rented the place for a business trip with colleagues, was perfect to rest after long days of work. The value for money for 3 or 4 people is great. The host was very proactive and friendly. I will probably come back some other time !

Me and my friends went on a weekend trip there and location was beautiful. Home felt very cozy, peaceful, was clean and spacious enough for eight people. Towels, bedding and toiletries were provided. Beautiful garden and backyard with plenty of places to sit outside to enjoy morning coffee's and evening drinks. Host always responded fast and was helpful whenever we needed help.

Secluded lake house near city center

This house is a true marvel. And I can know as me and my family lived there for half a year. When I booked the house I was afraid it was too good to be true: secluded in a forest, but close to the city center; at the foot of a mountain, and with two (!) lakes for swimming or fishing. But it all appeared to be true. It was even better: at the end of the access road, but out of sight, is a supermarket and a bus stop. The bus takes you to the city center in short ride. Moreover, Sharon – the host and owner – is a very nice and sweet person. I truly recommend this place. And to acknowledge this endorsement: we’ll come back this spring.

We had a wonderful trip and stay. The house is an absolute dream and just as beautiful as in the pictures. We felt very comfortable, like at home. The location is perfect, quiet and beautiful. Our host Linda is very attentive and friendly, we will be back very soon. That was my best Norway experience so far :)

Beate and Robert's house is just fantastic in every way. It's a beautiful home that has put a lot of love and work into whatever you feel. We felt comfortable from the first moment, everything was clean and lovingly furnished down to the last detail and kept to the style. But still it had the comforts of today and was modern. The kids were absolutely happy about the playroom with the diverse clean toys and feeding the animals was the daily highlight. There is a lot to do in the area and I recommend the hike with the red ribbons that starts behind the house of Beate and Robert. The tour is magical. Again, thank you to Robert and Beate for putting in so much effort. You are great hosts and we will be happy to come back!

We had a great time in Ann-Kristin and Laila's cabin. They had made it incredibly cozy by decorating for Christmas with lights and Christmas trees. The cabin was also clean and prepared for our visit. The location is amazing and it was easy to find. The hosts were very easy to deal with and responded quickly. I can highly recommend this place.

One of my top 5 airbnb stays across the globe, The location is an absolute gem. Nestled in a serene and private setting, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The peace and quiet were truly restorative. What truly set this property apart was the abundance of activities available. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our days fishing in the nearby lake, leisurely rowing on the water, and engaging in friendly competition with the provided board games, BBQ in the evenings. As night fell, the lack of light pollution made for breathtaking stargazing when the skys are clear. Truly a recommended place.

We absolutely loved this house and it made our trip so much more enjoyable! Our kids loved getting in the hot tub after exploring for the day. There is a waterfall a little ways behind the home that was fun to explore. The beds were insanely comfortable and overall everything felt spacious and cozy! I will say that I was a bit surprised at the walk to the house. I’m not sure why I was expecting a paved walkway that would be easy to carry your luggage on but it is definitely not that. Ha! It is very steep at the end and when carrying your luggage it feels like it is never ending. I would absolutely recommend you use the ATV service if you have anything more than carryon luggage. Thanks again, Julian, for being so responsive and easy to get in touch with when we had questions. We would highly recommend this property to everyone!

We had the best time at Johanne and Alexsander’s place! It is so beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. It’s in a great location with walking routes right from the house and the new sauna with views over the fjord is amazing! Johanne and Alexsander are both really helpful and responsive hosts, they helped out us out with recommendations for walking routes. We will definitely be back!

Great location for this beautiful house, perfectly as described and as shown in the photos. Anders was very friendly, proactive and responsive by messaging. Small touches were waiting for us upon arrival, and the living room was very nicely decorated for Christmas. The 40-degree Jacuzzi facing the fjord is a must! Only one slight downside on the cleanliness of the kitchen which was good but not impeccable. A very nice place to recommend without hesitation. Thanks again for a wonderful Christmas in Bergen.

What a fabulous central location. Apartment exactly as described…really comfortable and cosy. We slept really well. Good WiFi and well stocked with books & games. We mostly ate out but kitchen is well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again.

Spectacular stay - absolutely beautiful view with everything you need. Stayed about 2 weeks and had zero issues - great kitchen, great bathroom, easy parking, awesome gym area. Glenn was a great host - would love to stay again!

Host is a very responsive and kind person living nearby. The interior has been designed with care and gives you the feeling that you are a guest in some local's home and not just a tourist who needs a cover for a few nights. Everything about this place and host was excellent. Very comfortable, private and quiet, updated and we had all we needed. Grocery store within walking distance and very easy bus access to Bergen-only about 10 minutes away. Birthe was an extremely responsive host and accommodating to our schedule. What a fantastic time we have spent in Trude and Andreas’ magnificent house in Haukanes on Huglo! The charming, secluded and well equipped traditional red house and its quiet surroundings are breathtaking with ever changing views, the greens and flowers, the small cottages, the boathouse, the pier, the boat and of course the sea only a few meters away. Despite some fairly rainy days we (two adults and a youngster of 16) enjoyed a lot the cozy house and had plenty to do exploring the island; hiking the Natur/Kulturstien, “climbing” Høgafjellet more than once, and talking to the very friendly and helpful Huglare. Other highlights included ice cream sessions at the Huglabutikken (with a surprisingly good selection of groceries), the multiple ferry trips to Hodnanes and Jektavik and the hiking on Stord (Stovegolvet). Trude and Andreas are fantastic hosts, extremely fast in answering any questions we had and we would warmly recommend to visit their magic place on Huglo.

Our stay at Ingebjorg and Johannes was great. The house was absolutely clean and quiet. Ingebjorg and her sons were always helpful. The accommodation is really recommended.
