Villa vacation rentals in Bacalar Lagoon

We had a wonderful stay at Sally’s place. The property is beautiful, the house has so many decorative details and the best part for us was the bridge into the water and swimming in crystal clear water. We weren’t missing anything at all, can recommend to everyone!!

We had a great stay at the villa in Bacalar! The house and property are absolutely beautiful, with great design and everything spotlessly clean. The pool is amazing. It’s close to the lagoon, and access to the nearby beach club was a lovely bonus. Bacalar is just a 10-minute drive away. Our host Katy was fantastic — she helped us book a stunning sailing tour and even arranged an in-house massage. There’s also a small shop on the property for essentials. Highly recommended — we’d definitely come back! We loved our stop in Bacalar.

If you are looking for tranquility, isolating yourself from society and a good rest, it is the place! Very nice, very pleasant and very comfortable. They really take advantage of being in the middle of nowhere and will enjoy it. All are attentive in Aqua Viva They're gonna love it!

The photos don't do the place justice, it's definitely much better live, it's super comfortable, quite nice, you finally feel very quiet. The pool is sensational and in general the space as the common areas are beautiful. I hope to be back soon, because the place deserves to dedicate at least two dis to relax at 1000! I hope the next guests read this and know that they will have an amazing time. The only thing strange is that the night manager, which is a little strange, sometimes very friendly and at other times very serious 😐 or flat not attentive, however he does his function and does not bother you.

The place was very spacious and very clean. The staff are very friendly Katy is very responsive.

Great place to get away from everything, very peaceful and quiet. Pool is a great feature. 20 min drive to Bacalar so not too far away.

Overall, the place is in a cool location and it’s peaceful and quiet. The private dock and kayaks are good too. Ton of space. The beds are super comfy and the bottom bedrooms open right up to the dock. It’s about 30 min from bacalar so renting a car is a must. Good communication during the stay The only cons really are the ants, if you leave food out for a second they will swarm. Would recommend if you have the funds

Our stay was pleasant. What I liked the most was the privacy and security of the place. The host was always attentive, the people in charge of the place were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was a disadvantage was the location, since it is 30 minutes from Bacalar and we were not able to see more places, but other than that it is a very nice, quiet and very private accommodation. You rest very well 😌🥰

A dream holiday home! What a view to wake up to. And the space is wild, so many birds (they’ll wake you up!), and we saw a fox, monkeys, many butterflies and more. The lake is gorgeous, we took the kayaks and paddle boards and it was a great experience. The stars at night are so beautiful - make sure to check out the rooftop! We used the kitchen and all essentials were there, it’s well equipped. Everything is as described, just note that the fourth bedroom is really really small (we didn’t use it).

I'm speechless and can confirm it's a place I'll definitely get to. There is not something that is not worth it. Thank you for everything

The house is beautiful, we liked that it is very spacious and has a very nice dock, and a small pool above the house where we could see the stars

let me tell you we felt like movie stars in this place. the house was beyond beautiful , it was 8 of we split up into two and each couple had there own space with their own bathrooms & there was still a lot of space unused ,it was private ,secure ,with beautiful lagoon in the back yard beyond our expectations. Bartolo the house manager was extremely helpful, kind and received us with a smile he was there for whatever we needed , then there is Mirna she is in charge of cleaning the house she kept the house clean everyday and always showed up with a smile she was extremely helpful ,having a clean space everyday made the house enjoyable even more than it already was . They got us in contact with a private chef and his crew they were amazing food was great and worth the price . We accidentally left a wallet behind and between Bartolo Diego and Pedro they got it back to me Al the way to Tulum with everything in it can’t be more thankful for the best experience of our life .

Super clean and with spectacular views. I would only recommend a community kitchen area in case you want to prepare your own food. Everything else was excellent!!

We had a great few days, the place is better than the pictures. I loved amenities like coffee. There's good internet and the pool is wonderful. Maybe just the mattresses on the beds, because they're spring mattresses, are a little noisy. But I will definitely return.

An excellent place, very accessible, very friendly hosts and super close to the Lagoon

Highly recommended, it really exceeds expectations. We didn't use the pool because we were always out. The only reason I didn't rate the location as excellent is to take into account that this beautiful place is only good for those who bring a car or enough money to spend on taxis. If you plan to walk to the beach club, it will take you approximately 25 minutes. By car, 5 minutes. But the stay was spectacular. There were problems that were immediately fixed by the reception. If you ask, what? The refrigerator didn't cool because a previous guest had moved it and we didn't notice, and the food, which was meat, was a little ugly but not inedible. Besides, the power went out for a while and this was unrelated to the facilities. When we saw that it wasn't coming back and that it was going to get dark, we just left. Other than that, everything was fine 👌

A real oasis to relax and unwind. Especially perfect for families. We felt really comfortable in aqua viva. The place itself was really nicely decorated and clean. The beds are a little harder for those for whom it is important to know. You need a car if you stay there. There is hardly anything around it except forest, which is why you drive a bit through the forest to the accommodation. However, you can easily order groceries and meals from restaurants to the accommodation. By car you can also easily get to Bacalar itself quickly. Be sure to book a boat tour. The Bacalar Lagoon is just beautiful!

An excellent place to rest, lots of privacy, staff with a lot of availability to answer questions and details, I would definitely go back to the place

Omg! I can’t say enough about Aqua Viva, Kate, and her staff. Our villa was fantastic and peaceful and just what the dr ordered for our trip. You will have everything you need between the stocked villa and Kate’s help. Private yoga in the gym, cacao ceremony with Shanti, Temazcal ceremony with Rodrigo, in villa massages, laundry service, and the lil tienda on site for snacks/drinks/eggs. Great restaurants in town. The lagoon is MAGIC! Drive to town in less than 10 mins - easy peasy. We will be back! Thank you Kate.

The place is absolutely nice: comfortable, spacious and perfect for families and friends alike. I traveled with my children and my parents, and we were all very comfortable with the facilities. In addition, the host's directions and recommendations were clear and very helpful. I highly recommend it, we are more than satisfied!
