Beach house vacation rentals in Whitby

We had a lovely weekend at Jo's place. The location is perfect, walkable to the seafront, the castle and the town and the view from the top bedroom in particular was fabulous. The house is very well laid out and immaculate. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and also for socialising whilst eating. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. Jo had thought of every detail and the welcome pack was a real treat. Thank you Jo, I don't think this could have been any better.

Harry was the perfect host ! Even though we didn’t meet Harry , We was arriving earlier so asked if we could check in early and it was no problem at all !! The house was perfect for us all including the dog clear instructions on how the heating worked and to get in the property ! Very fast at replying to any questions we had ! Perfect location as it’s only 5/10 mins to the beach/front , We have a lovely New Year’s Eve with our family there in Harry’s lovely home ! Thank you so very much Harry

1A is a credit to both Ian & Sarra. The property is perfect for 4 adults with each bedroom having it's own bathroom with another WC for emergencies downstairs! The presentation of the property is 1st class with you wanting for nothing. Ian & Sarra really have thought about everything. As an EV driver the ability to charge on site at anytime, at a very reasonable rate, was a bonus. The location was perfect for us, just a 10min stroll to the harbour providing your happy to tackle the Khyber Pass!.. a lot easier than the one in Pakistan!! We have no hesitation in recommending this property and it's location to anyone who wants a relaxing enjoyable stay in Whitby.

Wow! What an amazing place this is. Just as seen on the pictures. Beautifully furnished, the hosts have thought of everything you might need for your stay. The location is right on the beach with access to Filey and other places only a short drive away. Vanda is a great host. She was really flexible with our requests for extra time to check out and responds quickly. We will be back!

Fabulous home from home and everything has been thought of. Excellent location and hosts were proactive and clear in their instructions for check in and check out. Baby was catered for with all safety equipment provided. Thank you for making our getaway special!

We really loved the place very quiet…easy access to beach ….. enjoyed are walks to the beach and surrounding places, we also enjoyed the Italian gardens and walking up to the Scarborough Castle, which were lovely views. Thank you Jennifer for the lovely place.

From check in to when we left was 100% perfect, definitely be rebooting to stay again. Highly recommend

Maxine was extremely friendly throughout & check-in was seamless. The cottage is immaculate & parking was easy. Loads of games & dvds at the cottage to keep the kids entertained. Great location, with a small shop, pub, pharmacy & leisure centre nearby. Would definitely recommend!!

We had a great stay and my young kids adored the nice collection of books and toys to play with. Everything was as described and very comfortable!

Fantastic stay at Seaspray. Richard sent very helpful instructions before we arrived, not only detailing the check in and how to find the property, but everything we could have needed to make us feel at home. The home was beautiful and we were always warm. The weather turned up for us so we were able to make use of the great location for walls and the sea. You are very close to Filey and with Scarborough and Bridlington only slightly further, so we fit in all 3. We will be coming back. Wonderful state would definitely recommend

What a beautiful place to stay. We throughly enjoyed our stay, the hosts made everything so clear for us, the house was spotless we couldn’t fault it. It was the little things like having toys for the kids to play with was amazing and the coffee machine with pods was a welcome surprise. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, thank you!

Andrée was so warm, friendly and accommodating. The house is absolutely stunning, spacious, clean, well maintained and is SO well equipped. The house had absolutely everything a family might need at the beach, including chairs, beach toys, an array of outdoor games, parasols, beach mats…the list goes on! An amazing selection of board games in the house too. The location is incredible too. My children adored the house and we can’t wait to come back again soon.

The house is situated beside the river Esk under a stunning viaduct. As if that couldn't be more picturesque, steam trains run underneath on the opposite side of the river. A 30 minutes walk along the top of the viaduct (giving amazing views) lead you straight into Whitby. The town is busy and the Abbey Wharf pub which is on the river front allows children and dogs up till 9pm. The food is amazing. Whitby Abbey is expensive but totally worth visiting. It's the iconic focal point of the town and is accessed from the famous 199 steps which gives great photo opportunities! We paid the £20 for a weeks access to the pool which is a 3 minutes walk away. The pool was brilliant for the kids. The house was comfortable, but could have don't with a few minor "extras" like USB points and a drying rack for clothes, and the shower would be a struggle for anyone tall, but was otherwise a great place to stay! Recommended!

This spacious and spotlessly clean property had everything we needed and more! The location was perfect, a few minutes walk from the beach and a few hundred yards from a big Tescos

This is a great home to share with friends and family, and from some rooms, has a view of Peaseholm Park. Plenty of on street parking, with the use of a scratch card that was left for each car (we had 3). There were a few niggles that we reported to David, and he responded straight away and why overall I gave 5 stars. I have left 5 stars on the cleanliness of it, but whilst surface clean, I thought it needed a more deeper clean, skirting boards, trying to remove some older stains in the bathroom etc. But don't let this put you off, and we would 100% stay here again.

Perfect location, walking distance to beach, pubs, restaurants. The house had everything we needed and more. welcome basket with the prosecco and biscuits was a nice touch aswell. Will definitely like to return.

Just arrived home after a fantastic few days with family at Hellen’s property. The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Hellen has thought of everything so the property has everything and more that you could need. We were a group of 7 (5 adults 2 children) and it was the perfect size for us. We didn’t have great weather so spent a lot of the time in the house playing games and chilling out and it felt like a home away from home. It’s in a great location for all the shops and restaurants and also the beach and sea front attractions. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back again in the future!

What a beautiful place! We stayed as a family of 6 adults and 5 children, the children ranged in age from 15-3 and the house suited everyone. The kids loved the garden and the grandparents loved the places you could go for a little relax. The view from the top back bedroom is a beautiful sea view - just fabulous. The location is perfect for Runswick Bay beach and a walk along the Cleveland Way. It’s also a short drive to Sandsend and Staithes. The property is immaculate and is very well equipped for everything you might need. Highly recommended .

Beach Approach House is one of the nicest airbnbs I have ever stayed in! Beautifully clean, equipped to a very high standard, with quality bedding and towels, and so many touches that made it really special. The outside space is amazing, and the house is in a perfect location for beach and cliff walks. Kerry was super helpful and responsive. Highly recommended and we would love to return to Filey and Beach Approach House.

Beautiful property in a perfect location. The beach is accessible via steps right across the road from the property. The views were sublime and we sat in the window seat or on the front veranda of an evening rather than watch TV. We had everything we needed and there was a good sized Sainsbury's at the end of the road. The parking space was right outside the back door. We were travelling with three kids under 10 and they were very happy with the range of toys and games, plus there were lots of kids books in the smallest bedroom. The decor was well thought out with lovely touches everywhere that made us smile. We will definitely return to this fab, cheerful house.

Great location and exactly what you need as a base to explore the Yorkshire Coast and Countryside from. Plenty of on street parking and local eateries, plus Sainsbury’s local close by.
