We booked this as an alternative to the nonsense hotel scene that typically comes during high traffic events in Champaign. Hilary was great with communication and instructions.

I cannot say enough good things about J&E Homestead! So many little details and personal touches to make guests welcome and comfortable. Extremely responsive and friendly. One of the BEST AirBnBs we’ve visited and we have stayed in quite a few! You cannot go wrong booking this warm and comfortable family abode!! 5 Stars all around!!!

We loved our stay at Joshua's place. It is a beautifully updated farmhouse with acres and acres for our grandkids to explore, and they did! They're is a fabulous dirt pile with tons of Tonka trucks, old trucks to climb on, lots of logs and rocks to run over, and room to roam. Just perfect for this family from Tennessee! Great way to run off steam after a long drive. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well prepared for families, everything was clean. When I realized how far into the country we were I was worried about bugs, but not a problem at all. Loved all of the original wood, knobs, vents, etc. Joshua even left eggs, bacon, gravy mix, and biscuits for us to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Super helpful host. I didn't find any check out instructions so I hope we didn't disappoint at that. Would love to stay here again.

It was a pleasant surprise and a great space, the arrival surprised us negatively but when we opened the door the space was really different and in very good taste. The city is very peaceful and small. But we had an excellent breakfast right in front of the house and dinner at a typical American bar just a few steps away. It is well worth staying at Brian's place if you are in that area. We regret that our stay was short…
