Kristina and her family were so welcoming and helpful to us; we really appreciated them!

Millstream Barn in woodland next to beach Kinsale

ZahraRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a wonderful time at the Barn. It’s a magical place right by the sea. Only a short walk to the beach. The sound of the stream next to the barn is so relaxing. Such a space place. Will be coming back.
