Beautiful and well equipped apartment with fantastic ocean views

Iri was a phenomenal host. She was very accommodating and informative during our check in. The apartment we stayed in was perfect for a couple, lots of space. There are grocery stores and cafes less than a 5 min walk away and many great restaurants 15-20 min walks away. We had a car, which was very helpful in exploring the island. Iri had recommendations close to the apartment and also outside of the city, all of which were excellent! We can’t wait to come back!

We liked the apartment very much. The location was great and you have a beach and several small bars right outside the house. It was also very clean. The roof terrace is a shared terrace with the remaining residents and not private. From the small private balcony that belongs to the apartment, you also have a beautiful view of the sea. Carlos was always available and very friendly.

We had an amazing stay at Julie's apartment. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The view from the living room and the terrace was even better than we had imagined from the photos. Julie was super welcoming and available for any questions we had

The flat is very clean, it has everything you need for your stay and it is close to the sea. We enjoyed every moment of our holiday, it was great to be able to hear the sea from the flat. I can absolutely recommend the flat and the location, and as a plus the coffee and the baked goods at the bakery below the flats are just great. If you like jogging, this is also the perfect place for that. You can run from the flat to the historical city centre and then run along the sea and watch the waves. Just an amazing experience. There are quite some hiking trails nearby, so after some beach time you can easily go for a wonderful hike. The hosts are very nice and friendly. Overall I can only recommend this place.

The location is perfect and walkable to old town and main attractions. The apartment is clean, has everything we need, easy to check in and Luis is responsive. The only minor surprise we had is there’s no elevator so you’ll have to bring your luggage to 2nd floor —but Luis helped us carry some luggages up so thank you Luis. I would stay here again.

A lovely apartment very close to beach. I would recommend and stay there again if I returned to Ponta Do Sol.

Thank you Veronica for letting us stay here. You have a little charm here for sure. Loved sitting out on the front balcony watching the ocean something I could do all day. The corner restaurant was an added bonus and the food and service was great.

The views are truly breathtaking at anytime of the day or night. Worth getting up to see the sunrise. The place was spotless and had more exterior space than the listing suggested. Comfortable beds and linens. Exceptional location with lots of restaurants within walking distance and short walk or drive to downtown core of Funchal. We mostly drove but when we walked to Lido, we took a taxi back due to the steep walk, but all of Funchal shares the same challenge so be ready for it. Host had many great recommendations on where to go (not just non-tourist traps but great fits to your specific requirements… I was impressed!). Highly recommended.

The house is well located to visit the island, very nice to relax, the garden is sumptuous, the pool is very pleasant and António is a very welcoming host.

We loved our stay here! It is a really nice and cosy house with a beautiful garden with a swimmingpool. Everything is available: nice shower, big bed, kitchen with everthing you need, netflix, blankets, washingmachine, etc. And when we arrived they gave us wine and cookies as a welcome present, really sweet. Also the view over the ocean is beautiful and the host was really nice and gave us multiple recommendations.

The house is a little older but super equipped and offers plenty of space. Parking is right by the house and the supermarket is also right around the corner. Angela was very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay!

Very nice apartment, exactly like the photos. I really liked the mix of old furniture in the bedroom and living room and the modern equipment of the kitchen and bathroom. All specified amenities are available, as well as many consumables. A lot of space, here 4 people can live comfortably and also linger. Despite the central location very quiet and with nice neighborhood. The great view right in front of the door completes the overall package. If you arrive by car, you should first drive past the apartment, park 100 m further up and take a look at the driveway. Private parking must be opened first.

Filipe is a great host, he communicated well and gave us many good tips for things to do and good restaurants. The house is very nice and exactly as displayed on the pictures. It was very clean and centrally located to do day trips from. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the penthouse. The accommodation is fully equipped and has been handed over sparkling clean. Eva is an excellent host, was always very friendly and accommodating. The equipment of the accommodation is high-quality and tasteful, albeit a bit outdated. The large terrace was our absolute highlight, from here you could watch breathtaking sunsets. The other floors of the house are not inhabited, but you were not necessarily alone on the property: there is still a vacation home in the back of the property, and on the terrace of the second floor there was someone who also enjoyed the sunsets. Overall a very nice stay and an absolute recommendation!

10/10. The hosts did everything possible to make us feel right at home. We loved staying in this airbnb. It was perfect for our short trip to Madeira and the easy parking spot was a huge help for us

It was an amazing place to stay in. Jose helped us find good places around and the place itself was clean and had everything you can think would come in handy.

Amazing apartment, location, great value for the money. So spacious and comfortable. The only thing is that it would be great to update the mattresses, they were quite old and felt uncomfortable. Teresa is a wonderful host. Madeira is astonishing. We would like to be back.

Great place to stay for a couple. Bus stop right outside to connect to all parts of funchal. Comfortable bed, good shower and incredible view. Check in and out was a breeze. Great comms from Laura. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This was more like being at home with very comfy beds and furnishings. All of which were of high quality. Beautiful cotton sheets & fluffy towels plus the duvet was a high quality duckn down. We look forward to staying with Zelia again.

Delila was an great host. Apartment was clean with all the amenities. Location is great, close to the beaches, stores and restaurants. Bus stop is right in front of the apartment.
