Caitlin s place is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend with the family. It is rare to find a place where you feel the host welcomed you in their house anymore but caitlin s place is a home away from home. Special shout out for all the amenities such as kayaks and canoes to go on the water and the jacuzzi to relax :)

It’s true that pictures do not do this place justice. Everything was as described and more. We stayed a week & felt completely at home, taking advantage of the fully equipped kitchen, fireplace & hot tub. There were so many little details we loved, from the unique toilet paper holders & wall decor, to the history of the house. The master shower for 2 was gorgeous as well. I just can’t recommend it enough. Deborah was also quickly helpful when we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the fireplace. Thank you Deborah, if we ever return to this area, we would love to stay here again.

We chose Crista’s place for our annual family vacation and it didn’t disappoint! It was a great location with tons to do onsite, so no need to venture out if you don’t want to! We had great, mild November weather for the first few days which allowed us to enjoy the private beach, dock and kayaking around the lake. The home itself was exactly as described and we loved the hot tub and fire pit for smores during the cool fall evenings. Our family likes to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed and we took full advantage of the grill & blackstone. Crista was super responsive and helpful with any and all questions and requests. We would highly recommend this location and look forward to returning to check it out during the Summer!

Very cute, small cottage. Very attractive and in a nice area for walking. We enjoyed it a great deal.

Out of 5 stars, I would give this 6! Everything in the listing is completely accurate. Our group ranged from 2 years old to 55 years old and everyone had amenities to enjoy. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked. Everything was immaculately clean. One of the best surprises was that every bed was comfortable and everyone got great sleep. That was a huge plus. The host was very responsive and we could not have had a better time.

This home was beautiful and I was just sorry that we could only be there for a night. The pictures don’t do it justice. Each of the bedrooms are lovely and the master bath is gorgeous. I highly recommend staying here and hope to be able to come back soon and stay longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful scenery and great little getaway spot for a weekend! Joseph was very hospitable and helpful in making sure we had everything we need. We look forward to hopefully visiting again another time!

This was the perfect place for our family getaway. The house was perfect fit, we had lots of room for everyone. The view was breathtaking. Bessie was an amazing host. She was quick to answer any questions. The house was very well stocked.

We loved our stay at Rebecca's cabin. It was exactly as described and very cozy. It was a bit too cold to enjoy the outdoors area with the stream and fire pit but the hot tub was really nice. Such a great place to get our family together for Thanksgiving. I'd love to come back in the spring and summer to enjoy the outdoors a bit more. Rebecca was very proactive in her communications and responded almost instantly when I had a question about the fireplace. Looking forward to a return trip!

We enjoyed our stay & Branden’s hospitality! The ping pong table, basketball game, fire pit & hot tub provided lots of entertainment for our crew. The space was well updated, decorated & equipped for our group of 2 adults & 5 kids. It’s very remote & peaceful - the views are stunning. It was a great weekend spot for us to enjoy the mountains & make the drive to Blacksburg for a football game. We’d recommend & book again!

The place is great and well stocked. I thought kitchen and dining area were small. We like to cook there and not go out. Otherwise the cabin was very comfortable and much thought was given to the layout. We didn’t use the fire pit as we could find no wood. Maybe I was supposed to supply my own? Unfortunately the road being paved leaves your car extremely dirty and you have to wash off your back window each time you drive in and out. That isn’t something that can be helped but perhaps a heads up would help guests. The lock needs a new battery and took over 15 minutes to get into initially which was difficult late at night. Overall great spot for a short stay, close to VA Tech

By far one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. I have so many good things to say. It’s obvious they spent a lot of time, effort, and thought to make this place the oasis it is. The space screams deliberate intention, resulting in THE coziest ambiance. They even decorated for Christmas! Our favorite activity was sitting out by the fire pit at night and listening to the creek. As someone who always overpacks because “what if I need this random item to make my trip perfect?” I LOVED that they had everything I needed or wanted, and I mean EVERYTHING. I’ve never been more pleased to find out half of what I packed was useless. But most importantly to me, the bed was comfortable and the home was pristine.

Rustic cabin splendor in the mountains on the river with a dock! Went for Thanksgiving/Christmas get together with family. The views were gorgeous! Wonderful great room for chilling, watching movies, playing board games, cards or on the arcade machines. Two comfortable loft bedrooms (main loft bedroom had a stunning view) and 2 cozy off the kitchen bedrooms. Two bathrooms and a stackable washer/dryer. Eat in kitchen with a dishwasher. Kitchen stocked with plenty of cookware to make our Thanksgiving meal. So peaceful and quiet to go out on the deck to drink your coffee in the morning or wine in the evening watching the river and mountainside and sunrise or sunset. Relax in the hot tub on the deck. Down at the dock use the fire pit for making smores or fish off the dock. The terrain is steep, beware for the klutzes like me who fell. Great family memories made!

We absolutely LOVED this place & our Thanksgiving stay here! The main home exceeded our expectations in that it felt more like a lake cabin than we expected, was extremely clean & cozy & had TONS of kitchen amenities. We spent so much time outside even in the cold, it was wonderful. Our pup loved playing fetch up & down the hill & taking long walks around the neighborhood & I loved sitting on the dock watching the water & beautiful view in the peace & quiet! This house really has everything & if you can’t find something, Taylor is extremely responsive & helpful. A few small things we liked: the high deck chairs make it easy to see the great views, lots of towels/blankets & it smelled clean at check in! The fire pit & hot tub were also great. We didn’t make much use of the basement, but I’m sure it’s a great space for kids. If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing cozy getaway, this is it! I never wanted to leave!
