“We stayed here for the night of our wedding and then for two additional nights as well. This was a very relaxing getaway and yet so conveniently close to the Twin Cities as well. Joe and Kris were so friendly, warm and welcoming. They made us instantly feel like old friends from the moment we met them. We enjoyed conversations with their family and loved petting their 3 sweet and calm dogs. The Boathouse was stocked with all the utensils, plates and bowls we needed. We were grateful that the outhouse was so close by and so clean. The shower and sink were also very clean and we did not mind walking to them at all. The Boathouse had a large fridge freezer, a microwave and a toaster. Since we were able to store all of our food in the fridge and freezer, we never needed to leave for more food or to eat out. Joe and Kris ensured the temperature was exactly how we wanted it and that any and all of our other needs were met as well. It was evident that they care about the people who stay with them. Joe lit a fire for us with his propane torch and Kris insisted on making our wedding night special with flowers, champagne and chocolate. We also took advantage of the hot tub, bean bag game, hammock and chairs on the dock. We are already looking forward to coming back here again for our wedding anniversary!! Thanks Joe and Kris for the magical weekend!”

“Mary's place is absolutely precious! She and Scott are incredibly sweet and welcoming. The house was spotless, and I loved the heated floors!! They have some beautiful antiques too, which were so fun to look at! They had everything we could possibly have needed! I was planning on going to the store to get orange juice and water bottles, but they had already provided that for us. Scott even made banana chocolate chip bread for us, which was to die for! Mary is so quick to respond to communication, and she is so sweet and hospitable! Also, watching the dogs, Tess and Nora, play in the snow, was so much fun! They are adorable!! I am so glad I found this house. We will definitely be staying there again! I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone! You will not be disappointed!”
This beautiful little cabin sits on the water edge on Indian Lake. Great Lake to fish on. There is a swimming raft that you can swim to along with a paddle boat. The cabin was just rebuilt. We also have an ice house for winter rentals and great access to snowmobile trails. This is a small place on a septic system with only 2 vehicle parking.
“Wonderful stay at Cast Away Cabin on Indian Lake. Location - Close to the metro area, easy to find and 15 mins to grocery store. Cabin - Cute and well appointed with all of the basics. Exactly how it appears in the photos. Outdoor Spaces - Nice big deck right near the water. Seating area and fire pit are great spots to relax. Lake is small and easy to navigate. Loved that it was small as it was very windy during our stay and could still go on a boat ride. Nice for water sports and observed many people fishing. Definitely would recommend staying at Cast Away Cabin!”
