Cabin vacation rentals in Traverse City

Staying at Kelsey‘s place was great. It was a short ride to some wonderful hikes and we had a beautiful vista of the frozen lake for our entire stay.

Darren's cabin is exceptional! Everything is as shown, but so much better in real life. the cabin is beautiful, well appointed, and comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful, unbeatable views of Lake Michigan. it was the perfect place to spend a holiday weekend with beloved family, playing games in front of the fireplace. Darren was a responsive, kind and accommodating host. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is it.

And absolutely amazing and beautiful place to call home! Excellent location, for adventures and explores of what the surrounding areas have to offer, or if you are looking for a remote quite getaway! This is the place to have the best of what you desire in a lake cabin!

This place was so cute and cozy yet lots of space. The hot tub works wonderfully, the jets are amazing. Clean space and clear communication. We loved our stay here. Thank you.

Excellent stay at the Thompsonville lodge. Hot Tub and sauna was amazing and the cabin was very comfortable and stocked well. My 14 and 12 year old spent hours playing some of the board games. Only had to contact J.T once when my sons PS5 would not connect to the wifi and he responded and resolved the issue in 5 min. We plan to return next spring break.

The house and setting are absolutely beautiful. We had originally planned to spend our days in one of the various close by towns, but we ended up spending a lot of time at the house because it was just so peaceful, private and relaxing. We went in the winter and the outdoor hottub and the indoor fireplace made for a great stay. We are excited to stay again during another season as it would be a different but equally amazing experience. John and Kelly are the most helpful and friendly hosts we have ever rented from and are quick to respond to any communication. We can't recommend the Shady Eighty highly enough.

stayed up at Ryans air b&b for a ski vacation with 5 good friends and now my new fiance! place was clean, easy to find and nice and close to Boyne. The hot tub was awesome after a long day of skiing, would 10/10 recommend, also Ryan's communication was great with us whenever we had any questions, thanks again Ryan!

Not only was this peaceful gem just like the listing. BUT the record collection and books are AWESOME!!!! The pet friendly fenced in back yard was spacious and well lit for our Great Dane puppy to run a frolic to her little hearts content. Cant build build a fire?(even though there was ample wood supplied)?? There’s a gas table top fire.. don’t feel like going out??? I made a homemade breakfast pizza and had all the cooking utensils I needed… I felt soo at home and at peace. And enjoyed a trip to Petosky and POND HILL FARM and the tunnel of trees. I JUST need to know one thing??? How much is rent, and when can I move in??

We loved our stay at "the cabin!" Lots of room and personalized space for those who wanted it. Good bathroom space and really appreciated the laundry and kitchen areas.

We were in the area to ski at Boyne and also needed dog friendly accommodations. The house worked out great for the dog but is probably at the limit for distance to Boyne. Definitely needed the 4x4 vehicles to get around as the snow came down pretty much the entire time we were there. The road is plowed but a low clearance vehicle would definitely have trouble. Only 15 minutes to Gaylord. Worked out great for quick grocery trips! We would definitely stay again!

Great location for skiing at Shanty creek! Cozy beds, big kitchen and peaceful location. The driveway was steep in the snow (we were warned!) and the plowing company didn’t come until next days after the snowfall, but we managed and had so much fun on the snow!!! Kids ages 6,10 loved it.

This was our second stay and it was just as great as the first.

Liz was extremely communicative and responded very quickly. The property was beautiful and peaceful, quiet, and a great vibe. Looks just like the photos, pool was clean, living space was clean.

This place was absolutely amazing! The house offered everything we needed for our family! It was well thought out and organized. Clint was a very clear communicator and responded quickly when we had questions! We would recommend it to everyone!

We stayed this weekend to break up the dullness of winter. Our kids loved the cabin and the clubhouse. It was such a cozy space to relax. I loved the wood stove! I would recommend to my friends!

We loved our stay at this cabin on a cold winter weekend. We greatly enjoyed the wood stove, and everything was well thought through amenities-wise. John was very friendly and helpful. I’m sure it’s lovely in the warmer months with Bar Lake in the backyard and Lake MI just down the road!

Maria’s place is an absolute gem! We stayed three nights over NYE and it was exactly what we needed! It is a gorgeous cabin with thoughtful touches … very peaceful yet close enough to anything you would need. Although, it’s very well appointed so quite easy to just stay in and get cozy by the fire. We drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes area which was not too far and found the drive to be very beautiful! The best part was the snow we woke up to New Year’s Day … just magical and our dogs loved it. 10/10 recommend!

Nice place for me and my family to stay to enjoy a winter weekend. Loved the board games.

Pam and Ken were wonderful to work with. She left us cookies and treats for kids. The place was prefect for our family and what we were there for. We needed some help with the trial system for snowmobiling, Ken come over and showed us all the ends and outs. The weather was perfect for our snowmobile trip. They own a store also and it was perfect for what we needed and the food was amazing. Pam communicated very promptly and with great information.

Cute, quiet little town and not a bad drive to Traverse City. Paula was very helpful with instructions that were clear to follow. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!

Craig was a gracious host. He was easy to reach and left helpful instructions. The cabin is quite nice and cozy, we loved the wood stove. I'd definitely come back sometime!

This is a great place to get away and disconnect from the world. Yet within a very short drive to town. We loved heating with the wood stove. The bed we used was very comfortable. The cabin is larger than the pictures depicted. I loved the fishing from the shore. Overall, a very relaxing, enjoyable location. Sharon was very friendly and responsive. She checked in with us to make sure we were settled and to see if we needed anything. Loved our stay here.
