Special price for March! The apartment is located on the Giudecca island and belongs to the historical center of Venice . The most exciting thing when you arrive by boat is the wonderful view of the Giudecca Canal . A view that opens the heart and has captivated many artists who frequented the city .This part of Venice, perhaps one of the few that remained authentic, has been preserved from the arrival chaotic of the tourism with its own cultural and residential rooted tradition.
“Romantic retreat. Quiet recharge and repeat. My husband and I came to Venice for the Carnival festivities. At the end of the day, we were appreciative to escape the crowds and noise to retreat to Daniela’s home to recharge and repeat. Our stay at this AirBnB was beyond our expectations. Daniela met us at the ferry stop and walked us to her home. Along the way, she pointed out local grocery stores and recommended restaurants. Upon reaching her home, Daniela confirmed we understood how to enter/exit the secure building. She thoroughly explained where we could find extra blankets, towels, etc should we need them. She graciously stocked Italian snacks, fresh citrus fruit, and a variety of beverages. Daniela’s home is well-prepared to meet any guests expectations. If you have forgotten any toiletries, such as shampoo, make-up remover, shower caps and the like, she has you covered. If you are in the area for sightseeing, there are numerous travel guides and maps available for use. If you are here for a getaway or romance, the spectacular view shown in the pictures is accurate. Numerous books about European history and beautiful Italian art are displayed throughout the home. Approximately, 100 CD’s of music from classical to the Rolling Stones are available and/or music from the Smart tv ( which also has several language channels). Thank you Daniela for sharing your home with us. Helpful hints for others that we either learned while in Venice or researched before arrival. 1. We found that learning some basic Italian phrases were appreciated. 2. Grocery stores are called Poco’s. 3. The ferries are called Vaparetto ‘s and is Venice’s main public transportation. During our visit they operated 24h and we found them to be the least expensive. 4. Gondola rides are 80,00 euro for 35 minutes. 5. Venice is full of cobble stone streets. Ve”
My apartment, located on the third floor of a 18th century building, is the ideal place for those who want to experience a romantic getaway in Venice, or for those who choose Rialto as a strategic point for their holiday.
“Our stay at Alex's apartment was perfect! The house is located in a strategic position to visit the city, but at the same time in a quiet and not chaotic area. The apartment is functional, equipped with everything necessary and with attention to the smallest details, just like in the picture. Alex has always been available to help and give us advice whenever we need it. We did not know him personally as he was not in the city during our stay, but we had to deal with his brother Sebastiano who was also very kind and helpful, and gave us a lot of useful tips for visiting the city. I highly recommend Alex's house for a stay in Venice :)”
A beautiful restored warehouse in classic venetian style directly on St Peter' s a quiet area frequented mostly by venetians. The bars, restaurants and good supermarket are 5 minutes away on foot. Piazza San Marco is just 15 minutes on foot. the area is one of the art and architecture Biennale. A corner of Venice as living as a once in a calm and real Venetian atmosphere.
“I truly want to thank Piero for our lovely stay in Castello. The house is small but for the two of us it provided all the space we needed, plus it has been ingeniously redesigned and every tiny corner is well exploited. It was for us a genuine Venetian experience: the area is quiet, simple and charming, and the balcony on the canal, despite being microscopic, provides a nice outdoor breakfast or late evening experience. Via Garibaldi, with all its restaurants and lively Castello flavour, and San Marco are some 15’ walk away. But the true pearl of the experience is Piero himself. He really is a superhost! Nice, friendly, easy going and flexible, he is very rich in details and tips on what’s going on in Venice. Not to forget precious parking info! Will certainly reconsider for future trips to Venice as well as recommend to friends.”
