  • The accommodation is a bit out of the way, but was exactly what we wanted. We were greeted very nicely by the owners. The accommodation looks very new and was really super clean. The rooms are a bit smaller, but the more comfortable. The kitchen was good and equipped with many high quality appliances. The bed could be a bit more comfortable, but fully fitted. To the hosts ... we have never experienced such a thing ... so hospitable and lovely !! Almost every day a nice attention (fresh towels, cakes, biscuits, wine to say goodbye, etc.) brought us past and regularly inquires, if everything fits. But nevertheless, we paid a lot of attention to our privacy. We can highly recommend the stay there!

  • We had a wonderful and relaxed week! The apartment has a quiet, away from tourism location. Equipment was rather old and economical but sufficient for 2. The two landlords are incredibly nice and hospitable, we were warmly welcomed and adopted! Although they do not speak English, but with a bit of German and Italian and hands and feet we got along great. The area is highly recommended and by car many different day trips are possible!

Istria for gourmets The variety of Istrian cuisine comes from its rich history and the influences of foreign rulers, which are still to be found in numerous dishes. Elements of the Italian, European (Austria and Hungary) and Slavic are all represented in the Istrian kitchen. The north-western coast of Istria is rich in gastronmic delicacies: tasty mussels, the best sea-tongue from the Tarska Vala, delicious oysters from the Lim Fjord and the scampi from the bay of Kvarner. The centre of Istria offers traditional snails from Galizana, olive oil from Vodnjan and Tar, truffles from the valley of Mirna and the widely available wild mushrooms. Wines The Roman writers glorified not only the Istrian olive oil, but indeed the numerous wines of the Istrian peninsula. Wondrous powers were assigned to the Vinum Pucinum, and the Roman empress Julia Augusta thought she owed her vitality and unusual old age to the same wine. The great adventurer and lover Giacomo Casanova wrote in his famous memoirs about the excellent Istrian REFOSCO. The Austria-Hungarian monarchy also valued the high quality of Istrian wine. In 1875 in Porec, the mighty empire opened one of the three largest agriculture-wine schools of its time. The narrow railway line that was built from Trieste to Porec in 1902 is still affectionatly referred to by the locals as the wine-track. The most famous wines are Malvazija, Teran, Merlot, Hrvatica, Borgonja as well as a half-dry yellow and red Muskat. You can try these numerous wines in the various restaurants and konobas, as well as with the winemakers along the wine routes. Istria is a wonderful world in miniature;  it is the largest peninsula of the Adriatic, lies below the Alps, and is encircled by the Adriatic sea. Looking at the geographic map of Croatia you will find Istria immediately. It is based in the western-most part of the country, encircled by the sea, and it has the shape of a heart. The small islands and cultivated fields that stretch to the sea and a beautiful sunset, where the sun seems to melt into the sea, will stir the passions and will help you to discover new emotions. The eastern part of the peninsula is made of limestone. Its coast is full of rocks and high, nearly inaccessible, cliffs which will astonish you, and from the tops of which you will see the yellow and gilded sun that illuminates the landscape and the sea in a crystalline colour. In the spring and summer the landscape is covered in intense green, and in the autumn it is transformed magically into the colours of yellow and red that make the hills appear as if on fire. After you have tasted the oil of the olive and the truffle, you cannot but enjoy these simple foods for their intense flavour. Istria is a land rich with millennium history. Here were once settled Histrians, Romans, Goths, Byzantines, Lombardies, and  and in more recent ages also Venetians, the Napoleonic army and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. All of them have left indelible traces that have influenced not only the architecture but, above all, the culture of this world which always has been multiethnic and tolerant. Even today it is a land with many cultures and ethnic races, all living peacefully together. Popular historical and natural attractions of Istria to visit are: the Eufrasian Basilica in Porec, from the sixth century, which in 1997 has been inscribed by UNESCO on the World Heritage List; the national park of Brijuni (Brioni) which consists of 14 islands and over the centuries has been a very popular holiday resort. The remains of some roman villas testify to the fact that many personalities from the XX century have chosen Brijuni for their vacation. The best known among these is surely the former President of Yugoslavia, Marshall Josip Broz Tito. The ancient city of Pula, today the economic centre of Istria, fascinates above all for its roman remains, still very well conserved, like the imposing amphitheatre, the beautiful August temple and many others. Fans of good food will find in Istria many restaurants and taverns, where tasteful local and regional specialties are served. Furthermore the region is known for its excellent wines, whose secret is jealously guarded in Istrian wine cellars. An, often recommended, wine from among many is Istrian Malvazia, a typical white wine from the region. Young people who love the sun, the sea and entertainment, will surely not be disappointed, as all this is offered in the numerous tourist villages and in the holiday centres of Istria. Although Istria is one of the well known Mediterranean regions for holidays, its inland areas are yet to be discovered. We are referring to "green Istria", with its green hills and small hilltop villages, the white cliffs, the forests, the limestone hollows, the small churches and the old medieval castles covered with ivy. Our House is for all thet will escape in the Nature but verry close to the Sea It is suitable for accommodation to max. 8 person. The most exclusive part of villa is a pool with a sun deck and barbecue. Dobrodošli!
"Vila Maestral" is a typical Istrian house, built in the 1850th years. It is located in a quiet village Bratulići, 17 kilometers north-east of the town of Pula in Croatia In a typical Istrian ambience, away from city noise and crowds, in the midst of pristine nature with the scent of lavender, under the warm Mediterranean sun, in the embrace of waves in the Adriatic, in the "Villa Maestral" you will relive the best days of your vacation! THE GROUND FLOOR has a large living room with fireplace, dining room, wc / shower, kitchen and gallery where are three beds. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower with bidet. In the backyard there is a swimming pool in use from cca. 15.05. - 01.10 depend of the weather situation. We have two covered terraces and outdoor fireplace. The house was designed for a maximum of 8 persons. Guests have optionally place for the speedboat, and speedboats can be rented. Parking is on a private property. SLEEPING: there are 2 bedrooms in the first floor and in the ground floor in the upper part of living room we have sleeping gallery with queen size bed and single bed. Possibility for sleeping is also on the sofa bed (recommended for one person) in the lower part of the living room. KITCHEN - DINING ROOM: On th ground floor there is a kitchen with electrical appliances, dish washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and a toaster. There is a dining room too. IN FRONT of the house is a terrace. There is a swimming pool (7x3,5) in use from cca. 15.05. - 15.09. with a terrace for sunbathing and one covered terrace for enjoying your summer vacation. Near the terrace there is a fireplace for grilling. There are parking spaces too for your cars. The owner doesn't live in the house. PLACE "Bratulići" is located 17km north-east of the town of Pula. The location is ideal for guests who want peace and quiet in nature. Nearby there are plenty of bicycle paths and hiking trails and lots of undiscovered beaches. In place Bratulići, 200m from the "Villa Maestral" are our typical restaurants with excellent local Istrian specialties, and 900m further is the pizza place. Krnica, nearest beach is 5,5km from the village, and the first tourist beach is in the "Duga uvala" with the hotel, about 12 km away from the "Vila Maestral".
Not far away from the unit, there is a small typical Istrian restaurant where at competitive prices you can taste always fresh, local specialties and wines.
  • The house is located in the relative center of Istria and allows you to reach both the west, south and east coasts by car within 30-40 minutes. As a result, we were able to head to a new bay for bathing almost every day, which we especially enjoyed and provided the necessary variety! The cultural centers such as Pula or Porec were so easy to reach. The stone house is decorated in a typical rustic style and offers a refreshing coolness, which is very pleasant, especially on hot days. Wi-Fi, satellite TV a fully equipped kitchen is available. The house also has two bathrooms with toilet + shower in the upper and lower floor, which has just contributed to the relaxed stay for the female fellow travelers! ;) In the lower bathroom is also a washing machine. The outdoor area is well maintained and the existing pool is great, just after a "cultural" outing (especially for the kids) or just to refresh yourself without having to go anywhere with a bag and bag. Concerning. the pool maintenance the owner had shown me everything necessary at check-in. A large stone grill is built on the poolside house side. Also classic garden games such as badminton and the like are available and do not need to be brought extra. For beaches we could always take two umbrellas, which are also available! The owners are available at any time and have responded to questions immediately or would come in case of problems. The owners themselves do not live on site, so we did not feel like we were under surveillance. The neighbors were friendly and seemed used to the stay of non locals. Getting used to the diverse wildlife, where even a scorpion can run on the path, but which are harmless. One should therefore always make sure that the mosquito nets are tight at the windows.

  • Brilliant, caring host !!!! And a lovely little house with great outside space for groups! A holiday to remember

    Mia2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The 3 day stay was exactly as we had hoped. The garden with pool was perfect for our kids and even the idyllic stone house had everything and more (dishwasher! + Huge fridge + freezer) what you need for a relaxing stay. It was also important to me not to choose a styled designer building, because you do not have to be constantly afraid that the children attack something. 4G Internet modem worked perfectly, as well as the pleasant communication with Dejan. Thank you for the hospitality!

    Florian2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We spent six days in Dejan's house in August and had a great stay. We were six people and through the two bedrooms, the gallery with bed and two bathrooms was enough space for all. The house is lovingly furnished and makes a neat and clean impression. Above all, we liked the beautiful outdoor area with pool, barbecue, a small lawn with volleyball net and a kind of "lounge". The place itself is very quiet and rural and therefore perfect for relaxing. Shops, restaurants and the sea were easy to reach by car. Dejan was also available around the clock and responded to our questions and concerns quickly and gave us great advice on what the environment has to offer. We can only recommend the house.

    Moritz2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dear Dejan, it was a great time for us with the 4 children in Bratulici. They spent a lot of time in and around the pool. The House has a good climate dispite the lack af AC so we could sleep well during our holiday. Tha place is peacfull and calm close to a beautifull rocky beach Duga Uvala where we spent a lot of time. A greate location. The house is a traditional Istrian rock house with spacious livingroom and a gallery. The small but cosy bedrooms and the second bathroom are located on the first floor. The kitchen is suitable for preparing smaller dishes but rather for a breakfast and snacks than big meals. It has a small dining room and a nice covered terrace with fix wooden seats and table - sometimes a bit wobbeling. The covered branch is home made but nice shady and comfotable. Some parts of the equipment is DIY and therefore not nice but acting properly. You can find several vegetable plants and friut trees in the garden for consuming which is a good idea. All together it is a good location, a friedly, well equiped and clean house. I recoommend it for families with children.

    János2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful relaxing time. The house and the whole area is very nice and you have a lot of space. For all questions we could at any time turn to Dejan and got an immediate response. I can only recommend this place for everyone, as we had nothing to complain about. Gladly again!

    Judith2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Villa Maestral with a total of 6 adults and 3 children. Dejan is a very nice and acted host. Starting with the early arrival of ours, which was not a problem about a warm welcome, a surprise for the children (a children's pool with inflatable slide and water toys) to the guest gift on departure. He inquired in between whether everything was okay and offered to look over, if there were problems. The description of the house is great, but the photos are bigger than it is. There is no big luxury, as far as the decor is concerned, which was not in the way of the great holiday. At the pool were more than enough beach chairs, including thick cushions available. And 4 sunshades, from which one the 2 smaller with the beach could take. The Scorpions have scared us a bit, with which we did not reckon. But after a short google search, it was soon clear that they were safe. Also the large wasps were warm, as they left us alone and were more concerned with the splash of pool and outdoor shower. Thank you for a great time with you! We had a lot of fun and would come again!

    Jeannette2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really very nice stay in the house. Everything was clean and well equipped. Dejan was very attentive and friendly. In addition, he was always reachable, always wrote back or answered personally. From him we also got some tips and recommendations, which one in the area can undertake. For example, the nearest beach was very nice and there were not too many people there. What was disturbing, however, were the Nachbarshunde, since these are already quite loud in the morning. In addition, there were around the house a few insects, however, there were flies everywhere, which was also not bad. In the end, the wind destroyed a sunshade, which we had to pay, even though it had previously only been tentatively covered with tape. After all, we did not have to pay the new price. All in all, Dejan's house is highly recommended and we had a really nice time.

  • It’s a perfect place to stay if you prefer a calm atmosphere although you will definitely need a car. Jasmina’s house is comfortable and spacious and offers everything you might need. Jasmina is a great host and a communication with her is easy. We enjoyed our stay and I can recommend this place.

    Marija2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jasminas house is very comfortable! Big space in the yard outside and also inside. My family stayed over Christmas and really appreciated the Christmas touches. There are three bathrooms, each with showers. The upstairs bedrooms have great views. We also used the outdoor BBQ for roasting marshmallows, which the kids loved. There isn’t a shop in the village, so make sure you bring some grocery supplies with you. Highly recommend place.

    Janelle2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jasmina is a very nice hostess. The house is much nicer as in the photos :-) also end of October worth a trip. Kavran is a bit out of the way. Easy to reach by car. Idyllic location! We will be back!

  • Jasmina was a fantastic host from when we booked the beautiful villa to when we had to say goodbye. This villa is situated in a quiet village in the country side, so it’s perfect for spending time thinking about nothing and letting the world go by. You could do this because the villa is fully kitted out with everything you could think of. You would ideally need a car to stay at this villa. There is safe, gated off road parking as well. The finish on this property is very high spec which you can tell throughout. Will be staying here again in the future.

    Jamie2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house that looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean and modern and the host is really nice. We definitely would come again.

  • Possibly one of the best airbnb’s I have ever stayed at. The pictures do not it justice and I really enjoyed my stay there. I would advice to hire a car if you want to go and see different places. Will definitely come back when I visit again.

    Taridzo2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Villa Natali. The house really exceeded our expectations!! The rooms are spacious and super comfortable. The pool is big enough to start your day with some swimming exercises and to cool down during the hot hours of the day. The villa is brand new and so are all the utilities. Kavran itself is not very lively, but Krnica and Krnica Porat are wonderful places nearby to have lunch or dinner. The supermarket is a 5 minute drive and every morning there is small mobile bakery in the village of Kavran, literally a 2 minute walk from the house. The bathrooms (there are 3) are comfortable and clean. The kitchen has everything you need and the living room also contains a sleeping couch for 2 people. The communication was efficient and super friendly. Jasmina always responded within half an hour to any questions that we had. We felt welcome and well taken care of! I would come back any time when I visit the area of Pula again! All the best in the future :)

  • The apartment is nice, neat, clean and has everything you need. The local restaurants and the supermarket are within walking distance. Maja & Robi are very friendly and attentive, plenty of tips what to see in the area and respond quickly. Definitely recommended to stay!

    Ellen2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Maja e Robi's apartment is beautiful and equipped with every comfort, with a patio shaded by a lush vine. The cleaning is perfect and the supply of towels and linen more than ample. The owners are very kind and provide a series of useful information on what to see and where to eat nearby. The beaches are not far away and are beautiful. Too bad that we had to interrupt our vacation due to an accident. We hope to return.

    Elisa2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We spent in August 2019, 16 days in Majas & Robys Apartment and can recommend it without any restrictions. Air conditioning, fridge incl. Ice compartment, dishwasher and even washing machine is available and can be used at no extra cost. Overall, the small apartment is clean and very well furnished. In particular, the kitchen is high quality and fully equipped with all things that are needed. Outside there is a brick barbecue, benches, table and comfortable armchairs. Every day it was a pleasure to sit there and drink a beer with friends. The place Krnica is a small village which is not (yet) overcrowded. Nevertheless, there is a small shop, a well-equipped bakery, a post office and three restaurants, all with good food and fair prices. In the surrounding area there are many beautiful bays for swimming and relaxing. Depending on which bay one drives you need to the sea about 10-20 minutes by car. Now for the best: Maja & Roby! We have not experienced something like this in many years Croatia vacation! The two were the greatest hosts. There were tips for trips, a beautiful boat trip with Roby and much more. When we arrived it was our hosts, when we left we were friends!

    Ingo2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Maja and Roby were super generous hosts, communication was very quick and accurate and the apartment was perfect. Super clean and everything you need in a holiday apartment was there. The village is really nice and quiet, beach is only a few minutes by car away and we had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Highest recommendations!

    Valentin2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Best host for a long time! Everything was as described. Krnica is a very nice little town with everything you need. Near the little harbour you find many cosy little beach places where you can spend the whole day without beeing disturbed. Maja&Robi are perfect hosts with every help to every time. With Robi you can do two different types of boats tours with his own boat. The two rooms appartement was perfect for us, this time without children, and we enjoyed it very much! Thank‘s a lot Maja&Robi, we‘ll return for sure! Nice regards from Austria 🇦🇹! Petra&Horst

  • If you want to spend your holidays away from the big tourist crowds in Istria, you are well advised to visit the apartment of Maja and Robi in Krnica. It is located only a short distance from the pristine town center with 'super' market, 3 restaurants, bakery, post office - currency exchange. For great equipment, the two also provide a calendar of events for concerts, parties, etc. in the area. Robi also runs an excursion boat, with which we made a great day trip to the surrounding bays and 'fjords'. Since we liked it so much, we even extended a few more days.

    Wolfgang2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • ☺️ We had a great time in Krnica, the flat has everything you could ever need and more. Everything was as described, worked well and the attention to detail was incredible (already made ice cubes in the freezer, mosquito repellent, detergent..). Robi and Maja are lovely hosts, they took us on a boat trip we will never forget, highly recommend (even saw dolphins)!

    Sascha2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a very nice and relaxing week at Maja's place in Krnica. The apartment satisfied our every need. Cool front porch with BBQ grill under grapevines. Helpful recommendations and an overview of current shows, exhibitions and markets in the area included.

Additionally to that in garden is barbecue with additional table and chairs, perfect for chilling out with glass of wine under magnificent starry sky. Also in garden you can find two sunbeds with small desk, ideal location for leisure, reading a book or just sunbathing. House is pets friendly, and large garden is suitable for boat trailers. But location of the house enables you to reach most of Istrian towns famous for its sights, food and wine (e.g. Pula, Rovinj) within 45 minutes so you can get out, have fun and return to your quiet piece of heaven in Bratulici.
House is situated in small village of Bratulici in Istrian hinterland only 7 kilometers form beach. Bratulici is a small quiet village with approx. 20 houses. Our house is on the village fringe so you have all the privacy you might want. Bratulici are only 21 kilometers away from Pula (historic city with beautiful sights and plenty of events), 42 kilometer from Rovinj (one of the most romantic city on Mediterranean) and 25 kilometer from Labin. Located in Istrian hinterland there are many small towns which are worth visiting like Svetvincenat, Motovun, Groznjan… In the nearby village of Manjadvorci there is horse riding camp which offers a whole range of trips, form half-hour long short tours to whole day trips which include riding in the sea. In village of Glavani (6 km away) you can find “Glavani Adventure park” with best and largest high ropes climbing course in Croatia, it also has an animal park for everyone to see goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and all the babies plus, of course, the ever friendly dogs and cats. Regarding restaurants there is plenty of offers in neighborhood. We can recommend restaurant-agrotourism "Partner" with traditional istrian cuisine, 100 meters from the house, and pizzeria "Luna" in Prodol, 3 km from Bratulici. The nearest stores are in villages of Krnica and Barban, 5 km away, while the nearest supermarkets and shopping mall are in Pula, 21 km away. There is a whole range of inspiring sights in the closest vicinity of the house such as amazing purple aromatic lavender fields or sweet-smelling vineyards. Woods around the village are suitable for walking and biking and there are almost no cars in the village.
  • This is an amazing find, and made our Croatian Holiday even better than we could have imagined. The house is located in the countryside, which to get to you will have to go through several cute little villages. When you Finally get to the house, you will be amazed by how big this garden is, and how full with olive trees, grape vines, rosemary bushes, fig trees... the list just goes on and on. The house itself is very nicely set up, and we were never in need to look for anything, as everything that you could possibly want was there. For us personally a huge highlight was the amazing grill, which we used most nights that we stayed. In the end we have decided this is the best airbnb experience we have had after about 4 years of using this service! We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxed Istrian Vacation. :)

  • The house is simply wonderful! Robert is a phenomenal host. All inquiries will be answered by him immediately. The property is located in a quiet village off the beaten tourist paths. Nevertheless, you can reach the sea after a few minutes. It is the ideal location for exploring Istria, since you can reach all corners in 45 minutes at the most. The garden is huge. The decor is much more tasteful than in most other offered holiday homes. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with plenty of dishes. When we arrived we even found a mixed Istrian plate with the delicacies of the region as well as a bottle of home-made wine in the fridge. He was wonderfully light and tasted excellent. We would book the accommodation anytime and immediately.

  • We stayed in Bratulici for a week and nothing was missing. We were received very friendly, even welcomed with delicacies and very kindly instructed by the hosts in everything. Our dog and we had more than enough space in the garden and we also felt comfortable in the house. We recommend it gladly and gladly come again. Greetings Anne, Janos and Oscar

  • We can only recommend Robert! We were warmly welcomed, Robert and his parents were always there if we had any questions and the accommodation was very clean! For our children the huge garden was optimal and to the surrounding beaches it is not far with the car. We really enjoyed the week and say thanks again for everything!

  • We spend two wonderful weeks at Robert's place. Since we have three little boys we enjoyed huge garden including sleeping under the big trees or at the terrace. The house is sparkling clean and really well equipped. The surrounding is also beautiful - feels like the end of the world even though it takes 10 minutes by car to the nearest shop. We found several amazing beaches. The best for us was at St. Mikolaj (Stary Rakalj) next to the red lighthouse. Especially with the kids, Robert's place is a really great choice.

  • Robert and the rest of the family were polite, helpful and responsive. The house is fresh, clean and spacious. Outdoors is perfect for children as it has lots of playground, swing, basketball, ... We enjoyed Bratuliči and the place is our only choice if we want to come to Istra again. Strongly recommend.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Robert’s familie’s place. We were welcomed very warmly by his parents, they showed us everything, answered all of our questions and even brought us a bottle of their exceptional homemade wine and plenty of local ham, cheese and some bread (it was so delicious!) The apartment is very spacious, well equipped (good kitchen, A/C, modern bathroom and a great BBQ place) and the garden is just beautiful! There are many fruit-bearing trees, tomato plants and everything you need to relax in the sun. The terrasse is a nice place to have your meals and is overgrown by (real and tasty) grapevines. The village of Bratuliçi is quite small and consists mostly of tourist apartments, but it’s not crowded. There are some small stone beaches nearby, reachable by a 4-5km footwalk or by car. If you are looking for a refuge in the beautiful mountainside of Istria, you should definitely come here!
