Amy’s Local BNB is nestled among huge fir trees in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from downtown Sebastopol. This sunny contemporary gem focuses on our commitment to local and sustainably sourced food, wine, and crafts. With a full kitchen, you can enjoy the comforts of a meal cooked “at home” from the local farmer’s market, or walk to superb local eateries. We will share maps to our favorite swimming hole on the Russian River or to ocean beaches, or introduce you to excellent local vintners.
“We had a wonderful time at Amy's place! The vibe is "comfy treehouse". In normal times the highlights might be the hot tub or the fresh muffins, but in our case, we were visiting at the same time as a major fire was raging nearby in the county. Amy was incredibly responsive and flexible with us as we had to decide whether and how to travel. In the end we were delighted to have made the trip and to have spent a few days in Amy's local B and B.”

“Zan's place was a lovely and peaceful retreat from city life for us and our elderly dog. The location was great for exploring the coast and relaxing at the beach, for walking in the redwoods, and for eating out in Sebastopol. A couple of things of note: all the eateries serving dinner in Occidental are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, although that may be temporary, but there's a nice healthy food store in town and Sebastopol had loads of options. Also, don't pay attention to most of the apps that will tell you there is smoke in the area. We got the most accurate results from Purple Air (and Zan). Other apps were rubbish. Also, in the listing there's a photos that looks like there's a fenced in grassy area. There's not, but that wasn't a problem for us. We loved watching the little quail families run around and the bed is very comfortable and cozy. Thank you Zan, and thank you for allowing dogs to stay too!”

“Barbara’s place is cozy and really comfortable. The location is perfect: just up the road from Occidental, close to Freestone, and a nice drive to the coast and many beaches. We enjoyed hanging out in the patio area as a place to relax before and after being on the road. Well-appointed bedroom, bathroom, and common area. Snacks, coffee, bathrobes, and small bottles of champagne to welcome us! We felt pampered throughout our relaxing stay.”
