The property is adjacent to the main house, is completely detached, and is separated by a large courtyard ensuring guests have complete privacy. A perfect place to escape into nature, visit historic towns and villages, or base yourself to work remotely with easy access to central London.

After a walk in the Chilterns and a fireside drink at a country pub, relax on the large comfortable sofa and watch the wildlife in the meadow from the warmth of this cosy retreat. If you’re feeling energetic, play tennis or pickleball on our court or cycle the Phoenix Trail - (Bikes/E-bikes by arrangement.) A perfect hideaway for a romantic break, recreational weekend, peaceful remote working or just recharging your batteries.

The Stables in Historic Berkhamsted

Welcome to one of the most historic parts of Berkhamsted - the hilltop site of Old Berkhamsted Place, and the original Grade 2* listed barn which remains, reputedly, the largest medieval barn in the counties of Beds, Bucks & Herts. The Stables is a spotlessly chic cottage for 2 with large gardens & parking, offering luxury linen & towels, wi-fi & TV. Ideal town/country position - 10mins walk to town centre with cafes, restos, boutiques and antique stores, and train to London is only 35mins!

Spectacular , quiet, rural cottage. This cottage contains a large maisonette room with a super-king bed and a downstairs room with two double beds, ideal for up to 4 children who can share or two adults who prefer double beds. The bathroom has a bath with a shower in it. There is a fully operating kitchen/dining room. Lots of walks nearby either to the pubs in Little Missenden, Penn woods and Penn Street or further into Old Amersham. Shared use of a large garden and tennis court.

Fantastic self-contained spacious accommodation which forms part of a Grade II listed barn conversion tucked away in a beautiful hidden Chiltern valley; perfect for walking and cycling from the doorstep but also only four miles from both Berkhamsted and Chesham stations with easy access to London. The accommodation comprises of four good-sized, newly decorated rooms, all closed off from the owners who live in the other part of the barn but who are on hand should you need them.

Our annex provides a light & modern place to explore, relax or simply somewhere to stay for work. The annex benefits from its own private entrance, parking for up to two vehicles, beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, small patio & communal gardens. There is a compact kitchen with hob, fridge & microwave/oven. There is a private bathroom with small shower.

Quiet beautiful village

Independent private unit with private facility next to main house. I will be available if wanted. Very small, especially for two but manageable, hence the price, ( I try to keep the price as long as I can ), but very pretty, very comfortable bed for two, and good Wifi and good shower, a big fridge in the garage for your foods, beer or wine. You will not see me unless you want to!!!?. It is not a luxurious cottage. The Crown and Inn at Emmington there.
