The beautiful Gatekeepers Lodge is classically Italian. We loved all the footpaths from the house and big walks and cycles in spectacular nearby hills. There is easy access to local cities by train - we went to Verona, Trento, Padova and Vicenza. Lake Garda is easily accessible, Salo and Bardolino were highlights. Every night at 7.30 the bells of the local church play a magical little tune. We listened while having a glass of wine in the vineyard whenever possible. We bought great vegetables in local markets - local restaurants are not very good for vegetarians. We stayed for 4 weeks and the time flew. Thank you very much Ludovico.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, stylishly decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location was perfect—quiet enough to relax, but close to great restaurants, shops, and public transport. It felt like a true home away from home. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in and check-out a breeze. They also gave some great local recommendations that really enhanced my trip. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay!

Beautiful apartment, spacious and classic. Large windows, comfortable sitting area, very cosy and we felt right at home. My favourite antique style furniture, equipped kitchen and lovely dining area. Location is perfect, near the beach, and all the restaurants and shop you need is just a few minutes walk. Nicoletta was very kind to wait for our check it extra hours as we were late due to airport delay. She gave us all necessary information and was very quick to help when needed. Will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended for these who want to see Venice but hate the crowd in summer.

I don't know what to say.... The whole thing was perfect. Entering through the gate with the car and seeing our beautiful little yard, surrounded by a jasmine hedge and full of flowers shaded by olive trees right on the lakefront was amazing. In the apartment, the windows that looked right out onto the lake made it feel like there was a living painting... with sound when we left the window open. I would like to address the low ceilings in bedroom and bathroom. It is true, they are low and we are tall so we did have to duck a bit at the head of the bed and in the toilet area but it was COMPLETELY fine. The kitchen was quite well equipped and we made a bunch of lovely meals there. It was a beautiful walk along a sidewalk but then mostly along the beautiful lakefront promenade into town and we walked a few times a day with no difficulty to the ferry, the grocery store, the lungolago. Best of all was Giampaolo's mom who was AMAZING as was her strudel. A beautiful lady!!!! Perfect!
