We had a wonderful vacation at Casa da Janela! The house is beautiful, very cozy and perfect for family moments. It was impeccably clean, well-equipped and full of little details that made us feel truly at home. The landscape is simply relaxing — with stunning mountain and ocean views. The soft sound of the waves and the absolute calm were the perfect setting to recharge. The location is excellent: isolated enough to ensure total tranquility, but close to everything we needed. A big thank you to the hosts, who were always attentive and available.

Pleasant and spacious accommodation for four people, large courtyard outdoor for easy parking. Quiet environment and stunning ocean views. Thanks to Jorge for his involvement in finding a rental vehicle.

We had a wonderful 2 days stay at the house. outside has lots of nice seating areas, perfect place to eat breakfast and dinner. The kitchen has every supply that we needed to cook. Overall a great house to stay.

The house is an old farmhouse and very spacious. Instead of windows, some rooms have doors to the outside. Very nice is the conservatory, where you can sit even in less good weather and enjoy the magnificent view. The kitchen is well equipped. We sometimes disturbed the traffic past the house. We were warmly welcomed with fruit and Madeira wine. Many thanks to Emanuel for the friendly accompaniment and the good recommendations. I can only recommend the house!

Beautiful house! Amazing host, Paula makes sure everything is great. She even dropped by in the evening to bring new sheets when our baby threw up on our bed. Too sweet. Also the communication with her was the best ever. Big pool, great garden to have morning coffee in the sun, lovely village on walking distance. Good to know that the water pressure of the showers are a bit low, we were able to get a good shower anyway. Paula is super flexible, we were allowed to stay in the house until our flight left that day because there was not a guest coming that day or the next. All in all we would recommend Paula’s place 1000%.

A property set in a stunning location, the views of Funchal were amazing. The property has a private pool within spacious grounds. The house is well equipped with everything a family needs, particularly the kitchen. Carlota and Babi were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any correspondence.

Eight days in the heart of nature. View of the valley and mountains. Waking up in the clouds. Quiet at the rendezvous. When we arrived, a basket full of fruits and vegetables from the garden was waiting for us as well as a good bottle of wine and fresh eggs. A treat!!!! Super responsive and always caring hosts. Ana is queen of communication. We stayed in this apartment for a week, and I would admit she welcomed us perfectly. She gave us great restaurant recommendations, and welcomed with local fruits which I’ve never seen or tasted before was such a thoughtful gesture. The weather was quite rainy and windy during the week we stayed, and this apartment had everything we needed from beach towels, extra pillows,blankets or heater.She invited us to her own pool but we didn’t get the chance to visit since we were spending entire day hiking. The apartment is surrounded with mountains and banana farms, facing through beautiful ocean view. As we’re both light sleepers, this was the perfect spot for a good night sleep. Looking forward to stay here again!

Beautiful cottage! So cozy and the views are fantastic. We really enjoyed watching the sunset on the balcony. It’s an easy walk into town with some hidden gems close by. Also if you don’t want to walk the hill on the way back from town it was a 5€ bolt ride. We rented a car and it was easy to park just past the cottage where the hill isn’t so steep. I would highly recommend this property!

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

Claudia’s place is a peaceful retreat with a breathtaking ocean view. We stayed in a cozy private unit with a comfy bed, a fully equipped kitchen (with everything needed for cooking), and a spacious veranda — perfect for slow breakfasts and quiet evenings of drawing. Claudia is a warm and caring host. We were welcomed with sweet treats, fresh fruits, water, and juice — such a thoughtful gesture. The silence, the view, and the little details made us feel truly at home. There’s parking on-site or just up the road. A place full of calm, beauty, and heart. We’ll always remember it.

Our stay was wonderful! The apartment was super nice and clean! The Host did a great job of making sure we felt comfortable and offered a lot of great recommendations .

Ideally located apartment. 15 min drive to Funchal. A stone's throw from the port with its restaurants (supermarket) and activities. Cathy takes the time to explain the places to visit on the island and tips on the residence (on the phone). Beautiful view of the harbor from the balcony, rooftop pool with gym. Large apartment with large kitchen and everything tastefully decorated. Camara de Lobos is more family-friendly and quiet than Funchal and not too far from the highway, ideal for discovering Madeira. Easy access to the apartment, no super steep roads as there can be on the island.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Funchal. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the apartment was spotless with tasteful, modern decor. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The area itself is beautiful and peaceful, with everything working smoothly throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Madeira

The place was spotless and as described. The key box on the premises allows flexibility for check-in and checkout. Parking is closed by an electric gate, which is very nice. Proximity to the airport is a plus. However, depending on the day, the planes can be heard, but you get used to it. We had a pleasant stay.

Stayed a week and we wished it was longer! The house really fits the description, surrounded by banana trees we could also see and hear the waterfalls from the cliffs and the ocean from below. It was so idyllic! We were so worried about it being cold but the house is well insulated, it was almost too warm in the night. We also had no issue at all with mosquitoes and spent some nice breakfasts and dinners on the terrace. The hosts were also as great as the accommodation! We were directly met with some fresh bananas. The rest of the week they were incredibly helpful whenever we encountered any issues, even if it wasn’t a question related to the house. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, even offered some extra blankets and a heater that we didn’t need in the end! The street leading to the accommodation is indeed steep, we’d recommend a smaller rental car but with a good amount of horse power still. Nonetheless the way up to this gem is absolutely worth it!

For several months I watched this offer to finally block it. Finally, after 8 months, I managed to rent this house for a week. Well, I’m a visual person and I totally fell in love with the photos. And I’ll tell you something in secret- the photos don’t reflect reality.... it’s much better. A beautiful place, right by the ocean, the ocean sways you to sleep and wakes you up in the morning. The cottage has everything you need for a normal home life. Joana, prepared this place for us like a real Mom - took care of every detail - so that we felt absolutely unique in this special place. Joanna is an extraordinary, wonderful Woman. Full of warmth and empathy. I am very grateful to you Joan for everything you have done for us to make this time so special for us! - thank you! And now dear ones - if you do not see free dates - be patient! It’s worth waiting! It is worth going over 280 stairs to have a piece of paradise for a moment for yourself. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

The accommodation was ideal for a vacation in Funchal, with many restaurants and cafes fairly close by. We had not appreciated how steep the hill is when walking up from the old town, but managed the walk virtually every day during our 3 week stay. Prospective visitors would be well advised to make use of taxis (costing around €6 from the town centre to the property) or check out the Number 22 bus which runs from town to a stop outside the property. Had we looked at the bus details earlier, we might have saved ourselves some hill climbing. We watched the New Year fireworks from the road outside and would really recommend this fantastic experience to others. Carina is a very considerate and supportive host and was always quick to help, whenever asked.

It is a professionally run place with everything you need to stay in Madeira. Absolutely recommended

Casa Jean with Andrea and Jens is an enchanting wooden cottage, very well furnished and with fantastic views of the sea and in front of a banana plantation. Thanks to the remote location, we were able to escape the somewhat hectic surroundings, e.g. from Funchal, very well and enjoy the peace and quiet in front of and in the cottage. At the same time, you can reach the various orders of the island in a short time by car, with very different hikes and experiences. The hosts Andrea and Jens gave us good tips and welcomed us very nicely with little touches. We highly recommend this gem and will be very happy to come back! All the best, Beate and Richard

We felt very comfortable in Richards House. It's great to have breakfast in the garden. There are some nice hikes nearby and it was cosy at the fireplace in the evening. We would defenatly come again!
