Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Blowing Rock

We had the best time and loved our view of the slopes from the porch! The pool and hot tub area was so nice and everyone was so friendly. Our son had a great time. It was a very kid friendly environment. Sherrie was an awesome communicator and very sweet. We will definitely be back.

D.J. was a great host! The place was nice and clean and looked just like the pictures posted. It’s in a great location and 12-15 min from Boone and Blowing rock. I will definitely be renting from him again and staying in this particular location. The only complaint I have is that the shower didn’t get at hot as we wanted it to and the upstairs neighbors were a little loud (which was out of the hosts control). Overall, I’d stay here again! The rental unit was exactly as described, and Ryan was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I hope to do so again next time I'm in town.

The instructions given by the host were clear and helpful. The staff at sugar mountain were also super friendly and helpful. I was sooooo glad we got to park at the building and didn’t have to mess with catching a shuttle and all :) so as the helpful notes the hosts sent says, it’s worth asking if you can park behind the building. The place was just as described. Really appreciated the standing fan that was provided. I also LOVED that they provided pool towels, most places don’t do that and that was such a blessing with little ones who love the pool. We also thought the bed was comfy. We hope to come back!

A beautiful, CLEAN & peaceful place to stay!

Definitely a cozy place to stay! Everything was clean and extra stuff were provided. The sofa bed was not as comfortable for older people like me or my friend, but the bed was a dream to sleep in cause our backs didn't hurt by morning! Amazing! And the view out the window is spectacular! We love the balcony which you get to see the summit of Sugar Mountain as well as the town to the north. Easy walk to the ski slope that we did for a day hike in April. The checkout is one of the most simplest to do. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone's trip to Sugar Mountain!

This is a charming and well-maintained condo. We were impressed with the efficient design. Lots of attention to detail has gone into the decor, the furniture, and the general layout. It’s not a big space so making it feel like it isn’t cramped shows how thoughtful the hosts have been. And speaking of, they were probably the most proactive and responsive hosts we’ve stayed with. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Just took my young girls there for their first time skiing and it was a great experience! Ian was very responsive and very friendly. I would highly recommend this place and I look forward to going back! The views and accommodations were amazing!!

Chris was very responsive! He was very friendly and communicative. He offered a later check out since the condo wasn’t rented by anyone else. He also offered an earlier check in because the cleaners were done sooner than expected. The place was as pictured and clean. We were happy! Thanks Chris!

This is our second time at this cabin and it is one of favorite places. Susan even put up a Christmas tree which was wonderful. Will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Beech Retreat!! It was located very close to the ski resort (2-3 min drive), the surrounding mountain areas were beautiful, and the home itself was very cozy and well furnished. We loved using the hot tub, cozying up near the fireplaces, and waking up to deers at the front door :). Next time we make a trip to Beech Mtn, we would love to stay here again!

We had a great stay at Jared's place. Everything was very comfortable -- and the bathrooms and kitchen were super-clean, which was great. It was a very quiet community (winter), and the houses are placed for privacy/good views. The club also had very helpful staff, a nice pool, and a good gym. We were happy there was no ice or snow when we were there, as the driveway is steep. A convenient location related to Boone, Blowing Rock, etc. -- everything seemed about 20 minutes away. Jared was also generous on check-out time for us. And we appreciated the very simple check-out procedure.

Had another enjoyable week at Ross’s Retreat. So much room to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake & Mountain View’s. The 2 kayaks always a plus. Hopefully will be back again next year. Thanks again.

Great place to stay even in the winter ! Walk to the gym and clubhouse or take a short drive to the indoor pool. Great location for skiing or trails, or a quick trip to Blowing Rock.
