Vacation rentals with a kayak in Yorkshire

Perfect hosts that made me feel more than welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Gorgeous comfy bed and having your own private bathroom and sitting room was a bonus. Super choice for breakfast. Delicious homemade bread and jams. Would 100% recommend Jo and Ians place for a stay in Kendal.

We had a 3 generational stay at Chantry cottage. The location was peaceful and quiet with a pleasant view of fields and sheep, and the cottage itself was delightful. The garden space worked well for our 2 yr old to run and play with a ball whilst having 2 reception spaces provided plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped for eating in with a lovely eating space opening onto the garden. Nice outside tables and chairs for warm weather dining. The bedrooms were cosy and comfortable and 2 bathrooms were appreciated. All in all it worked beautifully for our whole family and we certainly plan a return visit. Shanie and Tom were friendly, helpful and provided useful information and directions and were prompt in responding to queries. What more could you want!

We had the BEST weekend here and are already looking to book again! It was so peaceful and also lots to do - we must have done everything! Ping pong, darts, kayaking, bbq, swing ball etc. Our two little dogs had a lovely time too. Only issue we had was flies, so will bring citronella candles next time

Excellent hosts. They even arranged an additional bed proactively knowing we were a family of 2 kids. Though we came there prepared to use the sofa bed in living room, thanks to them both our kids could sleep on proper beds. Place looks better than the pictures. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend them

We had an amazing time cottage is beautiful. The location is stunning. The garden is safe and enclosed for the dogs. The owners are lovely, thoughtful and always making sure we were ok. We will definitely be going back for longer! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay, the location is fantastic, just a short walk down to the lake to swim and kayak. The views are stunning and the cafe serves fabulous food. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, would highly recommend for a get away from it all holiday.

My kids love the Swallows and Amazons books so to be able to stay here was truly like being in a storybook. The accommodation itself was a great balance between keeping the old world charm but with a modern touch. We came in winter and it was great, we hope to be back one year in summer.

Highly recommend the cottages. You will have all you require for a comfortable stay. Great for pets, super walking space and the bonus of being able to purchase fresh eggs. The air display from RAF Leeming is fantastic. Super choice of games to use and great pub with amazing food just down the road which is also pet friendly too. Lovely places to visit nearby.

A hidden gem,spacious throughout, kitchen great size and very well equipped.Separate laundry and games room available, great for after dinner entertainment ! Idyllic location, beautiful garden, short stroll to lake shore with canoes for hire from owner, we had fabulous time canoeing. Walking,biking,boating on the doorstep we didnt use the cars the whole weekend. We highly recommend this property you won't be disappointed !!!

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful private location. Feels miles from anywhere but you can walk to a pub easily! Great host and a place at a great price.... you even get a chicken greeting team thrown in for free ! ...Just book to find out you will not be disappointed!

A gorgeous bolt hole for three weeks of blissful walks and peace. The private access to the lake was great for us as swimmers; easy to get home and warm up! I really liked the laundry room after our walks - could was and dry clothes really easily. Comfortable bed, kitchen perfect for self catering and relaxing sofa and tv and bath at the end of the day.

We had a lovely stay at Millers Cottage, which was our base for a wedding over the long weekend. There was everything we needed for the children - cot, high chair, stair gate - which made travelling much easier for us, and the outside space and play equipment was great. The cottage itself was comfortable and spacious, perfect for our family of 6. The cottages are in a beautiful location, with incredible views and yet so accessible from the A1. We would definitely book again!

A girls night away in the cabins and we wanted to stay forever longer! When we arrived we were so shocked by how stunning it was, so quiet with only the sound of the river and the most stylish cabins and good sized hot tub. It had everything we could've needed and a very high tech air fryer. Anthony was very responsive and friendly and came out in the evening to fix a lightbulb for us. The hot tub was beautifully clean and a lovely temperature. I have sent links to all my friends and family because you must see this place! Thank you so much, and we will be back! Xx

I loved my stay at Riverside Cabins it was beautiful and peaceful and everything we needed! We are going to make this our annual anniversary because it’s just everything you need for a romantic stay! It was so clean there was absolutely no faults what so ever!

We stayed at Riverside Cabins as a surprise for my husband's birthday. From the time of booking, with help to have balloons in the cabin prior to our arrival, to organising the hot tub to warm up quicker as we were only staying for 1 night, everyone was so friendly, accommodating & extremely helpful! I couldn't recommend this place enough! The location is no more than perfect! It was a freezing cold night (-2 i think) which gave us the beautifully clear skies on which to view the stars from the hot tub. I couldn't think of a better place to have been on such a perfect night! Luckily we live local so will definitely be staying again and I have already recommended Riverside Cabins to my family and friends. The cabin was clean, warm and cosy, well equiped & beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. Loved it! I would say more but I'm running out of the allocated number of characters! Quick you need to book before you miss out on experiencing such a perfect location! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an excellent place. Anthony has gone to exceptional lengths to make this the kind of place that he himself would have wanted to holiday in. The grounds are vast, the chalets are well spaced out, there is a sense of real peace and tranquility - the sound of running water from the nearby river, birds chirping, nearby woodland, stand up paddle boards and sit on canoes available to borrow free of charge to meander down the river with. The accommodation itself is very well thought out and very good quality. Even in the compact chalet which we were in there was a large walk in shower and plenty of covered space outside in which we could have our meals and relax. Hot tub is well maintained and was already warmed for our arrival. We came here to have a base from which to take part in the Ultimate Triathlon at Ellesmere. We'll certainly come back and stay here again next time.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, easily one of the nicest if not the nicest AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in. Great amenities for 4 adults and a big big hot tub! It was so peaceful being able to look out of the windows / decking and watch the wildlife too. Can’t wait to revisit, thankyou!
