Nice location and ideal to see sunsets and hear the waves directly in front of the apartment. Communication was good, the host even brought us a toaster after we requested it. There are several restaurants very close, parking was very easy and in the street.

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Raquel was beyond friendly and understanding. She allowed us to check in early. She made everything so easy after a long flight. She also gave the. Eat recommendations. I would highly suggest booking with her. The location was ideal and a friendly neighborhood. A simple but good place to stay right in the heart of Funchal. Impeccable communication with João, who welcomed us nicely. We had everything we needed including washing machine. Everything went smoothly, thank you so much!

This was the perfect stay for my Madeira getaway! I was greeted by my host who was friendly and welcoming and showed me everything I needed to know, and then he left me to enjoy the spectacular view of the ocean. My host was always available to answer questions and even helped me with a transportation recommendation to get to and from the airport. I found the location to be ideal for everything that I wanted to do, and grocery shopping was close by. I am already thinking about my next trip to Madeira and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

it was all as described, Filomena provided good and helpful information in advance, accommodation is not suitable for people with limited mobility (stairs to the apartment very steep but well labeled, yellow stripes on each staircase), the highway can only be heard with the window open (probably due to the sound up into the mountains), if you sleep with the window open and are sensitive to noise, we recommend earplugs, the street is very steep but you can always find a parking space, for a 10-minute drive to Funchal we always decided on an app BOLT (here was a recommendation of a previous booking - pick up on the street below in a small bend, running time from apartment max. 5 minutes), view really great and you have different seating all over the garden, washing machine and dryer available, dishwasher unfortunately not - but was not a problem, we would come back and recommend

Spacious and very well furnished and equipped apartment. The view is magnificent and direct access to the pool is a major asset (even if the water was a little cool at the end of October .. ). Ana was a pleasant host and reacted quickly to help us cope with a difficulty when we arrived. We would recommend this listing!

The place is a nice house located on the top of a tall mountain with good views

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and spacious and we loved having the pool to cool off in. The view from the terrace was great too. We would highly recommend Carla and Bruno’s house.

This villa was absolutely incredible for our group of 9 for a 1 week stay. Everything was perfect, especially the views and the pool. All amenities were as described. Pedro was an 11/10 host - always accessible for any help and tips we needed on the island and made check-in super smooth. Highly recommend this property!

We really loved the apartment and everything about it! The view to the ocean, cute garden, very comfortable bed, modern interior, sparkling clean bathroom - everything was perfect and according to the description. The host shared local recommendations and stayed responsive all the time. A great place to stay!

Maria’s home is lovely, everything was very clean and tidy. The roof terrace with pool and outside kitchen made our holiday. Overlooking Funchal and the daily visits of cruise ships, we really enjoyed mornings and evenings in this happy place.

TLDR: Sofia and her place rock. Don’t stay anywhere else on Madeira. Sofia’s place is one of the best Air BnBs we have ever stayed in. The views from the porch and balcony are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The house has a chill, calming vibe, especially with some music playing and a breeze blowing through the open windows. The kitchen has everything you could ever need to cook with and serve food on. Plates, bowls, pots, pans galore! We spent most of our time at Sofia’s place eating or lounging on the front porch. If you don’t feel like cooking, the eclectic Joe’s Bar is about 100 steps from the house, depending on your stride. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. The staff is delightful. Jardim do Mar is a hidden gem on Madeira. The town is clean and well taken care of. There is something special around each corner. Great food at Joe’s Bar. Stone benches with stunning views of the waves as they crash against the sea wall. Beautiful plants.

Our stay in the villa was even better than expected. The house was very spacious and clean, we had all the facilities we needed and Elvio was a really friendly and helpful host. We would totally recommend staying here!

lovely clean and comfortable place in a great location

Great stay. I used Jorge's place as a hub for hiking Madeira. The views are amazing, especially the sunsets and sunrise. At night, you can see the city lights of Funchal. As various reviews mention, the parking is challenging, and 50% of the time you won't have a space. If no space, you can pay 6.50 EUR for the local car park overnight which isn't a deal breaker. About 5 minutes walk away are the pools and sun loungers. The stay for me was 4.5/5. To get the full 5 stars, it would be good to fix the TV remote / TV, and improve the wifi (which like the parking, only worked well 50% of the time). However, don't let that put you off. Jorge, if you can fix the above, then I would recommend this as a 5/5 stay to others considering the stay here

This stay at Annikka's place was a great experience. The apartment is in a great location, which allowed to be less than an hour's drive from all the activities of the island (car rental highly recommended, see mandatory). The area is quiet and the apartment has ocean views even from the bed when you wake up! It is rare to find an available space in the private parking lot of the residence if you want to park in the evening, however we have always found a place on the surrounding streets as the host had explained (in front of the Baia Azul hotel for example). Everything is well equipped and the instructions were very clear, we recommend this listing without hesitation! Laura & Rio

We had a very nice stay in Adriana's apartment. It felt like we were the first. Clean and cozy, modernly furnished. The location is great and the amenities except for a dishwasher perfect. The only personal preferences would be softer mattresses. We also always found a parking space in front of the apartment. The pool is also great for relaxing after a trip. Thank you. We will be happy to come back.

Lovely place, great view

We loved our stay of 6 days in this quiet apartment. Drink nice coffee every morning with a nice sandwich. Wonderful wake up. Everything was present in this beautiful apartment and Nuno explained everything to us well after a friendly reception. Lovely terrace with nice seating. High shower for tall people also pleasant. Towels for the beach/pools are also ready to use. By bus you will be right downtown. We have done it a few times with it is a whole tip. Thank you for this nice stay. And maybe see you when we come back to this beautiful island where you can easily drive everywhere by car. Great roads and people also drive quietly here so a rental car is not a problem if you like to drive through the mountains.

Everything you want for a nice stay and a relaxing holiday is available. We were there in the low season, unfortunately there was renovation next to us. The noisy gardener also disturbed sleep. But otherwise, everything was great.

Fantastic location, right in the center of Funchal. The apartment had everything we needed for a cozy and comfortable stay. The space was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for exploring the city. Fernando was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with, always available for any questions we had. We felt very welcome and taken care of. Would definitely stay again!
