What a lovely cottage. It's quiet, modern and spotlessly clean. Perfect location for everything so a short walk to the pubs and restaurants but also a lovely walk to the lakes. Such a pretty village. Definitely recommend.

Ruth's place was the perfect spot for our weekend away. Great location, easy access to the A1, pub next door and several walks on the doorstep. The annexe is very well equipped and Ruth has thought of all the extras that make the stay a real home from home and great if you've forgotten to bring anything. The private garden is lovely, even in January and a wonderful spot to watch the birds come and go. Ruth's breakfast supplies are generous and we loved how she checked in with us beforehand to find out our preferences. A fabulous find!

Me and my 4 year old and our sausage dog had a wonderful stay. Sophie kindly let us have an early check in which was super helpful. The cabin was so lovely. We had the best time and my son loved it. We would def return and 100% recommend it.
