This is a great spot for a romantic getaway or as a more relaxing alternative to a hotel when staying near family. It was cute, quiet, clean, and private. The hosts were extremely attentive and helpful.

Amazing little property, amazing amenities, such a cute designed cabin, and the best this ever a S'mores kit!!! A littlw trouble with the hot tub but hoat were reaponsive to offer a solution! We look forward to staying there again!

My family and I love this place. This was our second time booking. The scenery and privacy is amazing. Perfect location for us to stay close to family who live in the area. We will 100% be visiting again. Harriette makes everything simple for check-in and check-out. Highly recommended. Get the real feel of peace and tranquility in a cozy cabin while only being minutes from town. You will not be disappointed.

This place is a gem! Quiet peaceful surroundings! Walkable to cider tasting room. Close to Hillsborough. Screened in porch was a joy at night! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful property. Beautifully done restoration. Very quiet and peaceful setting, but within minutes to downtown Durham. Josh was quick to respond, and the property matched the pictures. The yard was a perfect addition for our furry family member. Would definitely stay there again.

Our 3-night stay at Legacy Lodge Bunkhouse in Windsor, NC, was a delightful escape to celebrate my wife’s and son’s birthdays. The bunkhouse kept our two kids entertained with games, toys, an air hockey table, and bunk beds our son adored. Outside, a mini paradise awaited: multiple fire pits (unlimited wood for $30, highly recommended), play areas, and a covered concrete space perfect for rollerblading and scootering. We enjoyed the wood-fired pizza oven and grilled steaks, though the propane grill needs a deep clean. The thoughtful birthday gifts and decorations for our son, plus a “Honk, it’s my birthday!” sign by host Deena (explaining the passing cars’ honks), added such a warm touch. This peaceful retreat is ideal for families or anyone seeking serenity. We’d absolutely recommend it!

OUTSTANDING!!! I would live there if I could! Liz was VERY responsive within 5 min max while I was there. The home itself is so cute, clean, comfortable and the area is quiet. I had everything I needed and all of the instructions were very detailed and easily understood. The first night it rained and the sound on the roof could of put me to sleep. The outside fenced in area was comfortable and if I had of brought my pet it would of been enough room for him to play and do his business. This is by far my favorite place and host!! If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay this is where to go. My boyfriend and I stayed for his birthday and we’re already looking for when to come back. There’s a nice fireplace to sit at and make some smores (there was firewood already there as well), a sauna to sit and relax in after going on trails, fishing poles were provided, and if you’re into cooking Anne had everything you need to make a great meal. We also have a puppy and i appreciated that pets were welcome he loved his stay too:)

A peaceful and quiet retreat- my dog and I felt right at home. This was just what we needed while visiting one of my adult children who is battling a severe health issue and being treated at UNC hospitals. Our hope is to return once a month to this wooded oasis.

Cathy’s place was extremely casual and well lived in. We felt right at home. I love that you could spread out. Everything was clean. I love the bonus of the back deck where we could sit and have happy hour every night. Thanks so much.

We live close by and reserve Diane & Peter’s cottage whenever my parents come to town. My mom is particular about beds, bedding & pillows and says that these are very comfortable. My dad’s only complaint was that there are no curtains on the windows but the cabin isn’t close to anyone and well shaded by the trees. I don’t think most people would have an issue. It’s well built, clean, bright and has quality furnishing throughout.

A+ space. Even better than the photos, this is a unique and charming spot. Peaceful and fun. Don’t hesitate, book this place if it is available.

I had a wonderful stay in your cabin! The place was exactly as described-cozy, clean, and well-stocked with everything I needed. The peaceful surroundings made for a perfect getaway, and the scenic (deer, ducks, geese and the raccoon in the wood line and near the pond) view was a huge bonus. The host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in super easy. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet time!!

This cabin is bright and cozy, the environs idyllic, and Daniel was extremely responsive and went the extra mile checking in on us when snow was predicted before our stay and making sure the steps were de-iced and the boot tray was handy. very comfortable and convenient!

I was pleasantly surprised with Melody’s tiny cabin it looked exactly like the photos, better honestly, and even had a little loft (not pictured) that would be perfect for kids if you brought along an air mattress. We came to visit our daughter and go to the ECU football game. The hotels around were full and what was left were so expensive. This little cabin was worth the price and only a 30 minute drive from the college. My only suggestion would be to reach out before you arrive and ask them to turn on the air conditioner. It was hot in the cabin when we arrived late at night, but there were so many windows with screens that we were able to open and it cooled off fast from the cool night air! We would definitely like to stay again on our next visit to ECU if the cabin is available!

This place was exactly what we were looking for…. A romantic getaway close to our home was the perfect escape… we found a new restaurant close by and made the best of our stay. We will definitely be back

They cabin was so cozy, we felt right at home! We loved the inside and outside. This is perfect for a couples getaway. They have a fireplace, we didn’t have to use it but will be great! Everything about this is amazing. Bonnie is great at communicating! The pictures of the cabin, does not do it justice! The cabin, is amazing!

Beautiful home, very private! Easy check in and check out. They had added cute little touches as well, like local food items! That was a great surprise! The hosts were excellent with communication and very nice people. I would definitely recommend this listing.
