Vacation rentals with lake access in West Devon District

The lodge was in a beautiful setting, perfect for families, a lovely safe environment. The accommodation itself was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were lovely, with towels and toiletries included. Upstairs was particularly spacious with amazing views. The hosts kindly provided us with initial provisions, like tea and coffee. It’s a great base to explore the surrounding area, and a lovely space to return to. I would definitely recommend this beautiful holiday home, and would return with my family.

Alan’s place was a great getaway and was really close to many local beaches and nice food spots.

We enjoyed a last minute weekend break at Slipway in Fowey with our children. Great location with lovely views over the estuary . Parking at carpark nearby. The house was nice and restful after a long journey. The garden had nice far reaching views. Lots of recommendations for local restaurants and things to do locally.

We had a great 4 night break at the Old Dairy. I would say that it’s the prettiest house in the village. We enjoyed walking down to Blackpool Sands and found the walk both ways relaxing and easy. We also walked the coastal path to Dartmouth castle and then took the little boat into Dartmouth and caught the bus back. All very easy to navigate and rewarding to leave the car behind. We did Sauna and Sea at Blackpool Sands which we loved and found deeply relaxing. We spend a day visiting Salcombe and had a good wander around Dartmouth. The Old Dairy is in such a pretty spot it’s enough to soak up the scenery and enjoy the house, wander down to the pretty beach, grab a coffee and lunch from the village shop and enjoy a picnic in the garden. We would love to return!

Well presented cottage with everything you would need for a long weekend in a beautiful location. Host/s were very helpful and accommodating from start to finish. Had the most perfect weekend! Location is beautiful and amazing area, the hideaway itself was even more beautiful than the photos show. It was a delightful stay and would love to stay here again! Private lake and hot tub were great fun and board games provided also! It feels private, peaceful and quiet but you’re also less than 10 minutes drive away from beach and pubs when you want to explore - no matter what it is you’re looking for - the hideaway has it all, couldn’t recommend enough. Pollyanna was super helpful and even came and helped us check in after we were stuck in loads of traffic! Thank you Pollyanna x

Badgers House was the perfect venue and location for a large family break. House was well equipped and comfortably furnished. The indoor pool proved a knockout with the children - especially as the weather wasn’t great! The indoor games room was a hit for the male adults, who enjoyed hours of pool, and they hit the gym too. The woodland walk was perfect, we spotted a male deer, the children loved it! Hide and seek in the house was so exciting and kept the little ones entertained for hours! Thank you to Max and Alex for being superb hosts and giving us this beautiful home and setting to enjoy. Our granddaughter broke her heart to have to leave! We will definitely be returning and may need Toad Hall next time for more family members to come along and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful place.

We had such a wonderful week in Berry Pomeroy. The accommodation was a wing of a manor house, and had a completely private and secluded feel with an enormous garden. The kids were entertained the whole week with a trampoline, row boat, chess set, table tennis, games room and a lovely garden to explore. We just loved the main Kitchen/Dining/Living room which is an elegant and very comfortable space to socialise, and even with 9 of us it felt so spacious! This accommodation feels like a home from home. Antonia and Rob were so helpful and responsive and they were ideal hosts. There are plenty of different areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings outside. The property is a little tricky to find but as long as you follow the instructions carefully its fine. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to return again.

We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable apartment. The bed is one of the best we've slept in. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Very close to beautiful walks and amenities. Only slight negative was the noise early in the morning when staff are preparing breakfast for the BandB guests in the main residence but we were not put off by this. We will definitely be returning.

What a lovely lovely house for a quick or long stay. Beautiful apartment decorated so nicely and extremely clean. The host was extremely helpful and very welcoming and answered the phone very quickly to any problems. Definitely recommend :)

Jo and Graham are great hosts. My dog and I felt welcome immediately. Very good amenities and beautiful surroundings. They went above and beyond for me.

We had a fantastic time. The accommodation was clean and tidy, the views were delightful. the children enjoyed playing in the games room, meeting the animals and relaxing in the hot tub. The hosts were kind, friendly and engaging and made our stay a delight.

absolutely amazing place to stay felt right at home first place we have stayed where we had different things already provided we packed lots to come with us tea sugar coffee dish cloths fairy liquid so we was stunned to see that all this was already provided we had a fantastic stay Debby & Grant was amazing from booking to getting home we will definitely book through you again and be back beautiful caravan in the perfect spot close to the heart of everything thank you both me my partner and children had the best time and made amazing memories 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Cannot fault this place and if this is the area you wish to visit, this is the place to stay. The loft is spotless with ample room and a lovely sunrise over the lake across the road is not to be missed. Jen is a terrific host and extremely friendly and approachable. She is proactive in the communication and offers extremely helpful advice on directions and things to do in the area. I will be looking to go back to the area again later this summer and will certainly be looking to stay with Jen again!

A beautiful cottage in very peaceful surroundings, lots of character and spotlessly clean. A warm indoor pool which my Grandchildren loved. A well stocked lake which my partner took full advantage of and children’s swings and a trampoline. The cottage was like a home from home with thoughtful provisions. The cottage was spotless furnished with transitional furniture and a lovely safe garden with stunning views. Sophia was an excellent host, giving recommendations and answering queries promptly. We will certainly be returning to this little piece of paradise.

This is a perfect cottage in a perfect spot. We have loved coming here again. Everything was great with the accomodation, well equiped, comfy beds, love the log burner, really appreciate the parking permit. Nothing negative to say, wish I lived here. Thanks for a great stay.

Karen’s and Steve’s place is in a beautiful location. Lots of beautiful scenery and animals walking around in the huge garden The animals are very friendly and extremely quiet. The property is a beautiful cottage with lovely views. Secure rear garden for our little dog to walk around talking to the chickens and ducks and geese etc. Steve and Karen were extremely helpful and made you feel very welcome. Made for a relaxing weekend stay which is exactly what we wanted.

Hosts were super easy to communicate with and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Great accommodation, had everything you could possibly need with some lovely extra touches as well

Clean, cosy, peaceful home. As described and looks like the photos. Sandra was friendly and proactive in communication giving us great tips for the dog friendly pubs. Perfect base for us visiting local friends but wanting a bit of space and privacy & the added bonus of dog treats ready for our pampered puppy. All made for a great stay.

Had a fabulous stay at Olivia’s Orchard cottage. Lots to do with farm animals around, Games room, outdoor games and lots of walks to relax and unwind at the property. Property was in proximity to Plymouth and Looe and found it very convenient to explore by car from here.

We really enjoyed our stay, lots to enjoy in the surrounding areas. Great hosts and appreciated the Prosecco & goodies they left for us. Eggs from the farm were a nice touch too. Our 9 year old daughter absolutely loved the farm animals & all the cats. We will be returning.

Sally was a great host - the cottage was as described, clean and tidy, and perfectly peaceful, really off the beaten track. However, there was good access to to the local North Cornwall coast, and we spent a lot of time at nearby Bude which has fab beaches. The location is perfect if you are looking for a secluded getaway, and the hot tub an excellent way to spend an afternoon. Sally was responsive, helpful and very knowledgeable! She even left a lovely easter egg hunt around the cottage for our children - thank you, Sally!
