Great place to stay in Madeira

Very nice apartment, there is everything nearby, grocery stores, restaurants, bakery, taxis, buses.. quiet area with a very nice viewpoint nearby. Possibility to rent a car with the owner which is not insignificant and better for a more adequate island tour! The apartment all needed for total autonomy! We were able to have a wonderful family vacation!

the apartment is very beautiful and very clean, a wonderful view of the ocean. Completely similar to the photos. Marco is welcoming and very responsive. He gave us a lot of tips for walks, restaurants... We had a wonderful stay

Yes, this is the place to go ;) - Photos do not show the real beauty of the terrace and its view (especially sunsets and sunrises) - Place is clean, cozy and the mattress in the main bedroom is firm and comfortable - It has all the amenities needed - including washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, iron, 2 tv's etc. - Located close to Restaurant Garajau (good place to eat), stores (Pingo Doce, Continente), awesome beach and a local highway (still quiet place though). - Hosts are fiendly and helpfull - There is a parking spot in the basement, but it is super narrow and we parked along the road/by the building.

We immediately felt at home in the apartment. Joana is a great host, she showed us around and responded quickly. The place was cozy, clean and had a great seaside view. We very much appreciated the supermarket below the apartment and the bakery around the corner. Overall, an excellent stay and we would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

We stayed in Madeira for 6 days in November. I can only recommend the apartment to everyone. It is quietly located in a community, with a private parking space in a garage which is an advantage in Madeira. The apartment was very clean and very large. We felt very comfortable. From the apartment you can make many excursions and explore the entire island, is quickly in Funchal, has delicious restaurants within walking distance, but has its peace in the evening. Communication with Monika was very friendly and uncomplicated. In case of problems, she was immediately responsive and had a quick solution. If we come back, we would book the apartment again.

Vanda's apartment is in a great location. Small supermarket and cafe right downstairs in the apartment block and many small good restaurants nearby. Short walk to the sea with promenade and swimming opportunities. Good transport links and starting point for excursions. Very convenient with the underground parking in the house. Beautiful sea view from the balcony, living room and bedroom. Both double beds are 1.40 m wide, which is actually too narrow for us personally, but it was fine.

Amazing view and nice balcony! Clean rooms and a small kitchenette to prepare breakfast. Everything was great, very helpful and kind hosts who provided lot of information. Great location to explore the Island with a rental car.

Great spot reasonably close to airport and to Funchal. We’d return but would split up our trip next time between this location and SW section of Madeira. Comfortable, nice patio and nice to have 2 bathrooms! Thanks Phil!

A wonderful place to stay. It all looked as shown on the pictures or described on the listing. The sea view from the room or balcony was particularly outstanding. In the immediate vicinity are shopping for groceries as well as a super tasty bakery. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and always immediately available. Felix Mutter welcomed us right in front of the accommodation and showed us everything in peace. We were already organized a taxi to the accommodation in advance so that the outward journey from the airport was uncomplicated and relaxed. It was a wonderful vacation all around, which we will remember for a long time.

We are so happy that we stayed with Carlos and Maria while we explored Madeira. :) The appartement has everything needed and is located in a good place to start traveling. There was always enough space for a car as well. Carlos and Maria are such wonderful people spreading love into the world. :) Thank you! We would definitely come back!

We had such a great time at this apartment and lovely area. Sigrid was really helpful and friendly. Everything perfect a lovely base to explore the island and great restaurants nearby.

Avelino's apartment was great. We worked during the week, had several restaurants and cafes to choose from in the area, and the internet was super fast and never caused any problems. There was also a larger store nearby. Right next to us there was a bus stop to Funchal. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and the best part is the view of the ocean, the town and your own sunrise. I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay! The apartment was impeccable, exactly as in the pictures, and equipped with everything we needed. The location is great, making it easy to access all the attractions. Mr. Guido was extremely helpful and received us with great kindness, even presented us with a delicious cake made by his wife. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at Julie's apartment. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The view from the living room and the terrace was even better than we had imagined from the photos. Julie was super welcoming and available for any questions we had

Very nice stay with awesome pool and jacuzzi. Also Leonardo was a very kind host with some create unique local tips. Would've glady extended our stay with Leo, we had a great home away from home. Did I mentioned the pool and jacuzzi?

The apartment had everything we needed, it was grateful to have a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, washing machine etc. It was very convenient to have supermarket/shopping mall across the street, close to restaurants and the sea. It was also lovely with pool, jacuzzi and sauna. It was gold worth having Susana as a host. She was very kind and helpful. She could assist with a ride to different hiking trails and sights for great prices. It was also very nice to get information and history about Madeira. It could sound a lot in the evening and morning when the bus stop was just outside but nothing we bothered us a lot about. The dishes were not completely clean and it was dusty under the beds otherwise we are super happy👍. We would be glad to come back in the future and recommend renting from Susana❤️.

I had the pleasure of staying with Maria for 6 days and had a wonderful time in Funchal. The apartment is perfectly located, equipped with everything you could wish for, the bed is very comfortable, and the surroundings are quiet at night. The garden and the rooftop terrace are perfect for relaxing. The communication with Maria was excellent — she was very friendly and helpful. I was able to rent a garage space for my rental car, which I highly recommend due to the parking situation. I felt very comfortable and can highly recommend staying here!

We had a great stay at Paula's place. She responded very quickly to messages and welcomed us herself and showed us around. She also gave us a list of various recommendations- both for places to visit and very good restaurants. She also helped us get a good deal for a car rental. The apartment itself was super well equipped. Paula had even left for us beach towels and a fresh bag of coffee which we found a nice gesture. The location is very good, close to cafes, a big supermarket and down the stairs to the beach. Yes it's steep to get there but this is Madeira! There's not much to dislike. Maybe the bed was a bit hard and narrow but we still slept quite well tired after long days. The water in the pool was also rather on a cold side but it didn't stop the kids from swimming every day.

Betty met us at the apartment and she was very friendly and welcoming. She explained everything about the apartment to us and sent links with lots of recommendations for Funchal! The apartment was very clean and tidy and the welcome pack that Betty provided was great! The beds were extremely comfortable and although the apartment is on a busy road we were not bothered by the traffic noise. It was great sitting on the balcony having morning coffee and the twinkling lights of the vista at night was very relaxing. The location was near to both the sea front and the old town. The walk back is uphill but we soon got used to that! Fantastic apartment- would recommend and will certainly stay again if we come back to Funchal in the future.

One of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. AHIM is magical — clean, peaceful and with beautiful views. The outdoor kitchen is so fun and the hot tub was a bonus. The apartment itself was perfect, had everything I needed for a 2 weeks stay. It truly felt like home and I miss it already!

Spacious and very well furnished and equipped apartment. The view is magnificent and direct access to the pool is a major asset (even if the water was a little cool at the end of October .. ). Ana was a pleasant host and reacted quickly to help us cope with a difficulty when we arrived. We would recommend this listing!
