  • We loved "roughing it" but it was more than just a touch, it felt luxurious to us, who aren't really RV-experienced. The unit was a very clean, comfortable and fun, and John was a very responsive and accommodating host.

  • Our stay was great from start to finish. We had great communication with John. Checking in and out were both easy. John gave us some great recommendations for local things to see and do. The RV is extremely clean with plenty of storage space and room to hangout. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the Nashville, Indiana area. Just minutes from everything.

    Rustic With A Touch
    7 reviews
Sleep above a shop in a Victorian Gothic house on the village green in Nashville, Indiana. A queen bed under wallpaper skies, floor to ceiling windows, and in-room coffee and fridge. There is a private bath across the hall. Stores, restaurants, and live music are just a few steps away.
Brown County is a quirky, pretty place where you can shop, go to art galleries, eat, hear live music, hike, go mountain biking, fiddle around with zip-lines and lots of other things. My house is right in the village, making it easy to partake of our local pleasures.
Located on the north end of Nashville near Big Woods Brewery, the house is between a flower shop and a park. The street is wide and lined with trees. If you like, you can sit on one of the porches all day and watch the parade of pickup trucks, classic cars, and motorcycles as well as the trolley and the horse and carriage.
  • My wife and I had a great stay with Pamela. The location could not have been better. We were in the middle of downtown and able to walk everywhere very easily. Pamela was a great host. She was helpful with local recommendations, have everything we needed and even freshened up our room while we were out.

    Steven2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed for one night. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, strong wi-fi signal. Great downtown location. Would definitely stay again.

    William2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation met our needs in every way... the room was clean and a comfortable size; a little fridge and Krups was in the room; it was a great location at a good price. Absolutely would stay at the Emerald Pencil again on our next visit. We didn't see Pamela very much, but she was very hospitable the little we did visit with her.

    Jan2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela was superb in her recommendations on hidden gems throughout the town; she was gracious and attentive, insightful and pleasant, and made our stay feel like a home.

    Kelly2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela's place was wonderful. We couldn't imagine a more perfect location for staying right in Brown County.

We will tow and set up this beautiful camper on any campsite you rent within a 75-mile radius of Nashville, IN for a $150 fee. If you have solid towing/camper set-up experience and an adequate tow vehicle (we suggest 5000-6000 lb minimum towing capacity), you may choose to pick it up and do your own towing/setup. Nearby areas include beautiful Brown County State Park, the quaint artist's village of Nashville, IN, lovely Bloomington, IN (IU) and Lake Monroe, The Story Inn, McCormick's Creek State Park, and Columbus, IN (among many others). You can't beat this area/location and experience, and staying in this gorgeous Airstream adds a cool twist to your trip!
  • A spontaneous decision to visit our IU Junior for Parents Weekend (also a week after his 21st bday) left us with no hotel accommodations and all airbnb options booked! But then a miracle happened and Jennifer and Nick's Airstream popped up on airbnb and saved our plans! We rented the Airstream and had our first "glamping" experience - at Hoosier National Forest/Paynetown Campgrounds/Lake Monroe. GORGEOUS! We surprised our son and had a great vacation all in one! Jennifer and Nick thought of everything us MN travelers would need - including a cooler and beach towels for our boating day (you can rent boats right at the park!) We paid them to deliver the Airstream to the park, set everything up and met them upon our arrival for instructions. Beautiful weather and Beautiful Airstream! We'll be back later this year and definitely next year for Parents Weekend and Graduation!

A cozy loft located above Salt Creek Winery's tasting room, downtown Nashville, IN. Walking distance to everything. Full Kitchen, 1 Full Bath, 1 Bedroom with new queen bed, 1 cot bed and 1 new queen sleeper sofa in living room. PRICE INCLUDES ALL TAXES. Please be aware that the price varies depending on season and day of the week. The actual price will be shown prior to confirming your booking.
There is plenty of room in the loft but it is a "loft", so ceilings are sloped! The tasting room downstairs may be loud with laughter and conversation during business hours.
Located behind Bigwoods Brewery and Pizza in the heart of downtown Nashville. Close to great food and night life. Nashville is a historic artist colony with lots of small shops, dining and galleries. Salt Creek Winery has a tasting room on the lower level of the rental, but the entrance to the upstairs is entirely separate.
  • The loft was clean, cozy and comfortable. Adrian was quick to reply to any questions I had. If you are looking for privacy and quiet, this is the place to stay. Thank you Adrian for letting us stay in your loft. We loved it & will be back.

    Carla2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the weekend at the Wine Loft as it was centrally located between Franklin College and IU Bloomington where our two kids go to school. It was a perfect place to spend time with the kids. The Loft was perfect...clean and had everything we needed.

    Rhonda2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful little place nested right in the heart of everything. It was a quick drive to the park for some hiking, but it was wonderful to just mosey around downtown Nashville. I would highly recommend Adrian's place to anyone who wants to visit the Nashville area. He was very accommodating, communicative, and everything was wonderful!

    Maria2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • I worked from the loft for a week. Totally quiet and comfy with good internet connection. Spic and span, too.

    Erin2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location and very clean and inviting. The fireplace was a nice surprise too. We knew we were staying over a business and we wouldn't have expected the apartment to be quiet during their business hours. However, we could not even fall asleep at midnight due to the noise downstairs. Unfortunately, we were also awakened at 7:30 am on Sunday morning due to the same banging noise below us. That is unacceptable when your business is open from 11:00 to 6:00. Not sure we would ever be back for a stay here.

    Gina2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great Stay at Salt Creek Winery Loft. Very clean and comfortable. Location is top notch for walkability downtown. Host was very hospitable and gracious. Heater and water pressure were great! Cable TV, movie selections, and strong WiFi signal. Affordable and great amenities for the value. We loved our visit and will recommend to friends.

    madelynne2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • We came down to do some mountain biking at Brown County State Park, and made the wine loft our home base for a long weekend. What a great choice! We found it clean and cozy, and appreciated having a full kitchen which saved us from eating out for breakfast every morning. The location was perfect; literally steps away from the brewpub and all the shops town, yet just slightly off the beaten track and so also manages to be quite serene. We met Adrian and his wife downstairs, and they are very friendly. Wish we’d had time to enjoy a glass of wine or two in the tasting room, but we ran out of time. Will definitely be back!

    Andrea2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Location is outstanding, walk anywhere in Nashville in minutes... Adrian is extremely helpful and the loft was exactly as described...loved sitting on the deck and having a glass of wine! Just the weekend away we needed!

The Olde Magnolia House Inn is nestled in the quant village of Nashville, IN. It is filled with artists and musicians and is located in the beautiful hills of Brown County. There is a plethora of activities including shopping, zip lining, hiking and biking. But the best part about the town is that it is a quiet place to relax and get away from your busy life.
"Staying at the Inn is like being in my grandparents room and my room at the same time" Modern amenities amidst a history rich home is what makes it a unique and comfortable place to stay.
  • What an unexpected and amazing find! Nancy, the owner/host, is fantastic and made us feel more like we were members of her family than guests from the internet. My wife and I came from Chicago to Brown County for a quick outdoor getaway weekend to mountain bike, hike, and tour downtown Nashville and wanted to stay at a place that was charming, convenient and affordable. Nancy's place exceeded our expectations by delivering on all three and even more. The Olde Magnolia House Inn is a quaint Victorian two story house with a large porch located on the south side of the downtown. It is nestled just one block off the main drag and is conveniently located within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and galleries in Nashville - nothing is more than 5 minutes away. The 3 French Impressionist themed guest rooms (we stayed in the Van Gogh) are located on the second floor of the owner/host occupied house. Nancy is an artist that also has her retail boutique store on the first floor where she sells vintage goods and curios. The densely merchandised store on the first floor has some exceptionally unique pieces that you will not be able to find anywhere else. Our room was tidy and clean with plenty of room for our bags. The in suite bathroom was perfect, but suggest that one at a time get into the clawfoot tub and shower. Access to modern comforts such as free wifi, a smart TV, and surge protectors with usb plugs were pleasant and unexpected surprises that weren't expected. When all is said and done, Nancy, is the bonus to everything and made our stay truly memorable. She is the ultimate insider and knows everyone and everything to do in town. And she loved to share all of this information with us. Not only did she point us in the direction of the distillery in Gnaw Bone and Darlene's restaurant at the Hotel Nashville, but was so kind as to also let us use her garage to store the mountain bikes that we rented from Heritage Point. She even let us arrive late and sent us the instructions for how to get into her house (although I didn't see that the rooms were upstairs and was walking around her store a touch confused) and the room. We definitely enjoyed our getaway and can't wait to return as soon as possible.

    Michael2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's information provided enabled us to check in & out without personality connecting with her. Although we wanted to be more friendly her schedule & ours did not allow that to happen. The location and accommodations met our needs very well. We have no reservations about utilizing her facilities again.

    Steve2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Quant room right in the heart of Nashville's shopping district. Had off street parking which would be important during the busy season. Nancy was extremely friendly.

    Jeff2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, easy-going host. Check in was a breeze. Host was informative, helpful and gave a run down of the house; then basically let us do our own thing. Bathroom attached to the room was EXCELLENT!

    IAN2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little place to stay within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants!

    Amy2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • A+! We definitely plan on booking this listing again. Nancy was a great host, knows the area and has great recommendations. Highly recommended.

    Adam2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Nancy is a total rock star. Mega friendly, conversational, warm and informative. We're going back just to hang out. Secondly, the house is gorgeous. Our room was clean and inspiring, and Nancy's vintage shop downstairs is curated wonderfully. You can walk to anywhere in Nashville from her place, but it's just slightly removed from all the noise so you can remove yourself from the tourism if need be. Stay here!

    Jonathan2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy was a great host. She was always around and asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. She is, of course, very knowledgeable of the area and had great recommendations for things to do. The location is great and a short walk to all Nashville shopping and dining. Would definitely recommend. So much to see and do in Briwn county!

Beautiful, wooded location provides peace while only being 1/2 mile from town and the Brown Country State Park. Enjoy the birds and deer that regularly walk through the property.
  • Delightful suite. Our favorite things were the fireplace, coffee bar, and linens. Very clean, lots of space, and everything you could need is provided. Extra linens, toiletries, poo pouri, coffee, tea, creamer, a bottle of wine, small kitchen tools, candles, heaters and fans, private parking, great outdoor seating area, etc. I could not have designed a better place myself.

  • Great place with just a short drive to the state park or town. Rooms were cosy and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. The real treat was the wonderful back yard. We loved the fire pit and porch which are great places to relax, watch the birds, or make s'mores.

    Ian2017-05-24T00:00:00Z

CJ was a wonderful hostess and the unit has all the amenities and privacy any guest would appreciate. Much better than any Brown County hotel experience I have had. Highly recommended!

  • We had an awesome little get a way at CJ's place! I absolutely loved the perfectly decorated nautical retreat! We spent most of the time down on the dock or on the boat fishing! We even got to be out on the boat fishing under the full moon! We also roasted hot dogs by the fire and drank wine...because we're fancy like that! ;) We loved that it felt kind of secluded, but it was only a 5 minute drive to town for shopping at all of the cute stores! We will definitely be back!!

  • In an idyllic setting, this Airbnb provided the perfect respite for us and our daughter as we attended her graduation festivities at IU in Bloomington. It was the perfect distance from the hubbub of activity 25 minutes away. We did not use the more than adequate kitchen facilities (except for coffee) because we were able to dine in the interesting, quaint town of Nashville on great local fare. The accommodations are tasteful and simple and perfect. Wish we could have enjoyed them longer!

  • All was great. What a cool spot

  • Where to begin? The view; so lovely to look out over the forest through large picture windows curled up drinking my morning coffee. I can only imagine as autumn progresses how magnificent it will become. The space itself is open and comfortable with plenty of room to move around and keep personal belongings out of the way. The music history on the walls is fascinating, but I don't wish to say more and spoil it for others. The tub is large, deep and contains a handheld wand which reminded me of trips to Europe, but does not allow for a traditional stand-up shower. This posed no problem for us, but could if someone had limited arm mobility. Deer were all around so keep your eyes peeled especially at night! A very nice experience that I would not hesitate to recommend.

  • Had a great stay at the Nashville West Art & Music Studio this weekend. Nashville has it's own relaxed, laid-back vibe and this place definitely fits in with that. The studio was a little bit outside Nashville, but was close enough that it was convenient. The accommodations were nice and the view was spectacular. Roberta was responsive and helpful in dealing with arrangements and messaging. Toby was there to met us when we arrived. He was super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us staying there. He ran over the studio details and was prepared to give us as much of a low down on local hot spots and activities as we wanted. The black dog that greeted us at the lake, also considered everyone a friend and it was entertaining to watch him "fish". Felt like I had the Nashville cabin/place in the woods that I could kick back at but not the 2nd mortgage ...

    David2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by woods, yet a few minutes from downtown Nashville. This was definitely a unique space. There is no shower, but the bathtub is really nice (big and deep, lots of water pressure and hot water). It is a musician's space with a recording studio and looks to be set up to allow anyone to spend the night and be comfortable. Our host, Toby, met us on time and showed us around. He was very friendly, then left and we did not see him again. We were only there for one night.

    Jeanne2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The room was surprisingly eclectic and tasteful. Toby greeted us, showed us around a bit and gave us space. Everything was clean, smelled great and the views were beautiful. Squirrels and birds greeted us with the sunrise! Perfect distance from town.

    Drew2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • I was greeted by one of the owner's when I arrived and he walked me through the place. Everything was as described in the listing. Definitely a comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable place to stay. Looking forward to a return trip.

Enjoy the beauty of Brown County at Trinity Hill. Trinity Hill is located just South of State Road 46 On State Road 135 south. This country retreat is located just minutes from Brown County State Park, the Horseman’s Park, Story, Nashville, and more
  • Trinity Hill was just what we were looking for - secluded, quiet, and super relaxing. No cell / wifi meant that we were able to disconnect for a few days, but the charming Nashville (mmm - fried biscuits with apple butter) was a short drive away. The pics don't to this listing justice; the cabin is charming and immaculate. The hot tub sits out under the stars and is right off the master bedroom. If you're looking for a super relaxing and secluded getaway for a few days, I highly recommend this spot.

    Justin2015-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our group very much enjoyed our stay at Trinity Hill! We found the property to be just as we expected and really, really enjoyed having the hot tub to unwind in at night. Jim and Jan's directions and instruction sheets at the house were easy to follow and left us with no questions. We also enjoyed cooking and chatting around the kitchen table. The house had enough kitchenware for us to make what we needed to make. It was just what we had in mind for a girls weekend away! Would definitely recommend a group of no more than 5 due to there only being 1 shower. The house was a short drive to all the fun in Nashville (wineries, horseback riding, shopping, etc), but far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful and relaxing. Satellite TV service was an unexpected, but welcomed amenity during downtime. Note: cell service is very spotty at the house, so plan accordingly.

    Sarah2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cute. Clean. Fun. Safe. We absolutely loved it. There is no reception or wifi, but we needed that disconnection and appreciated it. Everything you could need and more was provided! You'll absolutely love this place!

    Carol2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Easy location to find, drivable to the state park and local sites. We enjoyed the hot tub. The road does get a lot of traffic at all hours which was unexpected. Come with basic oil and spices if you are cooking. We would recommend this place to friends and family.

  • The description, although a little lacking, is very accurate! Honestly, the host didn't do it justice if anything! Such an adorable place RIGHT around the corner from the entrance of Brown County State Park, and also a 5 minute drive from Nashville Indiana, one of the cutest towns you can get to. Lots and lots of unique shopping, coffee shops, and eateries. You can easily spend all day in town, although leaving the cabin will be hard, you'll want to stay THERE all day! Truly adorable home with spacious rooms and everything supplied for your stay. There was even lavender bubble bath soap for their huge tub. I want to keep coming back here. Jim was quick to respond to any issues... there were some issues with the hot tub, but he helped us figure them out. This place is phenomenal. Much cuter than even shown.

    Kieffer2017-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had the sweetest time at this cabin! Nature and no wifi made it a perfect place to relax, refresh, and refocus! The cabin is beautiful! The pond and paddle boat were perfect...we spent so much time there catching fish and enjoying the view. We hiked trails and we absolutely LOVED the hot tub under the stars! I don't think we could have found a more perfect place for our family of 6! We so hope to return!

  • Didn't get to meet Andy but his manager wa very accommodating and helped with anything we needed. The location was fine. A little bit of highway traffic noise but not too bad. Was some work going on next door that was a but loud but not terrible distracting. The only problem we had with the cabin and I didn't notice it in the listing but there is only bathroom and for 3 bedrooms or 6 people it was a bit of a chore in the mornings for everyone to get ready.

Andy and his staff were very responsive to any need we had which made for a very enjoyable stay. The property was very clean including the wonderful hot tub. You'll have access to our screened in porch, deck, quilts, antique furniture, clean space, native plant garden and wild grass field, breakfast, 30 acres woods, trail, refrigerator available to all guests, prepackaged snacks, 350 dvd collection, immediate area famous for hilly road cycling.
Oak Haven B&B is in a completely wooded, hilly location. Our roads are narrow and windy. To some, it seems like we live in the boonies, but we are only four miles from the town of Nashville. Nashville attracts many visitors interested in art and music. You will find locals playing music almost any night somewhere in town, though keep in mind, our little town rolls up the sidewalks early. Brown County State Park is six miles from the B&B, Yellowwod State Forest is six or twelve miles (depends on how adventurous you are), and the Tecumseh Trail is easily accessed from the B&B. Road cyling and mountain biking are extremely popular activities in the area. We are five miles from Bill Monroe Country Music Park, 16 miles from Columbus IN and 15 miles from Indiana University and Bloomington IN.
  • Nice, clean accommodations very near Nashville, IN, and about 20 minutes from Bloomington, IN, the center of our activities for the week-end. Everything's as advertised. • Sharon was an amazing host. Was very warm and welcoming when we arrived. Her experience of 14 years as a B&B owner really showed. She knew her business. The setting of her home on 30 secluded, wooded acres outside of Nashville was a relaxing retreat from our town visit. We spent the night on the screened porch with a bottle of wine and watched the sunset through the trees. Amazing. Sharon had snacks, soft drinks and coffee available for us which was nice, also lots of reading material about the history of the area. Added bonus a delicious hot breakfast served family style and shared by all the guests sitting around the kitchen table. Great food and conversation.

Sarah’s Cabin is a cozy and romantic 1 BR log cabin located on Fondulac Farm's 45 scenic acres with 3 ponds. The cabin has a screened porch and is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a small charcoal grill. Fishing, canoeing and fire pit with fire wood are also available at no additional cost. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • My wife and I vowed to return to Sarah's cabin after our stay last October and we are so glad that we were able to! We highly recommend Sarah's cabin. If you book, be sure to take the canoe for a spin and look out for the huge turtles. We nick-named the largest "Sammy" - he is a monster! We hope to return yet again in the future. Thank you!

    Amy2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely lovely setting! We got to meet the hosts, who were fabulous. We enjoyed walking the grounds and around the ponds, all beautifully maintained. The cabin was cozy, very clean, and peaceful. Because it is an older cabin that has been renovated and added to, it is a little quirky in its layout. The bedroom is up a few steps, and the microwave and fridge ware in the bathroom closet. It would be difficult to prepare a meal here, as there is just a small microwave and small refrigerator (which is how it is listed), with paper plates, bowls, and cups, and real utensils, but not any sort of pots or real dishes. For our stay of just 2 nights, it was fine. There is a grill for use outside. Nashville is less than 10 minutes, and Bloomington is about 25 minutes. We would stay here again, but would probably choose the other unit if it is available and has a full kitchen. The views, peacefulness and location cannot be beat!

  • This mill is a perfect location for a weekend getaway. With great views, cozy places to relax and a one of a kind mill to live in, this location is bound to become a popular place to stay. A 10-15 minute drive from the Nashville stores and even closer to Brown County State Park, this spot is perfectly located near many of the attractions of Brown County. The hosts are even nicer than the mill itself, overall this pace is a must stay.

  • My family and I love Brown county. This converted mill-come-art-studio was eclectic, unique and each part of the building and decoration has a great back-story! There were pieces by Brad Cox posted inside and out, and he invited me into his studio and showed off his process. The interior was fashioned from wood cut from the surrounding forest, and a section looked like a cabin-within-a-cabin. The family was nearby if I had questions, and they were very gracious and accommodating. Wi-fi was spotty out in this rustic masterpiece, so be ready to "get-away-from-it-all" and enjoy the best of the fall colors! Loved it! Will visit again!

The decor was super cute and very functional. We were traveling with a 10 week old, 5 year old, two teenagers and two adults and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out and relax. There's a neat bakery right next door with tasty baked goods and fresh local produce. The peaches were exceptional! We were 5 minutes from Brown County State Park and 10 minutes from Nashville. Wild Grace Camp is bordered by 180 acres of forest. There are 5 sleeping huts, a kitchen hut, and bathroom facilities in the main house up the hill. Fall is a beautiful time for this easy-camping and meandering on nearby trails. You bring your bedding, shower and cooking supplies. A tiny refrigerator is in the kitchen hut with table and chairs in case your campfire dinner is rained out.
Some call it "glamping," short for "glamour camping" because you don't have to set up your tent. Glamourous isn't exactly the word for our basic sleeping huts, but they do provide a warm, dry place to stash your stuff while you snooze. They even have electricity! The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful with songs by the forest critters to lull you to sleep each night.
There are a few other houses on the road, but for the most part, you can't even see them from the campsite area. Sometimes a neighbor's dog will run through the yard or you might hear a hunter's gunshot in the distance during hunting season.

  • This was our first Air bnb experience. My family and I felt completey welcomed and comfortable during our stay at Alex's home in Nashville. The house was large enough to accommodate us (6 people one night and 5 people the second night) comfortably., yet it was very cozy and relaxed. The setting was wooded and we enjoyed the large deck in back for our meals and to sit and relax. The location was easy to find from the north (Fort Wayne,IN) and from Bloomington,IN, where my daughter was graduating from IU. Alex was easy to contact, and she left a detailed list of notes regarding the house and use of the appliances and facilities. We all really enjoyed our weekend there and would definitely consider returning in the future. Thanks Alex!

Behind the house is Beanblossom creek that will lead you straight to Lake Lemon (bring kayaks/canoes). The house is comfortable and cute but the real joy is the covered porch and dock. Step back in time and enjoy a renovated 200 yr. old log cabin on 25 beautiful acres in Brown County Indiana. Whether you choose to make this your relaxing getaway retreat or gather together with your family and friends you can’t help but to enjoy the warmth and charm of this cabin. Situated on 25 acres of wooded land with an approx. 1 acre lake this property has it all.
  • If you're looking for a unique and good place to stay in the Nashville, IN area....this is it! We had a family get-together with 9 of us from 2 - 70. Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville and of course Nashville are easily accessible and offer a great variety. OR ... You can stay at the cabin and enjoy the quiet, hot-tub or walk up to the pond and fish. This ain't the Ritz... But it's a good layout, well kept with great hosts!

Our three bedroom/three full bathroom luxury cabin is situated next to our goat farm, surrounded by 46 acres of gentle pasture, home to 24 (and counting) Nigerian dwarf goats and more than 2 dozen free ranging chickens. Our luxury cabin is perfect for a honeymoon or a get away for any individual, couple or group of friends. We welcome you to the Goat Conspiracy Cabin to experience the peace, calm and even excitement that staying at our beautiful home on our farm can bring you.
Inside our three bedroom, three full bathroom cabin, modern meets rustic. The living room provides a cozy place to settle in for conversation or a book by the fireplace. Our fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining room with a nice view of the farm and photographs by talented local nature photographer, Steve Cox. Our master bedroom suite is truly magnificent. The bedroom has a king sized bed, cathedral ceilings, a walk in closet and large ceiling fans; plenty of windows allow you to wake up gently to natural light if you so choose. The bedroom walls are hung with a stunning fiber art piece by Martina Celerin (titled so appropriately, “A Walk in the Woods”). The master bathroom includes both a corner Jacuzzi with windows overlooking our fields on both sides and a spacious full tiled double shower. Climb the staircase to the upstairs loft, separated into a larger bedroom area with three twin beds and an adjoining yet separate area, stocked with floor pillows, yoga mats and pilates ball that can be used as a tranquil meditation or yoga studio as well as a futon couch to accommodate two more potential sleepers. For larger groups, there is another closed bedroom with a king sized bed on the main floor. Relax in comfortable patio furniture, our double hammock or settle into the porch swing on the large front deck that overlooks acres and acres of pasture and our stocked pond. Or have dinner on the back deck overlooking gently sloped pasture leading to the Salt Creek. Here at the Goat Conspiracy, you are just a short walk to fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and canoeing.
The cabin is located on five acres adjacent to the Goat Conspiracy Farm. The five acres where vacation rental is situated includes our acre pond which was stocked in the spring of 2016 with bluegill, bass, crappy, catfish and minnows. The fish are quite small still but you are invited to try your hand at fishing or just spend time at the pond enjoying the peace of the water, the sound of the frogs and watch the great blue herons and bald eagles flying above. A short walk behind the cabin is the Salt Creek, which is a great place for paddling a kayak or canoe. In the winter, please strap on our snowshoes and explore the outdoors, and if you happen to be here during a full moon, you are in for a special treat!
  • Amazing cabin with scenic views! I will definitely be coming back! Tim

  • Absolutely perfect. Nicole's communication was outstanding, and the cabin was exactly as advertised. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and scenic. The location is right between Bloomington and Nashville, IN so we spent our time between the two. If you're looking to unplug, spend a weekend here. We'll definitely be back.

  • Nicole was great and the place was beautiful! Nicole was very welcoming. She had a basket of goodies made up for us and freshly ground coffee which was really all I cared about ;) She was very responsive when we asked questions about the area, restaurants and what to do. When we go back we will definitely look into The Goat Conspiracy again.

  • The welcoming basket was the first thing that greeted you upon entering the cabin. What a pleasant way to start your stay. Just about anything you would need for a fun time is there waiting for you. Nicole was the perfect hostess and made herself available if needed. Coming from the city, it was so comfortable to sit on the porch swing and soak up the nature that surrounds you.

A delightful and detached studio guest house surrounded by Yellowwood State Forest on our 10 acres located on a quiet dead-end road between Nashville and Bloomington. The property boasts an organic garden, fishing pond, and six entertaining chickens.
This detached studio guest house is located halfway between Bloomington, Indiana and the artists' village of Nashville, Indiana--each about a 15 minute drive. Our home and guest house sit on 10 acres, about half of which is wooded and connected to Yellowwood State Forest and the other half on which we play and work to produce organic fruit, berries, herbs, vegetables, and flowers. We share the property with a sweet rooster and 5 hens that lay fresh eggs every day. We provide fresh eggs in the fridge and other fresh food depending on what's available from the property that day. Guests can cook their own meals in the full size, fully equipped kitchen and dine at the kitchen table or at the picnic table outside. The studio guest house has a full bath including a laundry facility. There is no tub, only a large shower, but we can provide a small tub for bathing a baby/toddler if needed. Outside of the bath/laundry room there is a separate large studio area that includes the kitchen and living/sleeping area including a queen bed and a full-size futon (see pictures). We can have the futon made-up as a bed upon request. We live about 1 mile up a dead-end country road, at the end of which are hiking trails through Yellowwood State Forest. There is also a really nice, flat trail that follows the ridge right across from our driveway. We are 10 minutes from Yellowood Lake Recreation Area, 15 minutes to Brown County State Park, and half an hour from Monroe Reservoir and the Hoosier National Forest.
  • Great experience. My wife and I are always looking for some place that has great hiking and food nearby. We found both here! Each morning we woke up, made breakfast with the fresh eggs that were left for us then packed up our daughter and went for a hike at a trail that starts right outside the property's driveway. It was great. Also, the property itself is beautiful. A pond, willow tree, daffodils, an awesome magnolia tree, chickens, and a super friendly dog which our daughter loved. The city of Bloomington is just a few minutes drive away. You can find plenty of food and a really great record store there (Landlocked Music). We'll definitely be recommending this to friends.

  • Lovely country cottage next to hosts' home located between Nashville and Bloomington. Clean, well lighted and quiet, the cottage is as it is described and photographed on the Airbnb website. The cottage was clean, comfortable with a great bed and well appointed kitchen and bathroom. The large shower and central air conditioning were pluses. The hosts were very pleasant and their dog Mick, an Austrailian healer, was a gem. A great location for a quiet, undisturbed getaway!

  • This is a lovely, clean, comfortably furnished studio space in the midst of a national forest. Sarah was very gracious about our late arrival and left a light on for us to find our way in the dark. Steve gave us directions to hiking trails in the morning. Our breakfast of fresh eggs with tomato and basil from the garden was yummy. We had a wonderful, too brief stay and I'm sure I'll be back. Thanks to Sarah and Steve!

    Kate2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! Sarah and Steve were very welcoming and made it clear they were available if we needed anything! The guest house had all the basics complete with fresh eggs! Its a beautiful farm and so peaceful and quiet! A great retreat from the city! The area is also very pretty with lots of hiking opportunities.

This log cabin-style lake house is spacious yet cozy. Nashville, Indiana is only a 15 minute drive away! Lots of unique shops, restaurants and wine tasting. Brown County also includes an array of trails and parks. Bloomington and Indiana University are also only 20 minutes away which provide even more shopping and dining options. The Log Cabin is also the perfect place to come home and relax after a tour and tasting at the beautiful Oliver Winery.
This unique, custom-made lakefront home sits on a hill on the north shore of Lake Lemon, providing a great and spanning view of the lake and channel. There is a grill on the upper porch that can be used if needed. Help yourself to anything you might need in the refrigerator and pantries (we try to keep it stocked with sugar, coffee, creamer and other random but necessary items. Screened-in porch also with view of lake. Great dock and area for fishing and/or swimming (feel free to use any fishing poles you find in the boat house!) There is also a bon fire pit by the dock and plenty of fire wood will be provided!
The neighbors are all really nice and helpful but should always be treated with respect. It also never hurt to say hi or wave if you see anyone! :)
  • Beautiful lake cabin with great views. A great place to stay for a nice secluded getaway. Host was easy to contact and very friendly. Bloomington, IN was only 30 minutes away. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

  • Beautiful multi-level cabin on the lake. Very spacious. Jack had everything we needed for our stay including fire wood for the fire pit. Highly recommend.

  • This is a gorgeous lakeside cabin - even prettier than the pictures. It's very spacious and has two balconies with a view of the lake by day and the stars by night. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and Jack was easy to work with. Nashville is not next door, by near by enough that it's not far to go for supplies. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay with friend or family.

Our ground floor gallery apartment is nestled in Yellowwood State Forest on a small organic farm, b/w Nashville & Bloomington. This spacious 1BR has a private entrance & is ideal for 2 guests but can sleep up to 4 with futon in LR.
This apartment, on the ground floor of our home, is located halfway between the vibrant university town of Bloomington, Indiana and the quaint artists' village of Nashville, Indiana. The cozy, welcoming apartment is decorated with paintings from the host, Mark Blaney, on-site artist. The apartment features Mark's beautiful work, with paintings in every room. Our home sits on a small organic farm, The Blue Farm, which raises berries, herbs, vegetables, flowers, and 130 hens, laying eggs fresh, every day. Guests will have farm fresh eggs in the fridge and other farm-to-table food depending on what's available in the garden that day. Guests can cook their own meals in the full size kitchen and dine at the kitchen table or out on the front porch. The apartment also has a full bath, laundry facility, large bedroom and living room with a couch that has a hide-abed. Also in the living room is a TV with a DVD player and a selection of movies to choose from. The bedroom has a queen size, brand new, mattress. If you need the futon, it's there to pull out into a full size bed. The front porch area has a table for dining and a porch swing to enjoy while you take in the sound of clucking hens and watching the sunset over the woods. You will have your own private space. If outside, you will probably hear the clucking hens and perhaps occasional barking of our four dogs (outside, but in the back of our home). The apartment itself is pet free and is non-smoking. At the end of our dead-end country road is access to hiking trails in beautiful Yellowwood Forest. Having lived in the area since 1985, we will happily give you information on sites and attractions and how to find your way around. We are about 20 minutes from downtown Bloomington and the IU campus and about the 25 min. from downtown Nashville. We are 10 minutes from Yellowood Lake which has beautiful hiking trails, a serene lake and excellent bird watching. Our home is 1 1/2 miles down a winding country road. The craftsman style home sits in between two forests-- Yellowood State Forest is our backyard and Morgan Monroe State Forest is our front yard. PLEASE NOTE: Being in the middle of the woods, the occasional mouse or bug can make its way into the house. We make all efforts to keep this to an absolute minimum and in a way that protects us and the environment from toxins. Please try to keep an open mind, as an occasional meeting of Mother Nature's critters is a small price to pay for her absolute beauty in this pristine location!
We live on a quiet country road with wonderful neighbors. There's a horse nearby to give handfuls of grass to. Take a walk on nearby trails in the woods. Enjoy the sounds of nature from your front porch. You are a short distance from Indiana University with one of the nation's most beautiful campuses. Also nearby is Nashville, Indiana. A ten minute's drive to Yellowwood Forest and Yellowwood Lake. About a half hour's drive and you'll find Lake Monroe. From Bloomington's visitor website: Bloomington is located in the lush rolling hills of south-central Indiana, and is the perfect combination of charm and culture, a city that's progressive but not pretentious, hip but also welcoming.
  • My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the farm. It was a nice and serene place to spend the weekend and catch up with each other. We appreciated the tour of the gardens, chickens and of course the studio. (I will enjoy the print I purchased of the horses!) The greens, bread, eggs and other items waiting for us were delicious. We hope to visit again!!! Julie and Mark are fortunate to live in such a beautiful area.

    Jean2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Julie made us feel right at home by providing fresh baked bread, eggs from the chickens on her farm as well as some fresh-picked blueberries. We enjoyed how comfortable the apartment was and how we had our own private entrance. We were close enough to Bloomington to grab a bite to eat.

    Jonathan2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great Experience. The apartment was very nice, with a large kitchen if you want to do some cooking yourself. The hosts were very friendly and showed us around the garden and where they keep the chickens. About the perfect location if you want to visit Bloomington and Brown County State Park.

    Brian2014-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary here at the Blue Farm and we couldn't have celebrated it at a better place, the apartment itself was better than described from the moment we walked in we knew that we were going to enjoy our stay here. From the beautiful paintings on the walls to the food that was provided for us in the refrigerator and on the counter by the hosts we knew we were in for a treat. It didn't take long for us to settle in, fact is we enjoyed the kitchen so much instead of going out for our anniversary we stayed in and cooked there. The location couldn't be better halfway between Nashville and Bloomington the drive to either town was a nice trip. The hosts Mark and Julie were two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet they gave us a wonderful tour of their Blue Farm and explained what things were and how they worked (even a city boy like myself understood....kind of). They went out of their way to make us feel at home and welcomed AND WE DID,so on our 33rd anniversary we both agreed that The Blue Farm is where we want to celebrate it at. Thanks again Mark and Julie for sharing your wonderful place with us.

    Jeff2014-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • From the onset, I knew this space would be a great fit. Julie was kind, descriptive, and thoughtful in her communication. Upon arrival in the area, stress started to dissolve, even more so getting on to the road to the neighborhood, which is very scenic and rural. The apartment itself is very neat, spacious, and welcoming. Bread and eggs from the farm were a nice touch. Julie and Mark were very genuine. Naturally welcoming, easy to talk to, people I would value as friends or neighbors. Simply put, it was a wholly wonderful, relaxing stay. Thanks guys :)

    Tim2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my mini-vacation at Julie and Mark's place. They are very kind hearted, genuine folks. The area is out away from the city where you can see the stars and it is wonderfully peaceful. Next time I go down to Bloomington, I will definitely stay here again if it's available. My visit provided inspiration for the lifestyle I want to live. Thank you for hosting us and be well!

    Alyssa2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our Airbnb experiences just keep getting better and better! Julie and Mark were wonderful, caring hosts who provided my wife, Sue, and me an excellent overnight visit in their country home. Removed from any noise sources except for the natural wildlife and their friendly dogs, few places can offer the solitude and enjoyment that their home does. The amenities found within the apartment were exceptional- fresh hen eggs, vegetables, mushrooms and bread for toast were welcomed for breakfast. The apartment is clean, well decorated with several of Mark's paintings and the bedroom was comfortable for a quiet night. There are many books and TV. The cost value for the size of the apartment was unparalled. Our only regret was not staying longer, but being only 2 hours away, we'll return there soon.

  • It was very nice to stay here. Ken was an amazing host. We enjoyed the hiking on the forest trails which were on the property. Unfortunately we didn't do all of them because we didn't have enough time... Our kids loved to fishing on the pond ! Ken was so nice to provide them everything what they needed - from rods and worms till bicycle pontoon and life jackets (!) Also they enjoyed the big Rope Swing near the house. And of course everyone liked outdoor fireplace with grilled sausages. During evening we spent plenty of time chilling in the sauna and hot tube which were a big plus for us.
