Monthly Rentals in San Andrés Huayapam

This is the second time I've stayed here. I love the tranquility of the place. You can see the stars from the terrace. Recommended.

Our four night stay at Julio and Gaëlle Casistas was perfection. Not only was the residence comfortable, clean, well furnished, and convenient to the lovely Pueblo of Huayapam, but our wonderful hosts were gracious, friendly and helpful beyond expectations. And their two playful, affectionate pups were a delight. I will definitely be returning.

As much as we enjoy Oaxaca City, we needed a break from the heat, the noise, the crowds. Eire’s place was delightful! Beautifully finished with a great view. San Andres Huayapam is charming, safe and friendly. There are great restaurants. We ate at Luz de Luna and then watched the moon shine over the Oaxaca valley and city from our bed at Bungalow Majahua. It is our goal to walk 10k steps a day which we easily did with quiet streets and butterflies. One recommendation—arrive during the day and have a map for your driver to look at. Ricardo met us and helped our taxi driver which was really helpful. Our cell service didn’t work well but the Bungalow’s wifi worked very well. We were able to take care of remote work, zooms and watch a movie with no problem. We really enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch out but loved eating dinner in the cosy bungalow. The shower was strong with plenty of hot water and painted the most beautiful color of blue green. No problem with mosquitos.

We loved staying with Luz and Manuel. We stayed for a month while working remotely and they welcomed us with open arms. I joined their dog walks in the mornings and we got to know them very well. The apartment is cozy and has everything you need. There are markets to buy fresh cheese, meat, and vegetables all within walking distance. Taking the bus into town was very easy. We sought out a place near the mountains so that my husband could mountain bike easily and this was perfect. We also wanted to feel like we were within the local community, not in a separate neighborhood where there are only other gringos.
