“Over three months, staying at 4 different places in the greater Bardstown area, this was a quiet respite from a busy temporary work assignment. Not hungry enough for a full meal? Grab a snack from the coffee tray. Somebody spilled their grape juice? No problem for the washer and dryer. A cozy little cottage for weary tourists or local travelers.”
The bourbon Loft is close to restaurants and dining, nightlife, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love the loft because of the coziness, the high ceilings, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
“We had a wonderful stay for 5 days. It is the perfect location-- in fact, I believe they should update their picture to show the super cool burger joint that's now downstairs! The entrance to the loft is right next to it in the FRONT (I only add this because we stayed at another last year and the entrance was in the back-- so we looked in the back for a little while as a way to get in) The area is beautiful- for a VERY busy street-- it was pretty quiet during our stay. I think it helps that the bedroom is towards the back of the loft. The house was located up a tall set of stairs that was no issue for us. Ample supplies were available in the kitchen-- really appreciated the paper plates! Very close walk to many amazing restaurants (Mammy's, Café Primo, Bardstown Burger, Pat's Place, The Old Talbott Tavern, Alexander Bullitt's) and quick drive to A LOT of distilleries nearby. Even a quick 5 minute walk and you're at the Old Bardstown/Civil War Museum. Parking was ample. *Sometimes* you could smell the onions being grilled from downstairs in the bathroom- which was not overwhelming. We just noted it and laughed about it occasionally. The toilet is pretty close to the wall so if you're a tall person- this may be difficult. I'm 5'8" and it was close but OK. If you're not high maintenance- you can just turn a little. For the price, we'd stay here a million times. Great location, well stocked, beautiful area.”
Charming historic home in downtown Bardstown, short walk to all the Bourbon Festival activities. This is the first unit of a 2 unit rental. Voted most beautiful town in America Central located on the bourbon trail Just two blocks from historic downtown Bardstown with great shops and dining
“What a location to all that is Bourbon Country. Our stay at the Davis House was for four nights and we found the charm and warmth of the house wonderfully welcoming and comfortable. The location to the town center is spot on and an easy walk; cold in February, but an easy walk. The Oscar Getz Museum is close by and presents a great history of bourbon. The staff very knowledgeable and friendly. The Blind Pig store and Blind Pig Speakeasy are great haunts. The houses location to the local distilleries is prime indeed. And if you are looking for something truly wonderful and seemingly out of place make reservations for dinner at Bottle & Bond Kitchen & Bar - Bardstown Bourbon Company. What a fantastic local find. Great food, coupled with great staff (helpful and knowledgeable), and tasty cocktails warmed us on a cold winters evening. Oh, and try breakfast at Pat’s Place. Very local and very tasty eats can be found here. As our future travels permit, I believe that Bardstown is due for a repeat visit and .A’s Davis House is on the list as our place to stay.”
