Altho I did not communicate with Allison directly in regards to the stay, I did communicate with Katia who provided me with all the info I needed and timely updates. This is our second time staying at the Surfshack and it is a great location for a cozy haven after a long day of kayaking!

This place is simply amazing. The location is fantastic. Only 5 min to the spit, Salty Dog Saloon, Aj’s, and all the amazing local spots. I was blown away by the views from the house. We saw otters, had a black bear in our backyard, and met a moose who was walking down our street. If you are looking for the real Alaska getaway, this is it. This place simply has everything you’d ever want for a memorable trip to Homer, AK!

Beautiful, Cozy Greenwood Cabin with Glacier Views

This is a really special spot. The cabin is beautiful, spacious, and a pleasure to spend time in. The views of the mountains (glaciers visible) is stunning and tranquil. The location is about 15mins from Homer--far enough for some peace and quiet while still being closely accessible to everything. Laurie and the other hosts were kind and accommodating and we kept our eyes out for moose but didn't luck out on the property (we did see one near the road on the other side of Homer!). We loved the cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area. Thanks, Laurie and all!

Meadow Creek Cabin

This is the second time we have stayed at Rebecca’s place. It was as wonderful the second time as it was the first time. The place is so well crafted and designed with quality and comfort in mind. It has an amazing view, has all the amenities you would ever need and is absolutely spotless. The view is great with lots of natural light from the wall of windows which look over the bay. Never get tired of that view. Rebecca is a great host.

Amazing place to stay! Loved the BBQ grill and the hot tub on the spacious deck. Very private and quiet location. It was amazing watching the sunset from the deck and listening to the owls hooting into the night. The cabin itself has amazing amenities and is very cozy. Would definitely stay again!

I hope you're reading this because the view captured your attention for this listing. Yes, the view is that stunning, but if you are between this home and another, let this be your reason to choose this over the other. The host, Brett, is a rare find in that I would say as a host hands down one of the best I've delt with. To add to that though, it is sometimes hard to find genuinely good people with no other agenda besides taking care of each other. I cannot express in just this small post how much I believe Brett is a person that thoroughly enjoys spreading peace and happiness to all that encounter him. I will be sure to look this home up for my next Homer adventure.

I enjoyed my end of season stay on Homer Spit. This place was perfect for me to spend a quiet night before a trip out to Tutka Bay Lodge for the weekend. The proximity to the beach is as pictured and a little path takes you straight to it. Sunset from the little deck was lovely. Shop employees who let me into the space were friendly and helpful.

She was amazing. I think one of the best hosts I have had. We arrived earlier than we had planned and so we were able to meet. She was very gracious and allowed us to forage berries on her property, offered a mode of transportation for the next day. We did end up leaving a day early… that was only because the marine weather forecast was going turn bad. We will definitely stay again possibly again this year… it was that great and comfortable.

We loved the location of The Boardwalk Hotel although the weather did not cooperate (extremely windy) for us to be able to sit out and enjoy the patio and the view as much as we would’ve liked. We appreciated having the golf cart for a few hours in the evening to be able to check out the area. I was kind of surprised at the tip envelope for the cleaning ladies. We have never experienced that before since we pay a cleaning fee through Airbnb…. But of course, we then felt bad if we didn’t leave a tip. We loved the coffee and crêpes at the roasting company down the street as well as Jack and Avias for lunch! Our waitress was great! Super busy but still very friendly! Cute little town/ boardwalk.

Great place to relax and enjoy Homer!! The cold plunge, sauna, and hot top were very cool! We stayed in the Arc! Very awesome design. The place was spotless and beautifully decorated. It was a perfect place to explore the area! The hosts were very polite and caring. I will tell everyone about this place! It was a romantic and relaxing get away! Thanks!!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was so peaceful and loved the hot tub! It was a very comfortable space for five people. Everyone had their own space to sleep and spread out. The kitchen had great amenities and it was easy to cook and prepare meals for our group.

We absolutely loved our time at Teena’s home - it is by far our favorite Airbnb stay to date! The house itself is beautiful and very thoughtfully designed, and was very clean and cozy. The view is incredible; we spent hours in the living room and on the deck just admiring the scenery. We enjoyed the sauna, and the kitchen was well equipped. Teena was very communicative and was incredibly helpful with local recommendations. We can’t wait to stay here again during a future trip to Homer!

On the first day we arrived at Karyn’s, after noting the awesome view and cozy stay, a mama and baby moose appeared to take a nap right in the front yard. In the excitement of this, I accidentally locked myself out (with the moose) and called Karyn in a panic. She couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful. Additionally, I worked remotely from this stay for a month. Perfect for an Alaskan woods getaway

Super cool location and awesome host. Carmen was very accommodating and willing to assist in any way. Would definitely stay there again if we are planning a trip back to that area. Would be a challenge for anyone with a physical limitation or fear of steep terrain and not ideal for younger children. Overall an awesome spot with fantastic views!
