Beachfront vacation rentals in Tankerton

This is our second visit to Kish & Fiona's lovely home in Margate and it was just as great this time as it was originally. Kish & Fiona were a great help when we were running late for our arrival and shopping delivery for the weekend, they arranged for their cleaner to be at the property for us which was such a lovely thing to do. We will definitely be back next time we go to Margate.

This is a perfect location for a holiday by the seaside. The flat was lovely, very clean and perfect for a family of 4 with two young children. It had everything we could have needed, including beach stuff and games for the children. Everything was within walking distance, the beaches were lovely and really nice restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was pristine, beautiful home. right on the beachfront, offstreet parking oppersite the house. Sums it up, couldn't ask for more. The host was also proactive with clear instructions ahead of time and responsive when messaged. would recommend to anyone visiting Southend-on-Sea.

Great property. Pics don’t do it justice. We really felt at home. Super close to the beach and park for the dogs. So many amenities, even a spare toothbrush - which i had forgotten at home. Thank you for having us.

We have just been back to Richard's house this weekend for the 4th time with a group of friends - and had a wonderful time as always. The house is absolutely perfect for a group holiday - clean, spacious lounge and kitchen/diner, amazing location with wonderful views over the harbour and the pool room downstairs added a fun dimension. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets really helps too! We didn't use the cars at all - we had plenty to do within walking distance including the beach, the harbour and tennis at spencer square which has a little cafe selling delicious cakes. Pugin's house and church are just up the road. There was an open day while we were there - well worth a visit. Would highly recommend Marc-Pierres's restaurant a 2 minute walk away - he serves fish dishes cooked to perfection. Looking forward to returning next year!

Honestly, words can’t describe how grateful I am for Sheila and to be able to stay here to celebrate my birthday. Absolutely amazing communication!! So kind and friendly. The house was amazing and THE VIEW was incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. I would more than come back here again. But if you’re looking for a sign to book this place, this is it!! Absolutely stunning place, very spacious, well furnished, very comfortable. The little courtyard garden and drink area are lovely extras. Beds are comfy. Stairs are steep, so if you’re elderly or injured it might be interesting. We loved it and would like to come back in the future.

We absolutely loved staying at the Beach Hut. The location was perfect, we walked into Margate and Birchington. Train and buses so close if needed . Westgate High street was so close and the Swan which was 2 minutes away was great for food and drinks. It was really peaceful and extremely clean, such lovely touches with coffee/tea, milk, water and cereal. We loved the chilled atmosphere sitting in the front of the hut for drinks or coffee , so relaxing. We would definitely stay again and also recommend for a perfect relaxing break and although we only got to wave at Lorraine , David was so friendly and checked to see if all was ok for us . Great communication and we absolutely loved it. Thank you so much for our stay and how attentive and responsive you have been 👍

It’s a really clean caravan, looks exactly like the pictures. It had everything we needed, it was a great base to be able to visit family nearby. Communication was great as well. We will be booking again next time we are down.

We had the perfect stay. It was a home away from home with little touches like kids books, games and movies. It's ideal for walks along the beach in all weather. Gill was a brilliant host. Friendly, helpful, responsive and very accommodating. The park has lots to do and it within walking distance of Seasalter beach and Whitstable. We'd highly recommend and come back. We felt right at home in Wendy's holiday park caravan, which reminded us a lot of our luxury camper that we travel with back home in the states. Wendy was an incredibly responsive and accommodating host from start to finish, and the quiet location away from the busyness of central Dover couldn't be beat. No issues parking, and the overflow parking is a literal stone throw's away if needed. The shop next to the overflow parking was perfect to stock up supplies for a quick breakfast the next morning before we headed out. Supposedly there are laundry resources on site, but we arrived too late to take advantage of that - pick up tokens and soap at the shop if needed. The exterior doors are also a little tricky if you aren't familiar with multi-lock styles - make sure you pull up on the handle when locking exterior doors. Also be sure to make reservations for any of the nice restaurants nearby!

An absolutely beautiful house in a gorgeous location. We had a lovely weekend with walks up and down the coast and a short drive to a great pub for Sunday lunch. Maggie was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely love to stay again.

It was the perfect hut for a full day at the beach with the kids, all the amenities meant that we didn’t have to carry loads or stuff to the beach! Thank you and we will definitely be rebooking! ☺️

Exactly what it says on the tin, as they say. Friendly people, a nice little grass dog walking area next to a nature reserve. Pub opposite served lovely food as does the clubhouse I’m sure, although we didn’t get to eat there it served a lovely Guinness and provided great entertainment from bingo to cabaret. All in all very happy and hope to go book even just for a mini weekend break. Sandra and her hubby, nice people and very helpful, thank you both. Mark & Michelle

Super location for family with young children; house on a safe, private road and easy access to the beach with cycle/scooter paths. Close to other seaside locations (Whistable, Margate, Ramsgate) all worth visiting but also walking distance to Herne Bay.

This place was a real find, with a peaceful conservatory and a private garden leading directly on to the beach, which feels really very unusual. The place had everything you need and was very clean and well maintained. The beds were really comfortable. Chris was super helpful and proactive with great guidance on the local area.

We had a great weekend in this apartment. The view is amazing and it’s the perfect location for exploring Margate’s cafes and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

Nice period flat overlooking the sea and the beach. Convenient for golf and a nice pub. Includes a large garden.

We needed a day by the sea and hiring a beach hut in February was the perfect way to do it. We brought a picnic, books and board games and set about a relaxing day sitting on the balcony under blankets, gazing at the sea - just what we had hoped for. The deserted beach in front of the hut was like having a private garden. Our children found buckets and spades for building sandcastles and happily played while we watched on - idyllic.

This was our second stay at Joanna’s place - and we are so glad to have returned. A really lovely flat, easy walking distance to shops, cafes, pubs, ice cream shops, play parks at Broadstairs. And directly opposite the beach at Stone Bay. Really great with our 2 year old - travel cot, baby bath & high chair provided. And lots of kid-friendly plates, cups, cutlery too. Plus some bonus beach toys we could use! Altogether a lovely stay - and Joanna was such a helpful and responsive host while we were there. Thank you!

We had a great stay. The house is a great bolthole for exploring the beach, and surrounding areas. It is a 15 minute drive to Whitstable, short drive (a few minutes) or 20/25 minute walk to the main activities in Herne Bay, and only a few minutes walk to a beach and playground. It was blissful to sit on the sofas and watch the sunrise and stare out at sea. Excellent facilities for washing and drying clothes - which was a must have for us with children and beach/swimming taking place. A great place for us to have a short stay by the beach.

The perfect location, walkable to town and to Dover Castle. Most places were closed due to Easter and the following day which was also a holiday so that was challenging. There were 6 of us staying, more ideal for 4 people. The noise from the road below didn’t bother us at all. I would recommend using a “noise machine” if staying in the primary bedroom, but the bed was really comfortable and we got great sleep. Ideal place to walk to all the restaurants once they did open. Rain was very accommodating and responded very quickly to any questions I had.
