Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Blacksburg

This was the perfect, quiet getaway that my husband and I needed. East access,, clear instructions, clean and homey.

Beautiful home in Eggleston. The rooms were cozy and accommodated our party of 8 well! Home had so much character with the fireplace and woodwork. Easy drive to and from Blacksburg. Would definitely stay at your home again and hopefully we get the chance to try out the firepit and The Palisades restaurant which is a few steps away!

Phyllis was an amazing host!! She communicated often and was very friendly. She added nice touches like snacks and water in the kitchen, fresh fluffy towels, and local guides on exploring the area. We were there to visit my son who lived .5 miles from Phyllis so that worked out great. We also walked from Lane stadium - it was a bit of a hike-about 40 minutes, but was totally doable after the game. The cozy apartment is in the lower level of her house and it was very easy to check in and come and go as we needed to. Thank you Phyllis!

Emily’s house was perfect for the two nights we stayed in Roanoke. The house was spotless, very nicely decorated and close to things to do in the area. Wish it was warmer so that we could have enjoyed the outside area, maybe another time. I would definitely recommend staying at Emily’s house.

Kirk’s home is situated in a pristine, bucolic, and scenic spot right on the Little River. We enjoyed several fires on the fire pit right by the river where we watched the stars while the rushing river serenaded us in the background. Great hiking spots nearby and wonderful restaurant options within 15-20 minutes from the property. Food City, a lathe and spotless store for groceries, was ten minutes away in Radford. The house has views of the river from all the large windows throughout the downstairs. The large back porch was great for grilling and enjoying an al fresco meal while taking in the panoramic views. The bathrooms are immaculate and the home was comfortable and met all our needs during our stay. Kirk was a short message away with instructions on how to operate the grill. We cannot wait to return in the summer to do some tubing in the river. I highly recommend Kirk’s beautiful home and property!

We loved our stay. My boyfriend’s birthday was earlier in the week, so we thought it would be fun to do a weekend getaway. This EXCEEDED our expectations. The decor was so cozy and really added to the cabin atmosphere! We were really surprised with everything that was provided ; it felt like we were right at home. Again, we LOVED it and if we’re ever passing through again we would definitely stay again!!

A beautiful place to stay in a safe and welcoming area! I truly enjoyed my stay at Beth's place in Roanoke, VA. Everything was just as she explained to me. The host was very responsive and provided outstanding accommodations. I didn't need anything as everything was in place as stated on her page. The bed was very comfortable for a peaceful rest. And the entire home was clean and spotless. I felt like I was at home away from my home. I will stay in this home in future months to come. We loved this cute studio. Easy to find and a gorgeous country drive. The apartment was well stocked, comfortable, and an absolute steal for the price. The owners were super responsive and kind and the location was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Sweet place, filled with thoughtful touches, from suggestions for local sights and restaurants, to free wifi, info filled binder, nicely outfitted kitchen, and laundry in the space. Rooms were clean with plenty of blankets and towels. Smart TV provided access to Netflix and other streaming services. we were there for a football game so did not linger in town but enjoyed our stay. had a little trouble with the front door lock, you may need a flashlight to see the keypad properly. Front door could use some extra light.

This was probably the fourth time I have stayed here while visiting my daughter at Radford University. It’s an excellent location close to campus.

This is a great location that is near to Martinsville, Roanoke, and Danville. Very clean, well stocked, a nice patio for evenings, with many important amenities and nice touches, and very comfortable! Megan is a great host that communicates very well.

Corey is a gracious host. I found everything to be in order upon my arrival. Access to the property is controlled by key access cards. The apartment is very spacious and the antique hardwood floors are beautiful. I’d highly recommend this space to anyone staying in the Roanoke area.

Very happy with the property. The directions provided by the owners allowed us to access the property easily. All information that we might need was available, such as log in for internet access. We needed to get in touch with the owners to ask a question; messaged them and heard back in less than five minutes. Exactly what you would hope for! Good location, cute part of Martinsville. We visit the area regularly and would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

This was our first stay at an Airbnb.. It was beautiful, and went by too quickly. I hope to come back again in the summer months. Ryan and Danielle answered all of my many questions.

Heather's place was perfect for some much needed R&R. I always look for a hot tub and loved that this one was in a fenced in, private back yard area and just 3 steps out the door. I also found the bed and couches very comfy. It is also in a perfect location, close to everything but also can be in the countryside driving around looking at the beautiful scenery.

We loved the view of the Lake and Mtns. Beautiful surroundings. Relaxing on the deck , reading a few books, just dropping a line from the Pier and having a complete kitchen to make a wonderful supper. Will definitely make it back for another relaxing week.

This Condo was decorated absolutely gorgeous with a nautical feel that I love! Very clean and pristine! The view was spectacular from our balcony to see the lake and the mountains! I can actually say I have not slept that well in a long time in a very comfy bed! Bernard's Landing was top notch, and I am planning on returning! Friendly people in the town and the food was great!
